ABOUT: GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 20) Lorelai helps Richard open his new office. Rory tries to salvage Jess's reputation after the accident. Lane discovers her new love. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR: GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 20) May 7, 2002 | The WB CAST & CREW OF: GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 20) Lauren Graham as Lorelai Gilmore Alexis Bledel as Rory Gilmore BRAN’S GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 20) SYNOPSIS Lorelai and Rory show up at the diner but Luke is nowhere to be found. They head to the Hungry Diner. The type of diner that Michel goes to. Lorelai heads to her parents' house and finds out that Richard started his own company - it's an insurance consulting firm. He comes out of his office mad that his assistant from the old firm turned down Richard's offer to join his company. He's not sure what to do. He's like maybe I should just shut it down. Lorelai is like whoa that seems premature. Just hire a new assistant. Lorelai agrees to help him get his office set up and find a new assistant. Dean gets home and Rory hands him a letter outlining exactly what happened. He's not thrilled but is relieved to hear that Jess left town and invites her in for dinner...not the reaction Rory was expecting. When she tells her mom, she's like he loves you, just be happy. She goes to Richard's office and it's a mess. She takes the first call and realizes that he needs pens, so off to the office store they go. Rory is hanging out with Lane and they see a new music store is opening up. Lane comes back when it's open and gravitates towards the drums, something her mom would NEVER approve of. Richard is getting pretty comfortable having Lorelai around as his assistant so when they start interviewing perfectly capable candidates, no one can live up to Lorelai. She's like I can't do this - I have a job. This hurts his feelings and he tells her to scram. Rory is getting annoyed that everyone in town blames the crash on Jess, giving her a pass. It's time for an office opening party for Richard. Lorelai shows up and she sees that he finally hired someone. They talk business and Lorelai seems proud of her dad. Emily sees the cast and freaks out. Lorelai blames Jess and Emily pulls Lorelai out into the hallway and they argue. Lorelai says she gets to hate Jess for the rest of her life. They agree to disagree. Lane convinces the music store owner to let her practice there a couple nights a week. Rory is walking around town and sees that Luke is back. She goes in to drink some coffee. They talk about Jess and she tells Luke that it wasn't his fault. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. ABOUT: GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 19) During a tutorial, Jess persuades Rory to take a drive and crashes her car, landing her in the hospital, and Lorelai rages at Luke for putting her daughter's life in danger. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR: GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 19) April 30, 2002 | The WB CAST & CREW OF: GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 19) Lauren Graham as Lorelai Gilmore Alexis Bledel as Rory Gilmore BRAN’S GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 19) SYNOPSIS Lorelai and Rory are at Doose’s, commenting on the new bagger. They go to check out, and Taylor invites them to the movie in the park. Lorelai wants to know what movie they’re picking, but he refuses to answer. It finally comes out that the movie is going to be The Yearling for the fourth straight time. Taylor is fed up with Lorelai complaining and says she can just pick the movie. They head home and begin talking through movie options, but they can’t decide! Meanwhile, Lane is in class taking a test when Jess sneaks in late while the teacher isn’t looking. He asks Lane for a pen—not to take the test, but to make notes in his book. Luke ends up getting a call to come to the principal’s office. Jess is a problem. He’s doing absolutely no work, he’s not nice to his teachers, and baseballs are going missing. The principal says he has to hire Rory a tutor. She needs serious help. Later, at Luke’s, Taylor comes in with a binder full of movie titles they can pick from. Apparently, these come from a company that gives Taylor a good deal. The movies are all really obscure. Luke goes to talk to Jess, and Jess makes it clear that he doesn’t care about school. So Luke goes to talk to Lorelai and brings her brownies. He asks to talk to Rory and asks