This week connected the decisions that happen before production. The new Free Tools hub brings readiness, cost, ROI, episode planning, webinar planning, and interview questions into one public starting point. Guest and talent discovery also picked up more context, while the public site adopted Mato's new visual system.
New features
Free Tools hub
The new hub groups Mato's ungated planning tools by the decision they help with. A team can score pilot readiness, model production cost and ROI, map the first three episodes, turn an event into a plan, or prepare an interview without starting a workspace first.
Podcast production cost calculator
Enter episode volume, internal time, hourly cost, external production spend, and fixed software costs. The calculator returns monthly, annual, and per-episode figures, then connects the result to the pilot-planning path.
Guest Hub V2
Guest recommendations now combine more source types and explain match strength relative to the available candidate pool. Trend entities and cross-account or network sources give producers more context before they shortlist someone.
Reviewed talent portraits and motion previews
The talent workflow can create production portraits with GPT Image 2 and short motion previews for selected talent. Motion stays off by default and private until a person reviews and approves it.
V3 public design
The marketing site moved to the new V3 design system, with a warm ivory canvas, editorial typography, restrained coral accents, and clearer decision paths into demos and free tools.
Improvements
The blueprint script card now explains generation in creator language, with the detailed diagnostics available when someone needs them instead of leading with pipeline terminology.
Bug fixes
The public talent pages and a podcast call-to-action worker were crashing because a database method lost its connection context. Those calls now keep the Supabase client binding, restoring the talent directory and the background delivery path.
