In which, after Hamilton gets a canning lesson from Rutabug and Thumbkin, Petipom discovers a giant zucchini. Then, rolling it down to the creek, they discover it floats, which Rutabug has the bright idea of transforming it into a ship they appropriately call, The Black Beauty .
In which Hamilton leads everyone on a small adventure outside the garden to his old home, a great oak tree. Upon returning, Hamilton realizes that a house is not a home, but the people are. In which everyone gathers on the grassy knoll to watch the sunrise. After the Prince of Summer arrives in his castle in the sky, the summer games begin. Petipom discovers Tourmaline eating the green strawberries and cannot get her to stop. Then the corps fairies try, but that does not work. In which Hamilton learns what makes a good gardener and helps Rutabug weed the garden. When the gnomes discover a dandelion, Emerald convinces them to let it be.
