What if you didn’t have to become better, do more, or change something about yourself before you were worthy of love? In this episode of Prayer on the Air , Angela explores what happens when we begin to question the parts of ourselves we’ve deemed unlovable. The things we hide. The places we judge. The body we may struggle to accept. The persistent voice that says, I should be doing better. What if love asks something different of us? Not infatuation or pretending everything is perfect, but the willingness to meet ourselves truthfully and with compassion. Angela invites us to consider that transformation may begin not by rejecting what is, but by bringing love to the very places we’ve withheld it. This week’s prayers invite us to practice this together: Slowing down and listening to the body with deeper attention, kindness, and self-care Releasing the relentless belief that we should be doing more or doing better Allowing ourselves to be enough exactly where we ar Meeting ourselves with unconditional love, acceptance, and compassion As Angela reminds us, “What is love but attention?” Perhaps loving ourselves begins there: becoming present to ourselves, listening more deeply, and allowing what is here now to be worthy of our care. —----- About The Angela Montano Hour: Prayer on the Air Prayer on the Air is a global prayer community reaching people in more than 75 countries. What would change if you loosened your grip on who you think you are? In this episode of The Angela Montano Hour: Prayer on the Air , Angela explores what becomes possible when we stop living so tightly inside our own point of view. When we are caught in the push and pull of the thought field, trying to figure out what should happen next, there is very little available besides more push, more pull. But as Angela reminds us, “thoughts are no problem if we let thoughts think.” When our grip loosens, even slightly, we become available to something steadier underneath: the Love that is immovable. Love is never dormant. Divine loving attention is always present. It only needs our attention. Angela explores contemplation as an activation of curiosity for a spiritual aim, opening us to insight beyond our current purview. And she asks a beautiful question: How lightly can I hold myself? She also offers a powerful distinction between reciprocity and receivership: moving from the expectation that what we give should come back to us in a particular way, toward trusting what is ours by right of consciousness and becoming willing to receive our good in ways we may not have anticipated. This week’s prayer requests bring these teachings into two very human experiences: When your work isn’t bringing the results you hoped for: Angela explores receivership, breadth versus depth, trusting guidance, and the willingness to listen for what is truly ours to do. Processing grief, anger, and loss: Angela explores how blame can keep anger from circulating and releasing, and how we can allow anger to move without allowing anger to have us. The invitation throughout is to hold ourselves a little more lightly, listen beyond the thought field, and become available to the Love that is already here. When we can’t think our way through it, perhaps there is something deeper to listen for. —----- About The Angela Montano Hour: Prayer on the Air Prayer on the Air is a global prayer community reaching people in more than 75 countries. What if we don’t need to know the whole way forward? In this episode of Prayer on the Air , Angela explores the simplicity of divine guidance and what becomes possible when we loosen our grip on the past, the future, and the mind’s need to reach a conclusion. “Faith is the withholding of a conclusion,” spiritual teacher Adyashanti says. And when we withhold our conclusions, something else becomes available: the loving intelligence of the universe has an available portal through us. Sometimes the guidance that arises is remarkably simple. Go brush your teeth. Go back to bed. Wash the dishes. Do the next thing that occurs to a clear mind in the now. The ego may insist that divine guidance needs a bigger “wow factor.” But Angela invites us to consider that the simple instructions of divine loving intelligence always serve the greater joy, peace, and love of us. Even the simplest experience can hold holiness. This week’s prayer request beautifully brings the teaching to life. A mother asks for prayer around a stressful dynamic with her adult son, wondering what she needs to let go of or shift and how they might find greater harmony. Together, we pray beyond the urge to force a solution. What if neither person is the gatekeeper of the other’s peace or freedom? What if there is nothing to force? As Angela reminds us, peace is ours by right of consciousness. Freedom is ours by right of consciousness. From there, the next step can arise naturally: a wholehearted yes, a wholehearted no, a moment of listening, or simply the next thing that is ours to do. Prayer is solution energy. And when we become less invested in forcing an outcome, we create the spaciousness to let miracles unfold. Perhaps we don’t need the entire answer. Perhaps the next step is enough. —----- About The Angela Montano Hour: Prayer on the Air Prayer on the Air is a global prayer community reaching people in more than 75 countries. What happens when we stop trying to run the show? In this episode of Prayer