We're getting into Lanterns 1x06, "Bad Optics"! It's 2026, and Hal Jordan isn't the man he used to be. In fact, no one seems to be who we thought they were. Except Guy. Guy is exactly what we expected. Come wallow in theories and good-time conversation with your buddies Dave and Jason! We're so interested to know where this all is going, and we're not ashamed to say we can't remember every freaking bit of Lantern lore! You can listen to us google! 🎙️ Hosts David C. Holy crap! That's one of the best season finales I've ever seen! Crazy that there are 3 episodes left! We're back to discuss Lanterns 1x05, “Lights Out”! The truth about Zoe finally comes crashing into the open as Antaan makes his move! Rushville descends into chaos! Hal and John find themselves on opposite sides of an increasingly ugly situation. We discuss the episode’s reveals, the Hal vs. John showdown, Kerry Kane’s past, Antaan’s vendetta, John’s shocking decision, and what it all means for the Lanterns moving forward. 🎙️ Hosts David C. We're jumping on "The Weenie" like Zoe jumped on the weenie! That's right, we're getting into Lanterns 1x04, "The Weenie"! The mystery is finally starting to crack open on HBO’s Lanterns! What the hell is Sinestro really trying to do to Hal? Why are the Guardians trying to get John to replace him? Okay, that part is obvious, but do they gotta be such jerks about it? Did we seriously just get Mandarin-ed by way of Hector Hammond? Why is William Macon exerting power completely naked? Talk about a weenie... How many vehicles is Hal Jordan going to destroy this season? And after all this hunting for the Manhunter… did we just find it? Plus, John and Hal are finally starting to work like an actual team—oh, whoops. Nevermind. 🎙️ Hosts David C. We're jumping into John Stewart's past as we review Lanterns 1x03, “Outkast”! Was John Stewart programmed or raised? Did his parents train him to become a Green Lantern, or did they groom him for it? And how much damage did they do trying to make their son fearless? Also, is it a weakness that Hal Jordan is to blame for almost everything in John's life going wrong, or is it intentional on the part of the writers? There's so much to discuss! 🎙️ Hosts David C. We're haggard and recovering from illness, but we're still talking HBO’s Lanterns ! We discuss episode 1x02, “Trust Fall”! Why is John able to keep that bird construct alive while unconscious? Is Antaan Atrocitus, or he a, ahem, r ed herring? Is William Macon Green Arrow, or he working for him? Wait, where are all the patients in this hospital? There's so much to discuss! 🎙️ Hosts David C. We're back and ready to dive into the series premiere of HBO’s Lanterns ! We discuss episode 1x01, “Pilot,” from Hal and John’s uneasy partnership, the show’s grounded True Detective -inspired approach, the Green Lantern mythology changes of James Gunn’s DCU, our favorite moments, and what didn’t work for us, to that massive ending that changes everything (or did it? Theories abound, friends)! Is Lanterns the Green Lantern adaptation we’ve been waiting for? Sound off at dconscreen@gmail.com, and we'll talk about it next week!