if she’d be willing to tutor Jess. She agrees. Lorelai is not so sure about that. Kirk shows up at the diner and pitches Lorelai on showing her the short film he’s been working on. She is PUMPED to watch it! Rory goes to help Jess and asks Lorelai not to tell Dean if he calls. Lorelai is not thrilled with that, but Rory insists they’re just going to study. Jess wants to do everything BUT study. He says, "Let’s go get ice cream, and then I’ll study." So they take her car. On the way back, they talk about their dreams for their lives. Jess wants to work when he needs money and just do his own thing. Rory wants to go to Harvard and then become a journalist. Jess says, "We could go back to Luke’s... or we could turn right and drive around for a while." She says, "Turn right." Next thing you know, Rory calls Lorelai with bad news. They got in an accident. That’s right, folks. Jess crashed Rory’s car... THE CAR THAT DEAN BUILT HER! So Rory is at the hospital because she fractured her wrist. Lorelai goes to pick her up, but she’s going to be there for another hour for X-rays. So Lorelai goes to find Jess and yell at him, but she can’t find him. Instead, she ends up just yelling at Luke. It turns into a screaming match. It’s a whole thing. She’s crying and calls... Christopher. Luke finds Jess sitting on the bridge and sits down next to him. Lorelai comes home and sleeps in Rory’s room. When she wakes up, she finds Chris sitting next to her. He says he’s going to stay through tomorrow to make sure Rory is okay. She asks if Sherry knows, and he just says, "Rory comes first." So methinks she might not know. The next day, they all go to the movie. We see Kirk’s short, and it’s perfect. They overhear Patty and Babette talking. Apparently, Luke took Jess to a bus station and sent him home. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. ABOUT: GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 15) A suspicious Lorelai catches Jess in Rory's room and accuses him of stealing a bracelet and Luke impulsively decides to buy the building where he lives. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR: GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 15) February 26, 2002 | The WB CAST & CREW OF: GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 15) Lauren Graham as Lorelai Gilmore Alexis Bledel as Rory Gilmore BRAN’S GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 15) SYNOPSIS Lorelai was cleaning her gutters when she hurt her hand. She slapped a Band-Aid on it and refuses to go to the doctor. They get to Luke’s, but Luke is nowhere to be found. To make matters worse, Caesar is cooking. So Lorelai heads upstairs to check on Luke and encourage him to come down and make them pancakes. The place is a mess because Jess’s mom finally sent the rest of his stuff, and now Luke can’t find his supply ledger. Lorelai finds it and holds it hostage until he comes downstairs to make the pancakes. That night, Lorelai and Rory are walking to get supplies for movie night. They pass Luke’s and see him sitting there alone, sadly drinking a beer and watching TV on his tiny television. He just needs some space from Jess. Lorelai encourages him to get a bigger apartment, but Luke isn’t having it. Instead, he asks if Jess could clean Lorelai’s gutters for her. Lorelai doesn’t say yes right away, but on the walk home Rory says, "I thought you were going to give Jess a chance. You should hire him." After a little more guilt-tripping, Lorelai finally agrees. Then she asks Rory why it’s so important that she like Jess. Rory comes up with an excuse, but Lorelai is wise to her. Luke heads upstairs and freaks out on Jess over the mess. He shouts, "WE’RE MOVING TOMORROW!" After looking at apartments, Jess goes to Rory’s to get started on the gutters. Cool-guy Jess flips her a book when she opens the door and comments that her hair is different. Lorelai tries to make small talk with him, but he’s not having it. When he goes outside, Rory follows him and asks him to try to get along with her mom. He’s like, "Why?" She says, "If you care about me at all, you’ll try." He replies, "Who says I care about you?" Classic Jess. Rory leaves to hang out with Dean at a book fundraiser. Dean is bored out of his mind. He says he wants to go see The Lord of the Rings again, which annoys Rory. Then he notices she isn’t wearing the bracelet he gave her. She lies and says she took it off because of a rash and will put it back on later. In reality, she lost it... and Jess is holding it hostage. Lorelai invites Jess downstairs for lunch. At first he says no, but