on the Air , Angela invites us into a contemplation of trust, allowing, and letting. Our minds are quick to decide: I know. I know what this means. I know what’s going to happen. I know how this should be. But what becomes possible when we loosen our grip on those assumptions and become more available to the loving intelligence of life itself? Angela explores living with “floating question marks” in our consciousness, moving from the ‘I know’ mind into curiosity, receptivity, and mystery. Because again and again, when fear, doubt, and worry loosen their hold, a stunning revelation appears: life works on its own. This week’s prayer requests invite us to practice this together: Finding peace when facing conflict, uncertainty, or the need to prove ourselves Remembering that our worth and value are not determined by recognition or external circumstances Letting go of our assumptions about how things should unfold and becoming more available to what is We don’t have the human capacity to zoom out enough to see how all things work together. But perhaps we don’t need to. Perhaps we can trust the allowing. The letting. And let the mystery do us. —----- About The Angela Montano Hour: Prayer on the Air Prayer on the Air is a global prayer community reaching people in more than 75 countries. You are held within incorruptible Love We all want to feel safe — physically, emotionally, financially. So we search for it: in people, in income, in circumstances we hope will hold us steady. But then life happens — a job loss, a mental or physical health crisis, a relationship ends — and we feel so very scared. And in today's world, with news streaming 24/7, many of us feel less and less safe. This episode invites us to go deeper. Is it possible to trade the endless search for safety — through people, conditions, and things — for something far more sustainable? What would it be like to realize the consciousness of safety is already what we are? To know that we are safety is to experience being wrapped in trustworthy, incorruptible Love. In this realization, safety is not something to get, but something to come home to — already happening here and now. Through intimate conversations with live listeners, Angela offers spiritual guidance and radically authentic prayer. Terri Jo shares feelings of abandonment linked to losing her mother as a baby. Eileen navigates an upcoming visit with a friend. Jennifer shares how exhausting it is to judge herself and others. Angela explores the hidden connection between judgment and unworthiness, asking a question worth sitting with: Are you ranking, or are you connecting? May these prayers move you from thought into Presence, from fear into Openness, from judgment into Compassion. You are whole. You are safe. You are not missing anything. -------------------------- Join Angela LIVE every Monday for Prayer on the Air at 11:00 am PT / 2:00 pm ET. What if the thing creating the most suffering isn’t simply what’s happening—but our resistance to what’s happening? In this deeply tender episode of Prayer on the Air , Angela explores what becomes possible when we stop trying to make life conform to our expectations and begin meeting what is actually here. One of the invitations she returns to is simple and powerful: Don’t quit before the blessing is obtained. But what does that really mean? Perhaps it isn’t about holding tighter to the outcome we think we need. Perhaps it is about staying open -- continuing in prayer while releasing our ideas about what the blessing is supposed to look like. Through conversations about grief, loss, fear, uncertainty, disappointment and change, Angela invites us into a different kind of prayer -- one rooted not in fixing life, but in loving it. She explores the freedom that can come through accepting life’s impermanence and unpredictability, and the possibility that grief can transform us rather than simply being something we need to “get over.” And underneath it all is a profound question: What if nothing is wrong? You don’t have to figure everything out right now. Don’t quit. Stay open. Stay in the loving. ---------- Join Angela LIVE every Monday for Prayer on the Air at 11:00 am PT / 2:00 pm ET. Prayer is a language we're always just beginning to fathom. That simple but profound reflection opens this week's episode and sets the stage for an exploration of what it means to dwell in possibility rather than survival. In this episode, Angela invites us to loosen our grip on fear, stop strategizing from survival, and become more receptive to the love that is always here. As we do, old stories begin to lose their hold, fear softens, and new possibilities emerge. As Angela reminds us, Prayer on the Air is more than a podcast. It is a global prayer without ceasing community. Someone is always tuned into this podcast from somewhere in the world, holding the light of love for you and me. Because we all drift. Into fear. Into self-doubt. Into toxic shame. Into unhealthy guilt. As Anne Lamott writes, " My mind is like a bad neighborhood. Better not enter in alone. " Prayer gently illuminates those dark places with love, helping us become, even if only by "one one-trillionth," a little less afraid. In this episode, Angela explores: Why you don't have to be "good" at prayer What it means to be husbanded by the universe Moving from survival into creativity, kindness, and service Following the golden