Send us Fan Mail This episode is a full wedding-day recap from a wedding I associate shot in Spring Lake, New Jersey, and it’s one of those days that escalated quickly. Ten days before the wedding, the planner let me know the bride was thinking about cutting back coverage. The day of the wedding, the Rolls Royce they planned to use caught on fire. Yes, actually on fire. And at the ceremony, the bride was almost sent down the aisle before the groom! Despite all of that, the bride was lovely, had an amazing time, and the day came together beautifully at Spring Lake Golf Club. The sailcloth tent was stunning, the weather was perfect, and we wrapped all formal photos in 32 minutes flat. This weekend it poured on Friday and Saturday, and our wedding was on Sunday. It was a beautiful day. I shot their rehearsal/welcome dinner the night before and got to know them a little bit, which definitely makes it nice on the wedding day because not only had I met the Bride and Groom, I had met their closest friends and family. Our biggest challenge is a very dark dance floor and the groom doesn't want to get dressed until the last minute. The Bride keeps saying, "we've both been married before, this is just a second wedding", and then put on one of the most beautiful weddings I've been to.