then he remembers what Rory asked him and decides to make an effort. Just then, Rory comes bursting through the door, freaking out because she’s lost the bracelet. Luke calls Lorelai to complain about the injustices of renting. He says he needs a second opinion and asks her to come look at an apartment with him. She immediately leaves work. The apartment is really nice. Lorelai tells him, "Even if Jess goes home someday, you’re still going to want this place. What if you meet someone?" She finally talks him into it... but then they discover the worst possible news: Taylor owns the building. Luke is immediately out. Taylor runs after him and says he’s thinking about buying the flower shop next to the diner, but he needs Luke to take down the old hardware store sign because it confuses people. Luke says, "It was my dad’s. I’m not taking it down," and storms off. Rory gets home, still upset about losing the bracelet. She talks to Jess about it, and he casually suggests she look in her room one more time. She walks in and immediately finds it under her bed. There it is. Lorelai goes outside to pay Jess for the job, but instead accuses him of stealing the bracelet because she caught him leaving Rory’s room about 30 minutes before it mysteriously reappeared. Jess denies it. She says, "Don’t 'whatever' me, you little jerk!"—like the uncle in Home Alone . She lectures him, saying that taking the bracelet only hurt Rory because it’s the most precious thing she owns. Jess fires back, "If it’s the most precious thing she owns, why did it take her two weeks to notice it was gone?" Yeah... I wouldn’t start calling him "son" just yet. He storms off. Luke comes banging on the door, still fuming about Taylor. He reveals that, in a fit of blind rage, he bought the building that houses the diner. Lorelai tells him that honestly, owning the building isn’t such a bad thing, and she talks him off the ledge. Before he leaves, she asks Luke if Jess ever talks to him about Rory. Luke says, "I don't know... but that would be great. She'd be such a good influence on him." Luke heads home, grabs a sledgehammer, knocks a giant hole through the apartment wall, and tells Jess... "That’s your room." Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

ABOUT: GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 14) Christopher and girlfriend Sherry visit Stars Hollow. Lorelai brings Christopher to her parents' Friday night dinner, potentially stirring up family dynamics and past feelings. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR: GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 14) February 12, 2002 | The WB CAST & CREW OF: GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 14) Lauren Graham as Lorelai Gilmore Alexis Bledel as Rory Gilmore BRAN’S GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 14) SYNOPSIS Lorelai and Rory get to Luke's and no one is there! Just one of those lulls. Rory tells Lorelai about her debate competition this week. Lane calls Rory at the diner. Naturally, Lane can see the diner with a telescope from her room where she is stuck cuz she's grounded. They head home to watch some random British baking show called Two Fat Ladies, but they're interrupted by Paris who showed up because she thinks Rory needs more practice on the debate competition. Lorelai gets a call from Christopher. Turns out he's close by and she invites him to come to the debate competition. He says he'll be there. The next day, Rory walks by a payphone and naturally Lane calls it and asks her to pick up a new single for her. Lane is not well. It's debate time! The topic is a light one - doctor assisted suicide. They do a coin flip to decide who is pro or con. Paris picks pro. Christopher shows up….with another woman! Chilton wins. Afterwards, Lorelai and Sookie go to meet Christopher's girlfriend, Sherry. Lorelai and Rory come up with a game plan on how to handle this unexpected visit and they invite them home. Before they leave, Paris asks Rory to hang out and celebrate but she can't, which really upsets Paris if you can believe it. Sherry pulls Lorelai aside and is like you don't have to get to know me. Just because we've both had a relationship with Christopher doesn't mean we have to be friends. But she really wants to get to know Rory and asks if they can hang out tonight even though it's Friday night dinner. Lorelai is like uhhh sure. Lorelai talks to Rory and Rory says she's fine hanging out with Sherry. Lorelai asks if Christopher wants to come to dinner and he's like it's good grub, why not. They get to dinner, and when