In this episode, I brought on my therapist (LCSW) and holistic health practitioner, Chelsie Ciminelli to go deep on how the work we have done together has quite literally changed my life, helped me heal from POTS, and turned the volume wayyyy down on my anxiety. She shares somatic therapy techniques as well as the holistic health side of things and how she has brought them together to help people find the root cause of their health issues and help them heal. When I tell people CFNC (Carolina Functional Neurology Center) was integral to my POTS/dysautonomia healing journey, the first question is usually "well what did they do?" - in this episode, I do a deep dive on my sessions with them to give you a little picture into how we used different brain training modalities to retrain my autonomic nervous system. If you go, your protocol will look different than this, which is part of the beauty: they listen to you and tailor their tools to your experience. I have been a nutrition coach since 2020, and I started super conservative on food tracking, rarely recommending macros. Six years in, I am now recommending macros as the plan much more often, because the people coming to me are not on their first rodeo with fitness and nutrition, and results are all but guaranteed when people follow the right macros. I go much deeper in the episode! And I kick off the episode with a general health and life update (including a a recap of my first tarot card reading) :) Thanks for being here listening in! Hear from me in real-time as I go from living with POTS to no longer qualifying for the POTS dx but still living with dysautonomia, while I aim to get to recovery.
