Welcome to Strong Girl Style! My name is Emma Lawson and I am a 21 year old girl trying to navigate my life journey. I have been a professional CrossFit Athlete for the last few years and am continuing to discover my passions. My goal with this podcast is to create a safe space where I can share my personal experiences as a young competitor, and what it’s like to be a female in a physically demanding sport. I’ll also share some life updates and new passions, and I hope to inspire YOU to be the best version of yourself, for yourself. In today’s episode, I’m breaking down my experience at the Mayhem Classic; the semifinal competition that earned me a spot back at the CrossFit Games. I dive into how prioritizing a strong, focused mindset played a huge role in my performance, and why the wins that had nothing to do with the leaderboard ended up meaning the most. Those moments stuck with me and ultimately helped carry me to where I wanted to be.
