This is the last replay episode in this series, and I saved one of my most popular ones for the finale. Starting next episode, I am kicking off a brand new 4-part series walking you through exactly how to set up Claude to support your podcast marketing efforts, quick shortcuts, tips, and how you can use it throughout your entire business. That starts with episode 83. But today, let's talk about growing your podcast and your email list at the same time. Podcast downloads alone are outdated as a primary metric of success. You do not own those listeners, but you do own your email list. Your email list is a direct line to your audience where you can build trust, provide value, and turn loyal listeners into paying super fans. In this episode, I am sharing 10 proven strategies to build your podcast audience and your email list simultaneously. This is tactical and step by step. Whether you are just starting out or already getting thousands of downloads per episode, these strategies work at every stage. I have worked with big name podcasters who have massive audiences and are not paying attention to their email list at all. Do not wait until you are at a million downloads to realize you have no one to talk to on the other side. Start connecting these two channels now. I am still on maternity leave, soaking up snuggles with my baby boy, so I am continuing to bring back a few of my favorite episodes, the ones my audience loved most and got the most value from. Today's topic is something I get asked about more than almost anything else: how to write show notes that actually rank on Google and AI search tools and drive traffic back to your podcast, your website, and your email list. This episode walks you through the entire process step by step. It originally released back in February 2025 as episode 4. Since I recorded this, I have fully switched over to Claude for this exact task, and I cannot recommend it enough. I have trained my Claude to sound like me, and it remembers my templates and my voice far better than what I was using before. If you are deciding which AI tool to use for your podcast marketing, that is my strong recommendation. In this episode, I walk you through exactly how to use AI to draft SEO-rich, blog-style show notes that go far beyond a simple summary. This is a real resource hub for your episode, something structured specifically to attract search engine traffic, convert casual readers into loyal listeners, and turn your show notes into a true traffic-driving, list-building asset for your business. Here's a glance to the episode: What SEO-rich blog-style show notes actually are and how they differ from your podcast platform description The exact AI prompt to turn your transcript into a full blog-style show notes draft Why training your AI to sound like you is the single biggest factor in getting usable output quickly How to write keyword-optimized titles that people are actually searching for The full show notes layout: engaging introduction, embedded podcast player, key takeaways, timestamps, and platform badges Why timestamps and bulleted takeaways help both readers and search engines How to use images, alt text, and media to boost SEO and drive clicks How to close with a strong CTA using a lead magnet, playlist bundle, or embedded opt-in form How to link resources and affiliate links mentioned in your episode How to take your show notes further with SEO-focused AI prompts for keywords, headings, and meta descriptions Why creating a repeatable show notes template or SOP makes this entire process faster for you or your team Timestamps: 00:28: Writing Show Notes That Rank 02:12: Getting Started With SEO-Rich Show Notes 05:14: Why Your Show Notes Matter 06:50: What Makes Show Notes SEO-Friendly? 09:33: Using AI to Draft Your Show Notes 10:22: The AI Prompt to Get Started 12:30: Training AI to Sound Like You 13:27: Refining & Optimizing Your Draft 13:59: Creating SEO-Friendly Podcast Titles 15:29: Structuring Your Show Notes 17:18: Adding Timestamps, Keywords & Platform Links 19:51: Building the Main Content & Adding Media 21:17: Creating a Strong CTA 23:18: Using AI to Improve SEO & Keywords 25:06: Meta Titles, Descriptions & Feature Images 25:43: The Complete Show Notes Process 26:30: Final Thoughts & Next Steps Mentioned in This Episode Join the Newsletter Take the Podcast Growth Quiz Connect with Kylee Website: podcastmarketinghub.com Podcast: Podcast Growth Tools Instagram: @kyleejchandler Let's Connect! I am still on maternity leave, so today I am bringing back one of my most popular episodes, and for good reason. I originally dropped this in early 2025 and it sparked more DMs, replies, and "oh my gosh, I needed to hear this" messages than almost any other episode I have released. Even if you heard it the first time around, this one is worth a second listen. In this episode, I am breaking down the metrics that actually matter beyond downloads. We are talking about followers, super fan conversions, community, and how to stop treating your podcast like it is siloed from the rest of your business. If you have been refreshing your download numbers and wondering whether any of this is