breadcrumbs instead of forcing outcomes Living with both receptivity and intentional action Why prayer is a distribution system for love This week's prayers include opening to loving relationship without grasping, discovering new forms of comfort after releasing old coping patterns, and surrendering into a deeper trust. Come exactly as you are. Someone, somewhere, is holding the light of love with you. —----- Join Angela LIVE every Monday for Prayer on the Air at 11:00 am PT / 2:00 pm ET. There is a word that comes up often in prayer that most of us find complicated: Surrender. For many of us it sounds like defeat, like giving up, like one more thing we have to do after already doing everything we could think of. But in this episode of The Angela Montano Hour: Prayer on the Air , Angela offers a different way of seeing it. Surrender, she suggests, is not resignation. It is the willingness to let the architecture of suffering dissolve, to release the conviction that our peace must wait until circumstances finally go the way we need them to go. And once we have surrendered into that mystery, something else becomes possible: asking. Not asking from lack or shame or the desperate hope that getting what we want will finally make us feel worthy. Asking from wholeness. From esteem. From the quiet audacity of believing that even me, even I, deserve more. This in-breath and out-breath of prayer, surrender and opening, is the heart of this week's conversation. Through deeply moving prayer requests, Angela shows us how the practice of surrender and opening can meet us exactly where we are, even in the places that feel most intractable. Sandra is navigating an extraordinary opportunity with her son, recognizing that true peace does not depend on another. What freedom there is in letting go of that need for another to be whom we 'think' we need them to be, and what a gift it is to take that pressure off of both mother and son. Kate's beloved horse Bonfire has withdrawn after a difficult training session, and together they discover that love is present even in the distance, even in the space that doesn't yet look the way Kate feels she needs it to be. Through prayer, we open to the deeper perfection unfolding. Chris brings something so many of us are carrying right now, the weight of watching cruelty unfold in the world, from war to trafficking, and the anguished question of where God is in any of it. Her response to Chris carries the heart of the whole episode: “Love can never be absent, but Love needs a witness.” Prayer, she reminds us, is how we become that witness. It is how we send love into the places where it appears most dormant, trusting that something is happening even when we cannot see it. In this episode: Releasing the dualistic mindset that keeps peace just out of reach Asking from a place of wholeness, not lack Allowing the architecture of suffering to dissolve The Krishnamurti teaching on peace that changes everything How love is present even in distance, even in silence Becoming a witness to love in the places where it appears most dormant About Prayer on the Air Prayer on the Air is a live weekly gathering where people from more than 75 countries come together to pray, reflect, and remember the presence of love at the center of all things. In this heartfelt episode of The Angela Montano Hour: Prayer on the Air , Angela explores what it means to live as a modern-day mystic in the midst of ordinary life. While monasteries offer a stable environment for practicing the presence of God, most of us navigate work, relationships, uncertainty, and a world that often feels anything but steady. The invitation, Angela reminds us, is not to escape life, but to meet it with a deeper awareness of peace, love, and the divine presence that is always available. Through powerful prayer requests from members of the community, this conversation touches on releasing the trance of scarcity, trusting the long and winding road of love, reclaiming what is ours instead of believing it has been taken from us, and discovering how an open heart and healthy boundaries can exist together. Along the way, Angela returns to a simple yet profound reminder from A Course in Miracles : "I let peace be my only goal today." Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, navigating conflict, or simply longing to return to your center, this episode offers a gentle invitation to practice the presence, release stressful thinking, and remember that more is going on than meets the eye. Prayer, Angela reminds us, is the way we walk ourselves home to the love that is. In this episode: What it means to live as a modern-day mystic Practicing the presence of God in everyday life Releasing the trance of scarcity and trusting divine abundance Reclaiming what is yours without living in judgment Holding both an open heart and healthy boundaries Using stress as a cue to return to prayer A Course in Miracles reminder: "I let peace be my only goal today." What if peace doesn't come from solving every problem, but from creating a little more space around them? In this episode of The Angela Montano Hour: Prayer on the Air , Angela explores how loving kindness toward ourselves becomes a doorway into greater spaciousness, presence, and freedom. Drawing from contemplative wisdom, Buddhist practice, and the heart of prayer, Angela reflects on the difference between self-love and