Once your show is synced to Mato hosting, the Directories card in the podcast's Distribution settings handles submitting it to podcast apps and tracking how each one responds.

Sync before you submit
Every submission action in the Directories card is disabled until Mato hosting shows Synced. If you have not synced yet, a note tells you to sync the show before you submit it to directories. See Set up Mato Distribution.
Directories that need a one-time submission
Most directories get their own row in the Directories card: Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, iHeart Radio, Podbean, Pocket Casts, Samsung Podcasts, TuneIn, Pandora, Castbox, Gaana, Deezer, Listen Notes, Podchaser, and Player FM. Each of these needs you to submit the show once through its own portal. Every row shows a status badge:

| In review | You submitted, and the platform is reviewing the show. |
| Listed | The directory has accepted and published your show. |
| Rejected | The platform declined the submission. |
Click Submit on a directory row (or Fix and resubmit if it was rejected) to open its submission dialog. The dialog shows the numbered steps for that platform, your RSS feed URL with a copy button, and a button that opens the platform's submission portal, such as Open Amazon Music. Once you have completed the platform's own form, click I've submitted it to mark the directory as in review.
Once a directory reports back that your show is live, its badge switches to Listed and, where the platform gives you a public listing page, an Open listing link appears on the row.
Directories that list the show on their own
A few directories, such as Podcast Index, list the show on their own and need no portal visit from you. The Directories card groups these in a summary row at the bottom, for example "1 more directory lists the show on its own", with a line saying how many are listed.
If none of them have been sent yet, click Send the show to submit to all of them at once. Otherwise, click Show all to see each one's individual badge, then Check again to ask Mato to refresh their statuses. Mato also checks these in the background on its own schedule, so a status can update even if you never click Check again.
Track overall progress
The Where it's live panel beside the settings keeps a running count, such as "4 of 17 directories", with how many are in review or not submitted. It also lists anything that needs your attention, such as a rejected directory or a show that still needs to sync.
What to do if a directory rejects your show
Check the common causes:
- Missing or undersized cover art.
- Description too short or containing placeholder text.
- RSS feed with zero episodes.
- Owner email that does not match the submission account.
Fix the issue, sync the show again from Mato hosting, then click Fix and resubmit on the rejected directory's row.