even working, this episode is going to be a reset for you. Downloads are a vanity metric. They give you some insight, but they do not tell you if people are actually coming back, if they are following your show, if they are joining your email list, or if they are buying your offers. In this episode, I walk through exactly what to track instead and how to turn your podcast into a true growth engine for your business, not just a content channel that lives on its own. Here's a glance to the episode: Why Followers Matter More Than You Think Why a follow or subscribe is the closest thing podcasting has to true retention How to track followers on Apple Podcasts Connect and Spotify for Creators Where to place your follow call to action for the best results (hint: not just at the end) How to Create Super Fans What separates a casual listener from a true super fan Why consistency, real value, and making listeners feel seen is the entire strategy How intentional keywords in your titles and descriptions help the right people find you Why planning your content ahead of time changes everything How to Turn Passive Listeners Into Active Subscribers Why every lead magnet you create should be podcast centric How to repurpose existing episodes into bundles, quizzes, and playlists instead of creating new content The difference between dynamic ads and baked in ads (and when to use each) Why baked in ads convert better and feel more natural to your audience How to Build Real Community Through Your Podcast Why your podcast can be the front door to your community How to use Instagram DMs, story questions, and email replies to build real connection How a private podcast can be used to attract new listeners to your main show Why loyal listeners have a significantly higher lifetime value How to Fully Integrate Your Podcast Into Your Business Why podcasters keep their show too siloed from the rest of their marketing How to use episodes to warm people up for your digital offers How to use your top performing podcast content inside a re-engagement email campaign Why your podcast should be nurture content, not just top of funnel content Timestamps: 03:16: Why download numbers don’t tell the whole story 04:41: The metrics that actually matter for podcast growth 07:27: Why downloads are a vanity metric and the importance of impact 09:09: Why podcast followers matter more than you think 12:43: What creates true podcast super fans 15:19: Turning passive listeners into active email subscribers 16:11: Using podcast content to create lead magnets 18:14: Dynamic ads vs. baked-in ads and how to use them 20:23: Using your podcast to build a loyal community 21:33: Encouraging DMs, conversations, and audience feedback 22:44: Using private podcasts to attract and nurture new listeners 24:30: Integrating your podcast into your overall business strategy 25:32: Using podcast episodes to warm up potential customers 26:11: Repurposing podcast content across your marketing 26:18: Using podcast content to nurture your email list 27:40: Final thoughts: moving beyond downloads and building a true business asset 29:27: Closing thoughts and what’s coming next Your Next Steps If you want weekly insights on podcast growth, marketing strategy, and turning listeners into subscribers, join the newsletter at: www.podcastmarketinghub.com/subscribe Take the Podcast Growth Quiz: www.podcastmarketinghub.com/quiz Connect with Kylee Website: podcastmarketinghub.com Podcast: Podcast Growth Tools Instagram: @kyleejchandler Let's Connect! If you have ever wondered whether paid ads could actually help you grow your podcast, or if Meta Ads Manager makes your eyes glaze over, this episode is for you. My guest is Meta ad strategist and agency owner Brooklyn Grotte. She manages millions of dollars in ad spend every month for her clients, and she makes advertising feel accessible, practical, and human. This conversation is a recording from a live training Brooklyn gave inside one of my masterminds, where she broke down exactly what is working for Meta ads right now, why so many podcasters are wasting money on the wrong types of campaigns, and how even a small budget can help you grow your audience, build your email list, and attract the right listeners. In this episode, Brooklyn shares the ad strategies she is seeing succeed in real time, the difference between awareness, engagement, and lead generation campaigns, and why founder-led content is outperforming AI-generated ads right now. Whether you are completely new to paid ads or you have been experimenting without much luck, you will walk away with a clear understanding of how to use ads strategically to grow your podcast and your business. Here's a glance to the episode: Why lead generation ads outperform awareness ads for podcast growth How Meta's Advantage Plus targeting works and why manual interest stacking is dead Why founder-led video is outperforming AI avatars and AI-generated content right now The four ad plays for podcasters: subscribe, episode, lead magnet, and private podcast Why a curated podcast playlist makes one of the most effective lead magnets The real numbers behind Meta's learning phase and how