Here are the notes I made from this chapter: Electric calendar x paper calendar on a Sunday night = organised heaven. To Do Table rather than a To Do List Quick Ticks | Tasks | Projects Batch these tasks together and time block them into your daily plan. Decide what to do before the working day starts using the Eisenhower Method. Urgent & Important - DO NOW! Not Urgent & Important - Schedule Not Important but Urgent - Delegate Neither - forget it! Productivity tips I think will help me: Take breaks Tidy workspace 2 minute rule - just do it now if appropriate Commit to a task, don't multitask Do the To Do Table the night before/before work starts Rituals are concious decisions to do something Habits are subconcious actions Combined they make our ROUTINE. I will commit to doing the following steps BEFORE I start my working day: I will put my to dos into the Eisenhower Method table to focus on what needs doing TODAY. Then changing my overwhelming to do list into a to do table so I can batch today's tasks. I will time block the tasks in my calendar. I will use the Pomodoro technique & keep my phone off my desk.
