Rick explains how gardeners can take advantage of North Texas’ two growing seasons, including which summer crops can continue producing and which cool-season vegetables—such as greens, carrots and beets—are best planted for fall. He also shares practical advice on timing, seed selection, watering, shade protection and improving the region’s challenging clay soil.