many conversions you need before scaling Budget guidance for lead gen ads, engagement ads, and low-ticket offers Why boosting Instagram posts rarely works (and the one case where it does) The five stages of buyer awareness and how to create ads for each stage How to use AI tools like Claude to research competitor ads and generate hook variations Why your offer, not your ad creative, is usually the real bottleneck The rule of thumb for scaling ad budget without breaking your results Why episode soundbites outperform generic show trailers as ad creative How to structure a direct-to-camera ad video that hooks viewers in the first 3 seconds Timestamps: 03:06: How Kylee and Brooklyn met and why community matters 08:53: What is working in Meta ads right now (the Andromeda algorithm explained) 10:16: Advantage Plus targeting: why manual interest stacking is no longer needed 10:50: Why lead gen ads to a free offer are working better than awareness ads 11:35: Founder-led video vs. AI avatars: a real test and real results 12:59: How to use the Meta Ads Library to research competitor ads 14:49: Comment-to-DM keyword ads and why they work 16:11: Why boosting Instagram posts rarely makes sense (and the one exception) 20:38: The four ad plays for podcasters: subscribe, episode, lead magnet, private podcast 23:44: Why a curated podcast playlist is one of the most effective lead magnets 26:25: Three budget zones and how much to spend based on your goal 26:55: The learning phase explained: how many conversions you need before Meta optimizes 33:46: How Meta billing actually works (it is not cost per click) 37:37: Is it too early in your business to run paid ads? 42:16: Recommendation: lead gen over awareness or engagement for podcasters 42:54: Static vs. video vs. carousel: what performs and how Brooklyn splits her content mix 44:08: The five stages of buyer awareness and how to speak to each one 47:01: Using AI (Claude and ChatGPT) for hook research and ad variations, not first drafts 49:13: Why Brooklyn does not recommend TikTok ads right now 49:32: Paid podcast cross-promotion as an underused strategy 50:11: Setting up the Meta Pixel (and why you need it) 51:17: Why episode soundbites outperform generic show trailers 52:29: iOS 17, broken attribution, and why UTMs matter 53:47: The scaling rule: do not scale budget until you hit 30 conversions in 7 days 54:37: Why the bottleneck is rarely the ad itself (audit your offer first) 1:00:09: How to structure a direct-to-camera ad video that hooks in the first 3 seconds 1:05:35: Where to find and follow Brooklyn Resources and Links Mentioned in This Episode Join the Newsletter Take the Podcast Growth Quiz Full Show Notes and Blog Post Connect with Kylee Website: podcastmarketinghub.com Podcast: Podcast Growth Tools Instagram: @kyleejchandler Connect with Brooklyn: Instagram: @bizwithbrooklyn Email List Accelerator (50% off with code KYLEE ) Let's Connect! This is one of my most downloaded episodes ever, and the strategy I teach in it is just as relevant today as when I first recorded it in March 2025. Honestly, maybe even more so. I have seen it work time and time again. In this episode of Podcast Growth Tools, I walk you through a framework for turning your existing podcast episodes into lead magnets that grow your email list. The concept is simple: bundle your best episodes by topic, put them behind an opt-in, get them in front of the right people, and use them to convert listeners into email subscribers and subscribers into buyers. When I originally recorded this, I was calling it the Magnet Magic Framework. I do not call it that anymore. What I teach now is the Podcast First Funnel, and it has evolved into a more refined version of everything you are about to hear. But the core strategy is the same. I have just gotten a lot sharper about how I teach it and the systems around it. Here is the thing I get asked all the time: what are the best lead magnets for getting people from my podcast to my email list? PDFs and checklists generally do not work as well as they used to. There is a very specific way to make those convert, and most podcasters are not doing it right. But this podcast first funnel strategy works like a charm, and you can use it everywhere, not just your podcast. Here's a glance to the episode: Why downloads alone do not build a business and what does The 5-phase framework for turning your podcast into a lead generation machine Phase 1: How to brainstorm and identify the right bundle topics based on your audience and your data Phase 2: How to create your lead magnets (from simple email delivery to full landing pages) Phase 3: How to automate and deliver the bundles seamlessly Phase 4: How to promote your bundles using dynamic ads, ManyChat, website pop-ups, and more Phase 5: How to test, optimize, and track what is working Why episode bundles outperform traditional PDF lead magnets How I used this strategy with Amy Porterfield and saw a 95% opt-in rate on one bundle How to align your bundles with your paid offers so you grow your list with the right people Why three to five bundles is the sweet spot for testing How to use your top-performing episodes