In the first episode of Ordinary Lives: A Different Discussion About Disability , James Filleul speaks with Stuart Penn, who was born missing part of his left arm and both lower limbs. This isn't a conversation about limitations. It's a powerful discussion about resilience, mindset and finding a way forward through life's challenges. Stuart also shares his perspective on one of the biggest barriers to inclusion: our fear of saying the wrong thing. His advice is simple. Approach people with curiosity, respect and a willingness to have a genuine conversation. As Stuart points out, children often get it right, asking honest questions, hearing honest answers and moving on. It's usually adults who feel uncomfortable. Listen to hear Stuart's refreshing perspective on disability, independence and seeing the person before the disability.
