This week on Bottoms Up! It’s Halloween and our special guest Jack Dee gets a fright when he discovers Alan and Lee dressed as their favourite wicked witches… Jack joins the boys to talk about his brand-new stand-up tour, the latest series of Last One Laughing: Halloween and his trip to the Northern Lights with Alan (a phenomenon he denies even exists). Plus, a tasting menu of Jack’s Best Bitters – but will the boys find a bitter they can actually stomach? Elsewhere, Alan reveals the last time he kissed a woman – with a mouthful of Bombay Mix – while Jack shares his secrets to packing enough pants for life on the road. The boys also revisit their favourite Halloween looks, from Queen Elizabeth to Gemma Collins and Princess Diana… And in this week's dilemma, Frankie needs help deciding where to head next, so we brought the Virgin Atlantic Upper Class wine list: Napa Valley, Franschhoek and one a little closer to home. Before long, the boys are deep in conversation about an overseas ‘work’ trip. Strictly for research, of course. Dilemma Wines featured: Pavette Zinfandel (Napa Valley, USA) Seasalter Sauvignon Blanc (Western Cape, South Africa) Chapel Down English Rosé (Kent, UK) Some wines taste better when you’re standing where they were made. Just a thought. See the South African vineyards for yourself. Book at virginatlantic.com. If not now, when? Jack’s Joke Show Tour kicks off in February 2027. This week on Bottoms Up! Alan and Lee kick things off with a decadent, bubblegum-flavoured vodka. But will Alan be able to stomach a drink that reminds him of supermarket own-brand bubble bath? Elsewhere, Lee is feeling smug after being mistaken for straight - and is thrilled to receive a complaint accusing him of pretending to be gay on stage, whilst Alan is left baffled by the term ‘pencil’ when it comes to booking out his diary. Olivier Award-winning West End and Broadway star Layton Williams (@laytonwilliams) joins the boys for a drink to talk all things Titanique, Billy Elliot and his brand-new one-man show, Layton Live. Over some very dirty martinis, Layton spills the tea on winning awards, making his Broadway debut, theatre-going etiquette, dealing with people asking for free tickets, the new series of Strictly Come Dancing and performing for one of his all-time idols: RuPaul. This week on Bottoms Up! Alan and Lee kick things off with a red wine and cola cocktail, but Alan is dubious. Will this unlikely concoction work, or will it be another culinary disaster on the scale of his infamous chicken tikka lasagne? Elsewhere, Lee's raging about the sugar tax and the ever-shrinking size of his favourite chocolate bars, while Alan reveals how he entertained himself as a student without a TV… with a little help from the Argos catalogue. The boys discuss Alan's time on the new series of The Masked Singer, baffling supermarket slogans, and the burning question: how exactly did Alan end up posting a stool sample through the door of a travel agent?! Plus, Cheese & Wine Expert Jessica Summer (@mouseandgrape) joins the boys with a selection of delicious pairings. But which combination proves so emotional that it sees Lee breaking down in tears? This week on Bottoms Up! Alan and Lee are back at Vagabond Urban Winery, where they’re joined by Aleesha Hansel to explore wines that are good for the world. Lee is feeling nervous this week after announcing his first solo tour! What advice can Alan offer, and what happens when they’re both playing in the same city on the same night?! Catch Lee on tour from April - tickets available from leepeart.net/tour. Alan’s been reading a book about stocks and shares, and it’s left him clueless about some of life’s biggest questions – from finances and VAT to, most importantly, ITV’s The Chase. Can Lee explain the rules so Alan can finally relax and enjoy his favourite tea-time quiz show? Wine expert Aleesha (@aleeshahansel) has brought along a selection of wines with a feel-good factor - from canned wine and wine in cardboard bottles to a bottle you can actually post back once you’ve finished drinking it. This week on Bottoms Up! Alan and Lee head to Vagabond Urban Winery in Surrey Quays to get stuck into some actual wine making - and things get very messy. Alan fills Lee in on the NTAs, where he picked up the Special Recognition Award, complete with a surprise musical tribute from Paloma Faith, Amanda Holden and… Kate Garraway. Over an Autumnal Aperol Spritz, Lee reveals the slightly clichéd voiceover roles he’s always being booked for, Alan recalls the time a Ouija board accidentally outed him, and Lee tells the story of visiting a particularly aggressive clairvoyant after a brutal break-up. Drag and wine duo Beth Brickenden and Vanity Von Glow join the boys for some serious wine tasting… and some decidedly less serious wine making, as Alan and Lee get elbow-deep in fermenting grapes and discover exactly what goes on inside an urban winery. This week on Bottoms Up! Alan and Lee take on a series of drinking games, from ‘Lady Gargle’ to ‘Naked Attraction: The Wine Edition’ and ‘The Secret Sommelier’. But can they really tell the difference between a £22 bottle of wine and one costing just £6? Elsewhere, the boys reminisce about their childhood crushes. Alan reveals he was once enamoured with the Jack of Clubs on a lonely day in Northampton, while Lee had a thing for Hercules… but only once he’d beefed up. And in showbiz news, Alan is about to become a movie star, starring alongside Rita Ora in a new animated film. Will reveals his love for the tomato juice cocktail, why he decided to create his own canned version and how he - thankfully - avoided botulism… Elsewhere, Lee’s got another game up his sleeve with ‘What The Bloody Hell Is In This?’, Will gives the boys the latest goss from the Big Brother house and Alan shares about the time he spent the day inside it and discovered some rather questionable stains around the place.