to decide what bundles to create Timestamps: 1:00: The Podcast First Funnel: what it is and why it works 2:00: The course that walks you through building this step by step 4:00: Original episode begins: What is the framework and why it matters 6:00: Why downloads alone do not build a business 7:00: The 5 phases of the framework 8:45: Real results: how we used this strategy with Amy Porterfield 10:25: Phase 1: Brainstorming and identifying your bundle topics 11:00: What are topic pillars and how to find yours 12:50: Three questions to ask yourself to identify the right bundles 14:00: Free brainstorming worksheet 14:30: Phase 2: Creating your lead magnet content 15:00: The simplest version: an email with episode links (no PDF required) Mentioned in This Episode Podcast First Funnel Course Free Brainstorming Worksheet Join the Newsletter Take the Podcast Growth Quiz Connect with Kylee Website: podcastmarketinghub.com Podcast: Podcast Growth Tools Instagram: @kyleejchandler Let's Connect! What if a few micro tweaks could grow your podcast by 43% in three months without a heavy lift? That is exactly what happened for my guest Kellie Lupsha, and in this episode she is sharing everything she did. Kellie is the host of Thriving in Midlife, a former physical therapist turned entrepreneur who helps women navigate their 40s, 50s, and beyond through health optimization and wellness. She publishes two episodes a week, runs a women's membership and an intensive 12-week program, and recently built two quiz funnels that completely changed what she knows about her audience. Kellie was one of my students in my beta mastermind, and she is one of the best implementers I have ever worked with. After making small, strategic changes to her podcast titles, descriptions, and show notes, she saw 43% growth in downloads in just three months. Then she switched to Captivate, applied everything she had learned about SEO, and matched four years of total downloads in just four months. In this episode of Podcast Growth Tools, Kellie shares the exact changes she made, what surprised her most about her quiz data, how she manages two episodes per week without burning out, why her first membership failed and how it led her to build a better podcast, and her honest advice for anyone wondering whether podcasting is worth the long game commitment. Here's a glance to the episode: How Kellie grew her podcast downloads by 43% in three months through micro tweaks How she matched four years of total downloads in just four months after switching platforms and optimizing for SEO The two biggest needle movers: SEO-optimized titles and quiz funnels Why her quiz data surprised her and told her exactly who to create content for How she built two new quizzes after learning the process (one product-based, one for audience segmentation) Why quizzes outperform traditional PDF lead magnets for driving email opt-ins How she publishes two podcast episodes per week with minimal editing and a VA Why her first $19 membership failed and what it taught her about what her audience actually wanted Why raw, unpolished podcast content is connecting with female audiences more than ever Her strategy for finding and vetting guests through relationships instead of cold pitches Why building an email list from day one is the number one thing she wishes she had done sooner Her advice for anyone thinking about starting a podcast: the 10-episode test "It is never crowded because nobody is in your space" Timestamps: 4:00: How she started podcasting during COVID and let the show evolve 6:35: Why her first $19 membership failed and what it taught her 7:30: How she realized her audience wanted conversations, not courses 8:45: Letting your podcast name and format change without fear 9:15: How she publishes two episodes per week 10:05: Batching content, minimal editing, and hiring a VA 12:05: Why raw and real content is winning with female audiences 16:05: How her podcast feeds into her business 16:30: Why she never looked at her analytics before the mastermind 17:15: Her goal to guest on more podcasts in 2026 18:05: Finding and vetting guests through relationships 21:30: Creating content from program questions and real life experiences 25:00: Why two or three conversations give you your best episode topics 27:05: The two biggest aha moments from the mastermind 27:25: SEO in podcast titles and show notes 28:05: Why quizzes outperform traditional lead magnets 28:30: How her first quiz drove leads and what she learned 29:00: Building two new quizzes 30:05: The quiz data surprise: what she expected vs. what happened 31:05: How the quiz told her exactly who to create content for 32:55: Why the curated quiz experience creates raving fans 34:25: The growth results: 43% in three months, four years of downloads in four months 36:05: Why monthly analytics tracking is now part of her workflow 36:25: Advice for anyone thinking about starting a podcast 37:00: The 10-episode test 38:25: It is never crowded because nobody is in your space Your Next Steps If you want weekly insights on podcast growth, marketing strategy, and turning listeners into subscribers, join the newsletter at: