For the first 30 days of a new team workspace, Home replaces its usual shelf of updates with a first-week plan: six steps that take you from nothing to a published, listed episode. Each step opens the exact screen that does it, so you never have to guess where to go next.
Where it shows up
The plan appears on Home automatically for a team account created within the last 30 days, as long as no show has published and been listed yet. It disappears once your workspace graduates past that point, or if you hide it yourself.
A note at the top of the section reads how many of the six steps are done and roughly how many minutes are left. Click Hide for now to dismiss it; a confirmation lets you undo that immediately, and you can always reopen it later from the Help panel.
The six steps
- Create your show. Describe the show in a sentence or two and Mato suggests a name, cover, and hosts, all of which you can change.
- Add cover art. Upload your own or let Mato make one from your description. Podcast apps show it everywhere your show appears.
- Choose hosts and voices. Pick who hosts the show and how they sound, with a preview before you commit.
- Make your first episode. Pick one of today's suggestions or describe a topic. Nothing publishes until you say so.
- Publish it. Once the audio sounds right, publish so it goes live on your show page and feed.
- Get listed on Apple and Spotify. Send your show to podcast apps from Distribution. Review by each app can take a few days.
Click any step in the list to see its detail on the right: what happens, and a button that opens the right screen. A step already done shows a checkmark; the current step is highlighted; the rest wait their turn. You can jump ahead and work on any step regardless of order, though the plan tracks your actual progress across the workspace, not just clicks.
When you're ready
Once your show exists, three optional next moves appear below the six steps, each worth doing but not required to finish the plan:
- Interview a real guest. Send an invite and Mato records the call and cuts the best moments into an episode. See Invite a guest.
- Let listeners ask. Turn on Listener Q&A so questions from your audience can become the next episode's segment. See Set up Listener Q&A.
- Make clips from an episode. Short vertical clips with captions, ready for Instagram and TikTok. See Create clips.
