Build the First Three Episodes Before Committing to a Show

Mato added free planning tools for a three-episode pilot and a stronger interview-question guide. Guest sourcing and article production also moved closer to a complete review workflow.

You can now test a podcast idea before committing to a season. Two ungated tools turn a rough premise into a three-episode plan and a twelve-question interview guide, while the Guest Hub helps find people who can carry the conversation.

New features

Free three-episode pilot builder

Choose the people you can reach, the job the show needs to do, and a cadence the team can sustain. The builder returns three episode angles with opening questions, follow-ups, takeaways, and a practical operating plan. It does not ask for an email address.

Podcast interview question generator

The question generator builds a twelve-question guide around the guest, the purpose of the conversation, and the point the episode needs to establish. Questions are grouped by the job they perform instead of arriving as one flat list.

Creator Guest Hub

The Guest Hub brings directory candidates and Topic Intelligence recommendations into the creator workspace. Each suggestion includes evidence and match strength, with shortlist and review actions before anyone receives an invitation.

Inbound guest submissions

Shows can accept pitches through a public guest form. Mato reviews the submission, notifies the owner, and places qualified requests in a review inbox rather than creating an interview automatically.

Batch voice generation

Voice Lab can produce nine candidates in one run and rank them for review. The ranking narrows the listening work, but the final voice still requires an operator decision.

Improvements

The multi-angle article writer now has stronger evidence and media-rights checks. ElevenLabs sessions also stay within the provider's supported duration range and request a fresh connection URL when recovery is needed.

Bug fixes

Failed article actions now show the actual rejection instead of disappearing behind a successful-looking interface response.