www.podcastmarketinghub.com/subscribe Take the Podcast Growth Quiz: www.podcastmarketinghub.com/quiz Mentioned in This Episode Full Show Notes and Blog Post Connect with Kellie Podcast: Thriving in Midlife (available on all major podcast apps) Instagram: @kellielupsha Connect with Kylee Website: podcastmarketinghub.com Podcast: Podcast Growth Tools Instagram: @kyleejchandler Let's Connect! You have already audited and optimized your back catalog. Now it is time to turn all of that content into things that actually grow your email list, generate leads, and bring in revenue without recording a single new episode. When was the last time you actually did anything with your old podcast episodes after they went live? If the answer is never, you are sitting on a goldmine and you do not even know it. In this episode of Podcast Growth Tools, I am walking you through five strategies to audit, optimize, and reactivate your podcast back catalog so it starts working for your business again. Every episode you have ever published has the potential to grow your email list, bring in new listeners, and drive people to your offers. But most podcasters publish an episode, promote it once, and never touch it again. This is Part 1 of a two-part series. What if the 50, 100, or 650 episodes sitting in your back catalog could be working for you right now, bringing in new listeners, growing your email list, and generating revenue without you creating a single new piece of content? That is exactly what my guest Kelly Smith has built. Kelly is the host of Mindful In Minutes (26 million downloads across nearly nine years) and Meditation Mama. She runs two podcasts, raises two kids, and works roughly 40 hours per month. And her back catalog is one of the most strategic assets in her entire business. In this episode of Podcast Growth Tools, Kelly and I go deep on how she uses a quiz funnel to turn 650+ episodes into personalized playlists for every listener, how she plans her entire podcast calendar six to nine months in advance using a color-coded spreadsheet and real performance data, and the honest numbers behind podcast advertising and monetization. This is one of the nerdiest and most transparent conversations I have had on this show. Kelly gives it to you straight, and if you have been sitting on a back catalog wondering what to do with it, this episode is your answer. 🔑Here's a glance to the episode: How Kelly grew Mindful In Minutes to 26 million downloads over nine years Why your back catalog is your most valuable asset and how to activate it How a quiz funnel turned 650+ episodes into personalized playlists (1,200+ quiz takers from organic traffic alone) The eight meditation archetypes and what the quiz data revealed about her audience Why cross-referencing quiz data with episode performance data changed her entire content strategy How she plans her podcast calendar six to nine months ahead using a color-coded spreadsheet Why she tracks her stats every single week and lets the data speak instead of her ego The real numbers behind podcast advertising: CPM rates between $12 and $20, agency minimums of 10,000 downloads per episode, and the math that shows why ads alone are not the answer Why selling a $44 mini course can make more money than running ads on a 10,000 download episode How 80% of her retreat attendees are podcast listeners (including one who waited six years for the timing to work) The two-year rule: why Kelly tells aspiring podcasters to be prepared to show up for free for at least two years How she balances two podcasts with two kids and a husband who works seven days on, seven days off Why the trust recession makes longform podcast content more valuable than ever Timestamps: 03:00: How Kelly started her podcast in 2017 to stay connected with her yoga students 07:00: The COVID moment: losing $15,000 in a day and then seeing a quarter million downloads in a week 10:00: How she started her second podcast, Meditation Mama 11:30: Why consistency and a searchable back catalog are her biggest growth drivers 14:00: How she infuses her podcast and her business together to create a flywheel 16:10: How she stays consistent as a mom of two with a husband who works seven days on, seven days off 17:00: The color-coded spreadsheet: planning six to nine months of content ahead of time 19:00: Her data-driven approach to content: top categories, what performs, and taking ego out of it 23:00: Why podcasting is the most intimate form of content in the age of AI 24:30: The quiz strategy: why she built it and what it does for her listeners 27:00: Eight quiz results, eight meditation archetypes, and the data behind who is taking the quiz 31:00: Cross-referencing quiz data with episode performance data (the nerdiest and best part) 35:00: Client success story: 10,000 quiz takers, 8,500 email subscribers, and 77% revenue growth 38:00: The real numbers behind podcast monetization and advertising 40:00: CPM rates, agency minimums, and why ads alone are not the best path for most podcasters 42:00: Why selling your own micro offers is more profitable than ad revenue 45:00: Kelly's mini course and virtual retreat strategy for monetization 