Emily hears that Rory is just having this night with Sherry, she's not thrilled and starts to interrogate Christopher about this Sherry. Then Rory bursts out that she doesn't think Emily should miss Friday night dinners unless she's sick and storms out. Lorelai goes after her and Emily says it should've been you! When Christopher finally got his life together, he should've been with you! To make matters worse, Emily blames Lorelai for everything. She says she's gonna go lay down. The next morning, Lorelai and Rory meet up at Luke's. Lorelai begs Rory for all the Sherry deets. And she gives her ALLLLL the deets including how Sherry wants kids. Lorelai asks Rory if she ever hoped that she and Christopher would get together. Rory says sure I've pictured you being with dad but I've also pictured you being with Pee-wee Herman and living in his playhouse. Before they can get back to the serious convo, Rory has to run out to watch and make sure the plan to get Lane her CD works, including Kirk stopping Mrs. Kim to talk and Michel jogging by and dropping the CD in the bag. Back at Luke's, Sherry and Christopher come by to say goodbye. Sherry leaves to say goodbye to Rory and Christopher apologizes to Lorelai for last night. Lorelai says I realized something last night - all these years, I always had you in the back of my mind. The prospect of us being together. I think I subconsciously sabotaged every relationship I've ever been in because I knew you were always there. Now that I know you're not, I can move on. Believe it or not, Christopher doesn't handle that well. He says don't put that on me. You're dumping 15 years of being unhappy on me. Don't blame me. This blowup is loud and naturally Luke watches and does nothing. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Jess gets the bid up to $90 which Dean doesn't have. Believe it or not, Dean isn't thrilled by this. He tells Rory not to go with Jess. Rory is like but I have to. It's town tradition. Dean is real mad and storms off. Now it's time for Sookie's basket. She's expecting Jackson to bid. But he won't do it. Sookie is real mad. She pulls him aside and he says if you didn't want me to move in with you, why would you want a picnic with me. Sookie's like well I hadn't even thought about it before. Then she says I lied, I have thought about it. I just didn't want to ruin anything. And I think they end up landing on moving in together! It's time for Lorelai's basket and it's quite the bidding war between these two dudes that Patty brought to set up with her. So she runs to Luke's and begs him to come bid on her basket. He reluctantly agrees. Jackson goes to try to buy the basket from Kirk. Surprising no one, Kirk refuses to let Jackson buy it from him. He says he'll only sell it for $250. Lane had a whole plan to go on a date with Henry but it's quite the ordeal. He said he doesn't think he wants to keep a relationship a secret. Rory asks Jess why he outbid Dean. Jess is like I dunno...it was funny. While Jackson and Sookie are at their picnic, he says he doesn't think they should live together, he thinks they should get married! She says YES! Lorelai and Luke hang out and eat and they're vibing but they're interrupted by Dean. He comes to tell Lorelai that he's worried about Rory being with Jess. He's bad news. Lorelai says there's nothing to worry about. Rory won't do anything to hurt him. Rory then proceeds to spend the entire day with Jess. She tells Lorelai about this and it leads to a whole argument. Unfortunately for them, they're still mad at each other come Friday night dinner which means they're gonna be mad at each other in front of Emily which never goes well. When Emily finds out that Lorelai is trying to tell her that Jess is bad news, Emily is all about it. Emily is like you gotta stop her before she goes bad. That's when Lorelai realizes that she's being a whole lot like her mom. So she goes to make up with Rory. She tells her that she trusts her and if she thinks Jess is a decent guy, she believes her. But to just be careful. When they get home, Rory calls Jess just to talk. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. ABOUT: GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 12) Newly retired Richard is making Emily crazy, so Lorelai agrees to take her father for a day in Stars Hollow, where he proceeds to annoy both Lorelai and Rory. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR: GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 12) January 29, 2002 | The WB CAST & CREW OF: GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 12) Lauren Graham as Lorelai Gilmore Alexis Bledel as Rory Gilmore BRAN’S GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 12) SYNOPSIS It's Friday night dinner and Lorelai and Rory ask Richard about what he's doing with his retirement. He says he is noticing things! Like how Emily moved a vase. And got a haircut. And wore different shoes. Emily is not thrilled by these things. She tells Lorelai about how it's weird that he's always here, noticing things. Lorelai says they just need to get used to the new normal. The next day at school, Paris is mad. The newspaper is just not living up to the standard. Emily can't with Richard. It's just too much. She calls Lorelai and asks her to take Richard for the day. She just needs a break. He gets there the next day and Lorelai has no idea what to do with her father. He's like just do what you would normally do. So they start by reading the paper. Paris is inspired to write a story about the pros and cons of small town living so she needs Rory to help her by showing her around Stars Hollow. Richard shows up at the inn and can't help himself from butting in about proper business practices. She's not having it. Paris is furious that she can't find any cons in Stars Hollow until Taylor comes out to thank Rory. See, Rory was at the movie rental store and these 2 kids were looking at a questionable movie cover. She tells Kirk to maybe think about moving that movie to the top shelf. Well, Kirk took that and ran with it and moved all of the potentially objectionable titles behind a red curtain. Paris is like THIS IS THE STORY! When Rory gets home, Dean surprises her with the car! HE BUILT IT! Richard isn't having it. He doesn't think it's safe. He insists on going to get it checked out with a mechanic. He's shocked to find the car is in good working order. While waiting, they end up having it out and understanding each other a bit more. When he gets back, Lorelai says he's overstepped today. This is her house in her town and her work and her daughter. It's not his place to overrule her. Richard is like well I know that the only reason you invited me here is because Emily asked to take him off her hands for the day. This has been very hard for him and he's leaving now. Rory goes to pick up dinner and sees her picture on display in the window of the rental store. Naturally, Jess pops up to give her a hard time. Then he seems to imply that he has swapped out all the approved tapes for the bad tapes. Classic Jess. The episode ends with Richard getting home and acting like he had a great day when he sees how happy Emily is with the day. But my guy is sad. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Lorelai is like we gotta send this ice cream maker back to whoever sent it which makes Rory & Sookie sad. The next day at school, Rory gets stuck with Paris & co on a class project. After class, they see that Tristan is back from suspension. Lorelai has been attending a business class and a younger student named Paul takes a liking to her and asks her out to dinner. At school, the group reluctantly lets Tristan be their Romeo. After failing to find who sent Lorelai the ice cream maker, she tries desperately to get rid of it. Sookie is like maybe you should keep the ice cream maker and work on moving on. Lorelai is like well there is this younger guy that asked me out. Sookie is all about it. Bad news for Rory, the group is coming to Stars Hollow to rehearse at Miss Patty's. Rory is very nervous because Dean doesn't know about her kiss with Tristan and what if they bump into each other and it's weird. Lorelai is like you should tell Dean. So they role play her telling him and it only freaks Rory out more so Lorelai is like you should definitely not tell him. Tristan shows up to Stars Hollow early just to harass Dean. Rory shows up just in time to stop Dean from punching him. He's not thrilled that he's going to be Romeo but there's nothing she can do. Lorelai and Rory meet up later at Luke's. Lorelai tells Rory that the date was casual and fun. And Rory tells her about the Dean Tristan fiasco. But then Dean shows up and says he's off tomorrow and wants to come watch rehearsal. So the next day, she goes to give Tristan a heads up and asks him not to tell Dean about the kiss. He's like ok but he's gonna know when he sees us kiss on stage and see how comfortable we are. Before rehearsal, Rory and Lorelai are together at Luke's when Paul comes in with his parents. He looks like a child and Rory gives her a hard time. It's rehearsal time, and Tristan does not keep his word. He looks at Dean and