Well, Liza did it. She set a world record with Wendy Crockett. And to celebrate, they ended at AMA Vintage Days for a nice weekend of relaxation and fun with friends. They went on the stage to receive their certification and to share stories from their trip. Dame Rose joins them to share her experience on long distance riding, and her first time at VMD. The Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials will be Aug 23rd to 27th this year, and we will be there. Back in 2019 we had the opportunity to interview Erin Sills about her experience setting records on the salt. She has set 45 land speed records, has multiple Guinness World Records, and her BMW S1000RR is currently on display in the Smithsonian. She brought along her Hunter Sill Racing teammate Trev Richter, who is also chasing records on the salt, and they both have some amazing stories to share. We’ve paired this interview with another from 2019, this time with Stacie B. London of Triple Nickle Racing. Stacie has also set a record, but not quite as fast as Erin. She races on a 1967 Harley Davidson Aermacchi, which is why Bonneville is so great. You can take any bike from any era, and if you can make it go faster than the last person in the same category, you can set a record too. Enjoy these two interviews from the past, and come join us on the salt this August. www.motorcyclesandmisfits.com motorcyclesandmisfits@gmail.com www.patreon.com/motorcyclesandmisfits www.zazzle.com/store/recyclegarage www.youtube.com/channel/UC3wKZSP0J9FBGB79169ciew womenridersworldrelay.com/ motorcyclesandmisfits.com/shop Join our Discord at discord.gg/hpRZcucHCT

Dipping into the archives for another one of our favorites, and this is a big one. Back in 2018 we got to sit down with the legendary Wayne Rainey. Wayne is a legend in motorcycling (no really, the AMA awarded him that title) with 3 world championships under his belt. He also happens to be the president of the MotoAmerica racing series, despite the fact that he had a career ending crash in 93 that left him in a wheelchair. But that hasn't slowed him down. His post crash life included racing karts and owning his own race team. We dive into the current state of American racing, as well as getting to know a bit about his history, as well as what it takes to get a curve at Laguna Seca named after oneself. Time for another new episode! This one is coming all the way from the Touratech Rally in Plain, Washington, where Liza and Wendy spent the weekend running into old friends and gathering new interviews. They talked to: -Long Haul Paul, who was the first ever guest on the M&M podcast. -Lisa from Mischief Off Road, who has some pretty neat products for sale. -Kimo from Cruz Tools, who make smart little tool sets for your bike. -John from Moto Morini, who talks about the Vettore 450 and the differences between it's sibling at CF Moto. -Jason, who just completed his first ever certified Iron Butt ride. We are going back into the archives to replay some of our favorite episodes, and this one is special. Craig Vetter was the first AMA Hall of Famer to join us in the garage for a live interview. You may know him for his Windjammer fairing, but lately he has been busy designing fuel efficient streamliners, and hosting the Vetter Fuel Economy Challenge. Last years winner, Alan Smith, reached 180 miles per gallon with his Ninja 250. Our friend Electric Terry is also here to talk about his Vetter streamlined Zero S that runs at a cost of 1.3 cents per mile. Craig Vetter has got things figured out, and is making great strides to make the world a better place. Listen and enjoy. Liza is back from the TT and has stories to tell. From leading the Legacy Lap on a 1953 Norton Meteor, being an extra in the Channing Tatum film about the TT, and the Tour of Awesome Women in Wales and England to name a few. Time to dip into the archives for another favorite past episode. Yuri Barrigan made his mark on the racing world when he set off to the Isle of Man Manx race with his two 400cc supermotos. Known as the most dangerous motorcycle race in the world, you need balls of steel to even attempt it. And to do it on a supermoto? Titanium. And thanks to Yuri, supermotos are now banned at the Isle of Man. Yuri joined us back in 2015 to share his story of what it takes to race at the Isle of Man, and what it will take to go back again. www.motorcyclesandmisfits.com motorcyclesandmisfits@gmail.com www.patreon.com/motorcyclesandmisfits www.zazzle.com/store/recyclegarage www.youtube.com/channel/UC3wKZSP0J9FBGB79169ciew https://womenridersworldrelay.com/ motorcyclesandmisfits.com/shop