self-acceptance, introduces the simple yet profound practice of the inner smile, and shares how releasing the constant habit of judging life as "good" or "bad" allows us to step off the ego's endless hamster wheel. Together, the community prays with two participants, one seeking deeper embodied presence and another discovering how an ordinary disagreement over the cost of moving a plant uncovered an old story of scarcity. Rather than seeing these moments as problems to fix, Angela invites us to recognize them as opportunities to awaken to the abundance, compassion, and goodness that have been present all along. In this episode you'll discover: Why loving kindness creates spaciousness in your being The gentle practice of the "inner smile" How acceptance differs from resignation A simple phrase that interrupts habitual judgment: "Good or bad, I don't know." How everyday triggers can become invitations to awakening rather than evidence that something is wrong If you've been carrying too many thoughts, too much striving, or too much self-judgment, this conversation offers a gentle invitation to soften, breathe, and discover the spaciousness that has been waiting beneath the story. ––– About Prayer on the Air The Angela Montano Hour: Prayer on the Air is a live weekly gathering where people from more than 75 countries come together to pray, reflect, and remember the presence of love at the center of all things. What happens when fear arises—and we don't add another thought? In this episode of The Angela Montano Hour: Prayer on the Air , Angela reflects on a recent experience with Eckhart Tolle and explores a form of prayer that requires no words at all. When we are disturbed, the mind quickly begins constructing a story. It adds meaning, prediction, judgment, and fear. But what if prayer is not about fixing the experience or escaping it? What if prayer is the willingness to remain present with it? Angela explores the distinction between what Eckhart Tolle calls the pain body and the deeper Presence beneath it, the inner body , or what some traditions call the subtle body. She shares how silent prayer can become an intensification of Presence —a direct encounter with the peace that exists before thought, beneath thought, and beyond thought. Together we explore fear, reactivity, the healing power of the pause, and the surprising freedom that becomes available when we stop resisting what we feel. Fear tells us something is missing. Love tells us we already have what we need. This conversation is an invitation to bring the light of awareness to whatever is arising and discover that peace may be much closer than the mind would have us believe. ––– Join Angela Montano, Mark Anthony Lord, and other teachers for a six-week online experience exploring prayer as a living, transformative practice beginning July 7, 2026. How do we honor what we're feeling without becoming identified with it? In this Prayer on the Air gathering, Angela explores how prayer creates space between ourselves and whatever we are experiencing. As she questions the familiar belief, "I alone must," she invites us to consider whether we are truly doing life by ourselves at all, or whether we are being guided, supported, and carried by the intelligence of the heart. Together, we explore what it means to live from the heart rather than the fears and demands of the mind. Through prayer and conversation, Angela reflects on ‘control’ versus obedience to inner wisdom, the healing power of compassion, and how our struggles begin to soften when we see them as experiences we are having rather than truths about who we are. Topics include: Honoring feelings without identifying with them Prayer as a practice of spaciousness and renewal The illusion of control and trusting inner guidance Compassion for ourselves and others Recognizing the "narcissist" in all of us without shame Living from love instead of fear When we pause, become still, and listen deeply, we discover that the heart already knows the way. ### Join Angela and other teachers in exploring prayer as a living, transformative practice through Project Prayer , a 6-week online experience led by her friend and fellow minister, Mark Anthony Lord. What if peace isn't found in changing your life, but in changing your relationship to this moment? So many of us move through life evaluating everything: I'm okay. I'm not okay. This is working. This isn't working. I'm ahead. I'm behind. Without even realizing it, we can spend enormous amounts of energy deciding whether life is going well or badly. In this episode of Prayer on the Air , we explore a simple but profound question: What if this moment didn't need fixing? Together, we'll look at what becomes possible when we stop judging every experience and begin meeting life with greater curiosity, compassion, and presence. In this episode, you'll discover: Why the constant habit of evaluating ourselves can be so exhausting The difference between your life and your judgment of your life How unhappiness changes when we stop resisting it The shift from "me-ness" to "here-ness" A simple practice for making peace with what is Rather than asking: "How do I fix this?" What if we asked: "What is here?" And what if we could meet whatever we find with awareness instead of judgment ? May this conversation support you in laying down the inner scorecard and discovering the peace that is always available.