is like this reminds me of our first kiss at a party. Dean assumes he's just messing with them and Rory encourages him to leave. Luke doesn't let the casual date thing go and it's clearly bothering him. Lorelai confronts him on it and he's like it's fine, just live your life. It's performance night and Tristan is nowhere to be found. He finally shows up but says his dad is pulling him out of school and sending him to military school. He says he'd kiss her goodbye but her boyfriend is watching. Paris has to put on a wig and play the part. Afterwards, Lorelai is complaining about Luke to Sookie and she's like he's clearly in love with you. ABOUT: GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 8) Longtime friends Lorelai and Sookie have their first fight when Lorelai decides that their shared dream of opening an inn is doomed to failure. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR: GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 8) November 20, 2001 | The WB CAST & CREW OF: GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 8) Lauren Graham as Lorelai Gilmore Alexis Bledel as Rory Gilmore BRAN’S GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 8) SYNOPSIS It’s Friday night dinner, and Rory agrees to pose for a painting. Apparently it’s a family tradition, despite the fact that Lorelai’s portrait was never finished. The next day, Lorelai is chatting with Luke about business. Apparently he’s a big business boy. She and Sookie want to make the leap and open their own inn. They’re still early in the process, trying to figure out how to buy that property she found with Luke’s ex, Rachel. Taylor is shocked when he walks up to Luke’s and sees police tape and a chalk outline on the ground. WTF is that about?! Lorelai and Sookie find out that the owner of the property is the sweet old lady who runs the bakery, Fran. They go talk to her, but she says she can’t sell it. It’s the last thing she has left, and she just can’t let it go. Taylor calls the police, and they come down and are like, “We have no idea what this is.” Taylor says, “I’ve got a dead body outside my store!” The cop replies, “No, everyone is accounted for. It must just be a prank.” That’s when Rory, who has just walked up to the growing crowd, sees Jess looking on with a smirk. That darn prankster. The owner of the Independence Inn is in town! Mia lovessss Lorelai and Rory, and they spend the day together. After hanging out with Mia, Lorelai begins to feel bad about potentially leaving both Mia and the inn. Taylor figures out that Jess was behind the prank, so they throw an emergency town meeting to discuss what to do about him. They conveniently forget to tell Luke, but he walks in anyway and gives the whole town a piece of his mind. After the meeting, Lorelai finally tells Mia about her plans, and Mia handles it great. So great, in fact, that Mia reveals she wants to sell the inn. This causes one of Lorelai’s classic overthinking freakouts. She tells Sookie they should just press pause on the inn idea. It’s never going to work out. Then she really lays into Sookie: you’re too disorganized, you’re not ready, this is a mess. Sookie storms off. Rory bumps into Jess and tells him that he’s making Luke’s life harder. The whole town is coming down on Luke because of him, and it’s not fair. Jess is like, “Yeah, but did you think it was funny?” They start getting a little flirty when Dean suddenly appears. Jess is like, “Oh... boyfriend? You didn’t mention that.” Awkwarddddd. Lorelai and Rory show up for Friday night dinner, and Emily proudly unveils the new painting. But Lorelai is still in a bad mood. She tells her mom what’s going on—how Mia came back into town and completely threw her off. And, surprisingly, that throws Emily off too. Lorelai starts to feel really bad about her freakout. She realizes she was just overwhelmed by everything they were trying to do. After talking it over with Luke, she goes to apologize to Sookie. Emily shows up at the inn to meet Mia. She tells her she wishes she had encouraged Lorelai to come home. But also... “Do you happen to have any pictures?” The episode ends at Luke’s. Rory watches as Luke realizes that Jess secretly fixed the toaster. The two of them share a smile. Uh oh. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. That leads to some classic Gilmore Girl banter. At school, Rory is called to the Guidance Counselor's office. Apparently, there's concern over her social behavior. She's unapproachable. She's a loner. So Lorelai shows up to give Headmaster Charleston a piece of her mind and he's like well....you're not a very active parent. You're a bit of a loner. You should think about being more involved. Rory takes the criticism to heart and sits down with some random girls at lunch. After lunch, Paris comes over and is like HOW'D YOU GET THE INVITE TO SIT DOWN WITH THE PUFFS? Rory has no idea what she's talking about. Apparently that friend group that she randomly sat with is the popular girls. Paris asks her to help her sit at their table. The popular table extends to the Boosters which Lorelai shows up for. They're planning the fall fundraiser. Lorelai offers to hold the event at the Inn. Rory successfully gets Paris an invite to sit at the Puffs table. At the inn, they're getting ready for the event and one of the Booster moms takes quite the liking to Luke. Apparently, the moms all do a fashion show and Lorelai & Emily are teamed up and Emily is LOVING life, dancing to Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. And Lorelai eventually joins in. Afterwards, Emily points out that it's interesting to see her fitting in so well into the world that she ran away from. The Puffs show up and kidnap Rory and the other new potential Puffs. They're being PUFF'd! They break into Headmaster Charleston's office and just as Rory is saying her pledge to the Puffs, the night is ruined by Headmaster Charleston. He's lecturing them when Rory speaks up - I'm only here because you all demanded that I begin to socialize. So I sat down at a random table and was kidnapped in the middle of the night all because I was trying to appease you! Headmaster Charleston tells her that she's right and that he will make sure this doesn't count against her. Lorelai tells Luke she doesn't want him to go out with that mom from the Boosters. They argue and then he says she only asked him for directions. The episode ends with Rory back at her own table at lunch and is joined by another girl who also only wants to read. So embarrassing! And the arguments keep coming. The next morning, they walk into Luke's and see Luke demanding Jess go up and change when he comes down in a Metallica shirt. So embarrassing! Emily is hanging out with her friends and they're all giving her a hard time for missing events due to Richard's work schedule when Rory shows up. When they see her, they all demand that she comes out! Comes out of where, you ask? Apparently, in high class society, you present a lady at the Debutante Ball when she is officially a woman. I dunno man. Sounds icky. Lorelai finds out about this and is like no way I'm letting you do that, but Rory insists that she really wants to! And she also really wants her dad to come. Just as the event is about to start, Lorelai looks back and sees her parents still arguing. He just keeps talking about how work is crazy and all Emily cares about is these silly events. He explains that he knows he's being phased out of the business. Emily is like so what? That doesn't go well. And then they all rush in to watch Rory walk in with Christopher and Emily whispers to Lorelai "that should've been you" and then she walks off. As the evening comes to an end, Lorelai tells Christopher that she'd like to see him more now that he's living in Boston. They end up kissing and she asks him to stay. He says it's a tempting offer but he has to get back to Boston for work...and for someone. And it's kind of serious. They're living together. She handles it well but after he walks away, you can see a wee bit of hurt in her eyes. The Gilmore girls are back at Luke's laughing as they watch Jess clean the diner wearing one of Luke's flannels and a backwards hat. Lorelai tells Rory that she's happy that she has someone to complain to when life gets hard. That leads Lorelai to go to Emily's house the next day, just to hang. She tells Emily that if there's ever anything she needs to talk about, she can talk to her. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Afterwards, she bumps into Max and awkwardly walks the other way. Lorelai invites Luke and Jess over for dinner as a little welcoming party for Jess. Jess is a bad boy. Luke comes upstairs to find snacks all over the bed and Jess smoking a cigarette inside. When Luke tells him they're going to dinner, Jess just walks out. Naturally, Luke runs to Lorelai to tell her she was right—he's way over his head. He goes to parent HARD, but Jess is like, “Thanks but no thanks. Gotta go.” He bumps into Rory, does some magic, gives her back the book he stole, proves that he reads a ton, and goes on his way. Rory is in love. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