47:00: Where to find Kelly, take the quiz, and get a personalized meditation playlist Resources & Links Mentioned in This Episode Join the newsletter Take the Podcast Growth Quiz Full Show Notes and Blog Post Connect with Kelly Website: yogaforyouonline.com Podcast: Mindful In Minutes (available on all major podcast apps) Podcast: Meditation Mama (available on all major podcast apps) Quiz: yogaforyouonline.com/quiz Mini Course: Mastering Guided Meditations ($44) Connect with Kylee Website: podcastmarketinghub.com Podcast: Podcast Growth Tools Instagram: @kyleejchandler Loved this episode? Would you publicly share your revenue goal and let people watch you chase it? My guest Megan Yelaney did exactly that, and in this episode we are breaking down everything behind it. Megan is a business coach, messaging strategist, and the host of the Business Not As Usual podcast. She has built a million-dollar brand helping coaches become the one person their clients cannot stop thinking about. She is a former musical theater actress turned entrepreneur, a twin mom, and she is currently on a public mission to hit $200K in 90 days while working under 30 hours a week with two toddlers at home. In this episode of Podcast Growth Tools, Megan shares what she calls the "authority stamp" (or 10K one-liner), how to build thought leadership content that positions you as an expert, three marketing strategies that no longer work and what to do instead, how she uses private podcasts as a launch tool, and what it actually feels like to set a public revenue goal and let people watch the messy middle unfold. This was one of the most tactical interviews I have ever done. By the end of this episode you will have things you can implement today. 🔑Here's a glance to the episode: What the authority stamp (10K one-liner) is and how to create yours Why authority comes from lived experience just as much as credentials An exercise you can do right now to find your authority stamp The two types of content that build authority faster than anything else How private podcasts work as a lead magnet and launch tool Why almost everyone who bought Megan's program had listened to her private podcast first Three marketing strategies that no longer work in 2026 Why "people do not care how you get them there" is now completely false How to name your framework and create tangible tools that make people say "I need that" Why the post with the most saves of the year barely sold anything The difference between content that gets saves and content that gets sales Why sharing the messy middle converts better than polished expert content How video series are outperforming static educational content right now What Megan learned about fear of failure from her public $200K challenge Timestamps: 03:35: What the 10K one-liner is and how it became the "authority stamp" 05:00: A real-time marketing lesson: why the first version did not sell and what she changed 07:15: What authority actually means (credentials vs. lived experience) 09:03: An exercise to find your authority stamp right now 11:20: How to create authority content: thought leadership and storytelling 13:50: Video series and why they are working so well right now 16:00: How private podcasts work as a launch tool (Main Character Energy) 19:00: How the private podcast led directly to program sales 20:00: Using podcast testimonial episodes to warm up leads 23:10: Three marketing strategies that no longer work 25:00: Shift 1: People now care about the HOW, not just the result 28:00: Naming your framework and creating tangible tools within it 29:03: Shift 2: Stop only sharing from your expert perspective 31:00: Why sharing the messy middle converts better than polished content 32:30: Shift 3: Educational content alone will not sell your offer 35:00: The post that got the most saves of the year but barely sold anything 37:00: The public $200K challenge: why she did it and what she has learned 41:00: Main Character Energy private podcast: where to listen 📌Resources and Links: Join the newsletter Take the Podcast Growth Quiz Full Show Notes and Blog Post Connect with Kylee Website: podcastmarketinghub.com Podcast: Podcast Growth Tools Instagram: @kyleejchandler Connect with Megan Website: https://meganyelaney.com Podcast: Business Not As Usual Podcast (available on all major podcast apps) Instagram: @meganyelaney 💬 Loved this episode? What do female podcasters actually talk about when they get in a room together? I just got back from the Podcasting Moms Conference in Nashville, and the conversations I had changed how I think about podcast growth entirely. In this episode, I'm sharing my five biggest takeaways for female entrepreneurs who podcast, from why downloads are no longer the most important metric, to how AI is reshaping the way we create content, to why the most loyal audiences are being built around real , unfiltered podcast experiences. What if going viral would actually hurt your business more than help it? My guest Kristina Bartold has worked with over 250 businesses through her social media agency, The Social Snippet . She has seen people with 75,000 followers who cannot sell a $15 product. She