Missouri is known as the "Show Me State," which is dumb. On the flip side of the coin, Dan is a guy from Missouri and he likes to be shown things, even if those things are sometimes pretty dumb. This podcast is a means for him to seek those places out, and meditate on how they relate to their human experience. Music by DJ Danarchy Cover art by Angela Lampsbury

Dan continues his voyage across the US by visiting a giant gnome in Iowa, an adventure where he is forced to face the fact that a lot of businesses seem to be closed on Mondays. Then, he calls in his dear friend Rinske to help give him a European perspective on the gnome, and discuss whether or not gnomes should kill off humanity.
Dan continues exploring the East Coast by hopping over to New Jersey, to live out a childhood fantasy of walking the Monopoly board in Atlantic City. After checking that off his bucket list, he sits down with Adrienne (aka Angela Lampsbury) to discuss the experience.
Dan continues his trek across the states by setting off to see The Odyssey in Ithaca, NY. Much like in the epic poem, things don't go quite according to plan, and he ends up having a conversation with his dad about what led him to study Greek back in college.
Dan's adventure continues as he goes to a theme park in Indiana to answer the question if you can feel the magic in a place that was part of your friend's glory days. Dan visits Indiana Beach, where his good friend Matt Riggs worked, and in the process confronts a fear that might not have been a fear.
Dan's travels take him back to his home-state of Missouri, where he ends up confused by crassness and sincerity of the Precious Moments Chapel. To make sense of it all, he sits down with author Robbie Parker for a chat about the chapel, the figurines, and whether or not it's all very weird.
Dan continues his voyage across the states by following a sign in a dream that called him to visit a small town in West Virginia. Along the way, he considers the meaning of dreams and what it is to follow a dream, calling in his former co-host Jordan Holmes to help him unpack the adventure.
Dan continues his exploration of America with a trip to Florida to investigate the alleged hometown of his favorite wrestler, and ends up launching into an exporation of community, mutual aid, and memories of Miami Bass.
Right in time for the US's 250th birthday, Dan embarks on a trip to see and explore some interesting and possibly dumb places around the country. On his maiden voyage, he sort of goes to Missouri, but ultimately ends up follows Angela Lampsbury's suggestion that he visit The Leaning Tower of Niles.