In this deeply moving episode of The Angela Montano Hour: Prayer on the Air , we explore what it means to live without false certainty and to trust love beneath changing circumstances. Reflecting on motherhood, illness, financial fear, control, and the Buddhist concept of “groundlessness,” Angela invites listeners into a different kind of stability: not control, but presence. Through live prayer requests, this episode becomes a meditation on releasing the ego’s demand for predictability and learning to trust the next right thing. Together, we explore: The healing of separation and fear Why “life situation” and “life itself” are not the same The spiritual practice of agreeing with what is Motherhood, enmeshment, and letting go Trusting divine support during uncertainty Prayer as instinct, presence, and participation in love This episode includes prayers for: A mother learning to trust her adult son’s journey A veteran facing financial uncertainty and bureaucratic stress A woman navigating breast cancer, job loss, and surrender “Fearlessness is the order of the day.”
In this episode of The Angela Montano Hour: Prayer on the Air , we are invited to experience a powerful shift in how we relate to life: What if the unknown is not something to fear… but something friendly? So much of our tension comes from preconceived notions—ideas about how things should unfold, what should happen next, and how we need to “handle” it all. But what happens when we let those ideas soften? Through live prayer and reflection, this episode explores: Releasing preconceived notions and expectations Letting go of the identity of being the one who must “handle everything” Opening to a deeper trust in the intelligence of life Living in the balance of being relaxed and alert A simple but profound reframe emerges: What if you are not the one doing life… but life is doing you? Through real prayer requests, we also explore: Moving from overwhelm into receptivity Trusting support even in the midst of responsibility Experiencing love as something whole and complete—without needing to possess or act on it This episode is an invitation to soften your grip on how things should go… and discover a deeper sense of support, presence, and unconditional okayness already here .
In this episode of Prayer on the Air , Angela explores a question that quietly shapes so many of our relationships: Who’s right… and who’s wrong? Through a live prayer request around family tension, we look at how deeply our need to belong is tied to choosing sides—and how exhausting that can become. But what if there’s another way? As the conversation unfolds, a powerful shift emerges: What if everyone is innocent? Not as a way to dismiss pain, but as a way to see beyond conditioning, beyond blame, and into a deeper truth that allows for real healing. Along the way, a participant introduces the idea of a “prayer reservoir” —a reminder that you are already supported by the prayers you’ve spoken, the ones still unfolding, and even the ones others have spoken for you. In this episode, we explore: The freedom of not taking sides The connection between belonging and being “right” The idea of a prayer reservoir you can draw from at any time This is an invitation to step out of the cycle of blame… and into a deeper experience of peace, connection, and trust. What if you don’t have to decide who’s right… to feel at peace?
In this episode of Prayer on the Air , Angela Montano introduces a simple yet profound spiritual practice — a mantra that gently guides us back to truth: “God is all there is. God is all there. God is all. God is. God.” By slowly releasing each word, we’re invited to move beyond the noise of the mind and into a deeper awareness of presence, trust, and surrender. From there, Angela shares a deeply human moment — a small interaction with a neighbor that turns into a powerful reflection on control, ego, and the need to be right. What seems insignificant becomes a doorway into something much bigger. ✨ “Who would you be without your story of struggle?” — Angela Montano Through prayer, conversation, and community, this episode explores the shift from struggle to ease — and what it means to trust a greater intelligence already at work in our lives. This episode is a reminder that: We don’t have to figure everything out We are not meant to carry everything alone Ease is always available, even when we can’t see it
In this episode of Prayer on the Air , Angela Montano returns to a simple yet powerful reminder: You don’t always have to be the one holding everything together. Sometimes… you are the one being held. Through reflection, prayer, and honest conversation, this episode explores what it means to let faith carry you — especially in moments of uncertainty, emotional overwhelm, or when life feels like too much. Together, we reflect on:– The pressure of trying to control everything– The exhaustion of always “figuring it out”– Letting go without giving up– Trusting what you cannot yet see– Allowing faith to hold you when you can’t hold yourself This is an invitation to soften your grip. To stop forcing clarity. And to remember that you are not alone in what you’re carrying. Maybe you don’t need to push harder. Maybe you just need to let the faith keep you.
In this episode of Prayer on the Air , Angela Montano explores the truth about love — and where it really begins. We often look for love in others, in relationships, or in external validation. But what if the way we experience love has less to do with others… and everything to do with how we relate to ourselves? Through reflection and live prayer, this episode is an invitation to: – See how your inner world shapes your relationships – Release patterns of control, fear, or overgiving – Shift from self-judgment to self-acceptance – Experience love as something that begins within This isn’t about fixing yourself. It’s about seeing yourself with more honesty, softness, and compassion. 🎵 Watch and take what resonates.