has also seen entrepreneurs with small, engaged communities sell out events with a single email. The difference is not audience size. It is community. In this episode of Podcast Growth Tools , we dive into why chasing virality is a trap for most entrepreneurs, what actually drives revenue on social media, how she built a seven-figure agency in three years through relationships instead of followers, and the exact strategies that are working right now for promoting your podcast on Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, and beyond. We also get into one of the most honest membership pivot stories I have heard. She had a $37 membership with 35 members that would not grow no matter what she tried. She was ready to shut it down. Instead, she pivoted the entire concept, relaunched at double the price, and now has over 100 members and growing. Her lesson: you cannot outwork a bad offer. If you have ever caught yourself wishing for a viral moment to change your business, this conversation is going to shift your perspective entirely. 🔑Here's a glance to the episode: Why Kristina refers clients elsewhere when they come to her wanting virality The story of multiple clients with 75K+ followers who could not sell a $15 product How she built a seven-figure agency through relationships and 100+ free Instagram audits The one time she went viral and why she never wants to do it again How she sent one email and sold out her next event What actually works for promoting your podcast on social media right now Banger reels, carousels, ManyChat, Instagram Stories, and trend-based content Why Threads has been surprisingly effective for podcast promotion How pairing speaking events with podcast episodes drives immediate downloads The honest story of pivoting a $37 membership into a 100+ member community at double the price Why you cannot outwork a bad offer and how to know when it is time to pivot Her advice on hiring early and outsourcing before you feel financially ready Why podcasting is the ultimate networking and authority building tool How her podcast downloads doubled after getting intentional with episode titles Timestamps: 04:02: How Kristina balances a seven-figure agency, a community, a podcast, and motherhood 05:05: Her first hire and why she outsourced before she was financially ready 07:00: The truth about going viral: why Kristina refers virality-seekers elsewhere 08:30: 75K followers and cannot sell a $15 product: audience vs. community 09:50: How she sent one email and sold out her event 10:30: The time she went viral and why she walked away from it 11:10: How to build a community that buys everything you sell 13:05: Why she did 100+ free Instagram audits and how it became her growth engine 14:50: The power of conversations and market research 16:20: Why getting in front of other audiences is the fastest path to growth 17:07: How she built High Vibe Women from casual dinners to 200+ person events 19:20: How long she has been podcasting and why she almost gave up 20:20: How her podcast downloads doubled after fixing her episode titles 21:45: What actually works for promoting your podcast on social media 24:40: LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads: which platforms are worth your time 27:00: How she uses speaking events and podcast episodes together for maximum impact 28:58: The story behind High Vibe Women and what makes it different 32:00: How she pivoted from a $37 membership to a community with 100+ members at double the price 34:00: Why you cannot outwork a bad offer 35:00: Closing thoughts on relationships, community, and showing up 📌Resources and Links: Join the newsletter Take the Podcast Growth Quiz Full Show Notes and Blog Post Connect with Kylee Website: podcastmarketinghub.com Podcast: Podcast Growth Tools Instagram: @kyleejchandler Connect with Kristina Agency: https://thesocialsnippet.com Podcast: Community Podcast (available on all major podcast apps) Instagram: @kristina.bartold 🎧 Listen on your favorite platform, now streaming on Apple Podcasts , Spotify , and YouTube . 💬 Loved this episode? Can Instagram Lives actually become podcast episodes? My guest Gilly did exactly that — and it changed everything for her business. In this episode of Podcast Growth Tools, I'm sitting down with Gilly, founder of Gilly's Organics and host of Everyday Rockstars, to talk about how she went from recording short 14-minute Instagram Live interviews for a local New Jersey magazine to launching a full podcast on Apple Podcasts and Spotify — and how that shift opened doors for her skincare business, her speaking career, and a brand new coaching community. This is one of the most creative podcast origin stories I've come across, and if you're a business owner who's been creating content on social media and wondering whether podcasting is worth it, this conversation will give you the push (and the practical strategy) you need. We also go deep on how to get better at podcast interviews, why you don't need massive download numbers to see real ROI, and how podcasting can fuel offers you haven't even launched yet. 