We close on a shaman ritual, where Yeon-jin watches her mudang get possessed by So-hee's spirit, and in a flashback, we FINALLY learn how and why Yeon-jin killed her. We pick up in the aftermath of Dong-eun's public takedown of Sa-ra and Yeon-jin, and the fallout comes fast. Yeon-jin stays defiant and lies straight to Do-young's lawyers, while Sa-ra, all fury and no strategy, screams her way into a jail cell. Hye-jeong finally plays the secret Myeong-oh recording for Jae-joon, and his response, weirdly, is a marriage proposal. Yeon-jin's mom, still being tailed by Hyun-nam's husband, panics and runs to her shaman for help. Yeo-jeong makes his next move, and it's a big one: he applies for a job at the prison holding his father's murderer. The walls keep closing in on Yeon-jin. A spicy confrontation with Hye-jeong bleeds into an even worse one with the police officer, who has quietly decided to blackmail her, and casually reveals that Myeong-oh's body has NOT actually been buried. And then, the grand finale. Dong-eun squares off with her psycho mom, and her mom responds by torching the apartment. Her mom is freaking out over terrifying texts from Hyun-nam's husband. Mr. Bob turns out to be a real big creep, and gets beaten to a pulp by Jae-joon. Jae-joon, then, gets beaten to a pulp by Do-young, who is absolutely enraged (and very sexy) over the fact that Jae-joon showed up at Ye-sol's school acting like he's her father. Do-young FINALLY blows up at Yeon-jin, and it's GREAT. Dong-eun's mom betrays her AGAIN, leading to one of the most emotional moments of the episode. Dong-eun, while crying her eyes out, gets approached by a crazy-looking Jae-joon, and Yeo-jeong comes to save the day. She doesn't cry for long, though, because the next day, she serves up the SWEETEST revenge on Sa-ra and Yeon-jin. This episode is NUTS, y'all. Welcome to YOUR Korean podcast drama! Sarangees! The time has come to bid farewell to our favorite couple ever, Seo-ri and Se-gye (tear!). These final two episodes did NOT let us down… the writers gave us the happy ending we needed! In episode 13, we FINALLY find out how Seo-ri and Dan-shim's souls switched, Se-gye and Telemundo continue their showdown, and we sit through the longest death montage ever for Seo-ri's halmoni. Then we end on the craziest cliffhanger: Se-gye gets stabbed TWICE, all because his grandfather had to go and kidnap Telemundo's son! It's nuts! Then in episode 14, we're back in the Joseon era, where Seo-ri returns to save Se-gye by saving the grand prince. She gets stuck in limbo as a "gift" from the gods, while Se-gye loses his mind looking for her. But don't worry! Seo-ri snaps out of her dreamlike state and comes back to reunite with the love of her life, Se-gye! Dan-shim and the grand prince get their own happy ending too, running off to China in the Joseon era (we don't fully understand how they end up meeting again, but we'll go with it!). Welcome to YOUR Korean podcast drama! We're back with reactions to the Perfect Crown finale, AND WE HAVE THOUGHTS. These last episodes felt rushed and disjointed. The show tried to cram a season's worth of payoff into too little runway, and 12 episodes was simply not enough room for the character development this story deserved. OK, deep breaths, here we go… Hui-joo and Aide Choi save I-an from the deadly fire, and Hui-joo finally starts suspecting PM-nim — meanwhile he's already plotting to transfer I-an's regency to the Queen while our boy is still unconscious. The Queen confesses that her father tried to kill I-an, and our prince wakes up ready to ABOLISH THE MONARCHY. What?! Then the PM has the AUDACITY to threaten the Queen (he'll frame the baby King as a criminal) but she records the whole thing (TROPE TRACKER!). Hui-joo exposes his dastardly plans at a royal meeting, which gives us a tearful confrontation between I-an and the PM. The country votes to abolish the monarchy, we time-jump 3 years, Hui-joo is back at Castle Group, I-an is learning to cook (??), and we close on a kiss cam at a Castle Group baseball game.
