The analytics tab summarizes your Listener Q&A activity over a period you choose, from raw counts down to which channel and topic your questions come from.
Open Q&A analytics
From your podcast, click Questions under Monitor in the sidebar, then click the Analytics tab.
Choose a period
In the top-right corner, pick 7D, 30D, 90D, or All. The whole page updates to that window, and your choice is remembered the next time you open this tab.
Read the KPI cards
Four cards summarize the period:
- Questions, the total received, with a comparison against the previous equal period (hidden when the period is All).
- Approved, the count and the share of all questions that reached approved, featured, or on-air status.
- On air, the count of questions actually used in an episode, and how many episodes they appeared across.
- Average relevance, the mean of Mato's relevance score across every scored question in the period.
Read the outcomes breakdown
The Where questions end up chart shows every question in the period sorted into one of four outcomes: On air, Approved, waiting, To review, and Rejected. This is the fastest way to see whether questions are piling up somewhere in the pipeline instead of moving through it.
Read the questions-over-time chart
The Questions per day chart plots questions per day (or per week, for longer periods) across the window, with the busiest day or week called out.
Read the channels and topics breakdowns
Two more cards, Where they come from and What they ask about, break the period down by channel (web form, text, voicemail, WhatsApp) and by the topics Mato tagged, each shown as a ranked share of the total.
Export the data
Click Export CSV to download every question in the selected period as a spreadsheet, including its channel, text, status, priority, topic tags, relevance and clarity scores, and any AI response sent. Use this if you want to analyze your Q&A activity outside Mato or archive it for your own records.
What to do next
- If questions are stacking up in "To review," head to Triage questions to work through them.
- If a channel is underused, revisit Set up Listener Q&A to make sure it is turned on and shared with your audience.