Back in 2017 we interviewed Carolynn Sells, and it’s still one of our favorite interviews today. And now in 2026 Liza is checking off a bucket list item, and will be riding alongside Carolynn and all of the other woman riders on the mountain course as they lead the Legacy Lap at the Isle of Man TT this summer. Carolynn Sells is the only woman to win a solo race on the Isle of Man TT Mountain Course, an achievement that earned her a Guinness World Record. In 2009 she won the Ultralightweight Manx Grand Prix, and has been a fixture on the Isle of Man race scene ever since. You might find her behind the microphone interviewing racers now, but Carolynn’s history with racing goes way back. Growing up on the Isle, her dad began racing in the Manx Grand Prix when she was 12 years old and she was determined to get her own racing license. Enjoy this remastered retro interview with Carolynn Sells. Craig and Chris from Pacific Motorcycle Training join us to see if the Misfits know their stuff. We are put through a knowledge test on advanced riding techniques, thus proving the point that any riders, no matter the experience, can benefit from further riding classes. Scottie brings up the subject of e-bikes and training that's becoming available, which brings us to the question; should we add tiered licensing, and if so, what would the tiers be? In this rousing episode, we start with a segment called Fight Me! The Misfits take turns making declarative statements, and then challenge everyone to fight them if they disagree. There's a good chance you may be arguing back at your listening device, so send us your comments in an email. Next up we review a bunch of items Liza bought on Ali Express. Not all of them are great, but some are pretty good and may get your attention. The interesting takeaway from this segment is that you don't always find the best deal on AliExpress, and that you may be buying the same item from someone else for a much higher price. Lastly, we read listener emails and answer some questions. The One Motorcycle Show is the best show in the world. There, I said it. And I truly believe that, which is why you will find me there every year, absorbing the vibe and conducting interviews. This year I roped stunt Misfit Wendy Crockett into joining me for her first time. She shares her observations while helping with interviews, but also managed to become part of the story herself. We had a great time, met so many people, were greeted by so many listeners, saw so many things, and came through waiting for the announcement for next year's event. Thanks to Doug and Jason for tagging along and helping us find the stories. #Onemotoshow www.motorcyclesandmisfits.com motorcyclesandmisfits@gmail.com www.patreon.com/motorcyclesandmisfits www.zazzle.com/store/recyclegarage www.youtube.com/channel/UC3wKZSP0J9FBGB79169ciew womenridersworldrelay.com/ motorcyclesandmisfits.com/shop Join our Discord at discord.gg/hpRZcucHCT

We are back from the Misfits Rally and have stories to tell. We had an amazing time, and want to thank everyone who attended and made it so much fun. Motorcycle industry veteran Michael Uhlarik joins us to talk about current state of the dealerships and manufacturers. A lot of changes have happened in the past couple decades, making it harder and harder to make a profit selling motorcycles. We learn that the USA is only 1% of the global market share, and with some of the highest standards, make it hard for manufacturers to bring their bikes here. And the dealerships are struggling with rising rents and insurance costs, making it even harder to make a profit. So what's the answer? What does the motorcycle dealership industry look like in the future? What is going to save it? Let us know what you think. The Misfits Rally is in the bag, and oh what a fun time we had. There were street rides, ADV rides, dirtbiking, a food tour, games and more. But the best part about the rally is all of the people who attended. There were long nights in front of the fire pit, with drinks and stories being shared. Thanks to everyone who attended for making it the best rally to date. We were also fortunate to have Rob Day from ADV Moto Pros there offering private instruction. We sat down with Rob in front of an audience and talked to him about riding technique, the pros and cons of different off road bikes, and how much fun he had at the rally. The next day Emma entertained the crowd with a recording of Ask Miss Emma live. They asked her any technical questions they had, and Emma gave thorough answers. Thanks to Breaking Away Adventures, ADV Moto Pros and all of the Misfits who attended. Is the Suzuki Gladius a good bike? Yes. Then why did it fail so big? It was the next version of an already popular bike, the SV650. Known for being great performance at a great price, the SV650 became a hit on the road and on the track. So where did Suzuki go wrong? They marketed it to women. This backfired in 2 ways. Men labeled it a 'girls' bike, and women were insulted that they substituted aesthetics over performance. Suzuki learned their lesson, and the follow up to the Gladius was the gen 3 SV650. We go into detail about what went wrong and also talk about why the SV650 was so great (and still is). Welcome to another rousing episode, where you get to learn all about things you didn't think you needed to know. Liza is back from her trip picking up her new bike which is not a Tracer, or is it? Hmmmm. Either way, it's a sweet triple that purrs like a kitten. This brings up some questions, like why is the gas gauge designed for maximum anxiety? And why aren't there more sweet triples on the road? In fact, this whole episode is basically Emma answering questions about all sorts of things, and continuing to wow us with her knowledge. Some call it a girl bike, some call it a beginner bike, and some call it a tacky Harley wannabe. But the Honda Rebel has withstood the test of time, with many of the original 250's still rolling in motorcycle schools around the world. The Rebel has given access to riding to countless people, and with the modern versions, even more will get their start on a Honda. The Rebel has earned it's stripes and has become an icon in the motorcycle world, and with it's largest model the Rebel 1100, will continue to be a part of the Honda family for a long time.
