It’s the kind of detail that lingers: a meeting, just after midnight… that no one can explain. In May 1997, 20-year-old Keith Mann was building a future—new apartment, new job, new fiancée. But sometime after being dropped off at home late that night, Keith stepped back out into the dark to meet someone. By morning, he was gone. The only thing left behind was a borrowed car from the dealership he’d been working at. Found abandoned in a church parking lot right next to his parent’s home. Decades later, that midnight meeting is still a mystery. No one has ever come forward. If you remember Keith or anything about his life in Wichita Falls in 1997, his family is still searching for answers. You can share information or memories through the Missing Mann Project website or connect with them on the Missing Mann Project Facebook page , where they continue to keep Keith’s story alive – and hope that one day, the person he went to meet will finally be known. Twenty-seven-year-old Natalie Jones vanished after a July 4th lake party in Alabama in 2020. Ninety-three days later, her car and her remains were found in a rural Georgia field. No arrest. No clear answer. No closure for the family left behind. The official theory was an accidental overdose. But a negative toxicology report, a drug baggie with no fingerprints, and a phone that never left Natalie's hand — one that’s still missing — tell a different story. Shortly before her death, Natalie had begun speaking out about the men in her life: a bitter ex-husband, an alleged childhood abuser, a lover tied to drug trafficking. Host Sean Kipe investigates what happened to Natalie Jones. Was it an overdose? An accident? Or something the people closest to her have been protecting for years? When 37-year-old Christine Banfield and 39-year-old Joseph Ryan were found fatally injured inside a Virginia home in 2023, investigators were initially told that Ryan was a violent intruder and that Christine’s husband, Brendan Banfield, a federal agent, had tried to save her. But as investigators examined digital evidence, they uncovered a different possibility: that Ryan had been lured to the home through a fake online persona and that the scene had been staged to conceal a double homicide. What happened in the 15 minutes between two 911 calls? And what does the evidence reveal about the story investigators were first told? Alberta O. Jones was breaking barriers in Louisville, Kentucky. She was the first Black woman prosecutor in the city’s history, she helped register some 6,000 Black citizens to vote, and she was a leader in the city’s civil rights movement. But on Aug. 5, 1965 – before she could make even more changes in the highly segregated city – Alberta was found dead floating in the Ohio River. The night before, she reluctantly went out late to visit a close friend, setting off a 60-year mystery that has led to more questions than answers. Was Alberta killed in a random robbery? Was she set up by her best friend? Or was she targeted for her dangerous civil rights work? If you have any information about the death of Alberta O. Jones, you can contact the Louisville Metro Police Department’s Cold Case Squad at 502-574-7055, or you can email us directly at tips@audiochuck.com.