🔑 What you'll learn in this episode: How Gilly turned Instagram Lives and Zoom interviews into a full podcast The one conversation that convinced her to make the leap to Apple and Spotify How a single podcast appearance led to a customer who's subscribed monthly for 5 years Why small podcast audiences can drive bigger business results than you think Tips for conducting deeper, more natural interviews as a podcast host How to stop overthinking your episodes after you hit publish How Gilly's podcast directly led to the launch of her Rockstar Collective coaching community Why hiring help and trusting your team is essential for multi-passionate entrepreneurs ⏱️ Timestamps: 00:00 – Meet Gilly: From Instagram Lives to a full podcast 03:12 – How a local magazine gig became Everyday Rockstars 06:35 – The conversation that made Gilly put her show on Apple and Spotify 07:40 – Repurposing content: How Instagram and podcast episodes work together 09:02 – The story behind Gilly's Organics and nearly 20 years of organic skincare 11:15 – How one podcast appearance created a five-year subscriber 12:05 – Why small download numbers can still drive big business results 14:48 – The hardest part of being an entrepreneur (and how to manage it) 17:05 – The biggest blessing of entrepreneurship: trusting yourself 19:28 – Tips for conducting better, deeper podcast interviews 22:16 – How to stop overthinking your episodes after you hit publish 23:34 – From podcasting to coaching: How the Rockstar Collective was born 27:20 – The power of hiring help and trusting your team 📌 Resources & Links: Join the Newsletter: https://www.podcastmarketinghub.com/subscribe Take the Podcast Growth Quiz: https://www.podcastmarketinghub.com/quiz Full Show Notes & Blog Post: https://www.podcastmarketinghub.com/podcast/gilly-everyday-rockstars Follow on Instagram: https://instagram.com/kyleejchandler 🔗 Connect with Gilly: Gilly's Organics: https://gillysorganics.com Instagram: https://instagram.com/everydayrockstars Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/gillysorganics 💬 Loved this episode? What if you didn’t have to rely on social media to grow your podcast, your email list, or your business? Because I know how many of you feel this right now… You’re showing up on Instagram. You’re trying to keep up with the algorithm. You’re posting consistently. And it still feels like a lot of effort for very little return. In this episode of Podcast Growth Tools , I’m sitting down with Tracy Beavers to talk about a different way to grow — one that feels more sustainable, more aligned, and honestly… a lot more doable. We’re breaking down how podcasting and email marketing work together to create real momentum in your business — without needing to constantly show up on social media or chase visibility. Because here’s the truth: Your email list is one of the most valuable assets in your business. And your podcast is one of the best ways to grow it. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed by marketing, unsure where to focus your energy, or like your efforts aren’t translating into real growth… this conversation will help you simplify everything. Your podcast listeners love you. They DM you about episodes. They reference things you said months ago. They binge your show and tell you how helpful it is. But your email list feels completely dead. Sound familiar? In this episode of Podcast Growth Tools , I’m breaking down a pattern I’m seeing with so many podcasters right now: loyal listeners… but quiet email lists. And the truth is — your podcast probably isn’t the problem. Podcasting builds passive trust . People listen while driving, walking, cooking, or folding laundry. They feel connected to you and your voice. But email requires a different kind of commitment. Someone has to stop what they’re doing, click a link, enter their email, confirm it, and then continue opening your messages. That shift from listener → subscriber is bigger than most podcasters realize. The good news? Once you understand what’s actually happening, it’s very fixable. In this episode, I’m sharing the exact shifts that help turn podcast listeners into engaged email subscribers and buyers — without needing a massive audience. Because your podcast and your email list shouldn’t be separate ecosystems. They should work together. In This Episode Why podcast listeners don’t automatically join email lists The real difference between podcast relationships and email systems The biggest mistake podcasters make with generic freebies Why “Join my newsletter” is usually not enough How misaligned opt-ins break the listener journey Why moving from podcast to email is a bigger leap than you think How to create intentional entry points from your episodes Using episode-specific resources to grow your email list Why your newsletter should feel like the next episode The metrics podcasters should track instead of list size Timestamps: 3:19 — Contrasting podcast trust with email list commitment and engagement 6:13 — Audience disengagement and the inevitability of quiet exit 9:25 — Episode-specific opt-ins and bundles boost conversion 12:11 — Promoting your newsletter as hub for free resources and guidance 14:54 — Measuring the right metrics beyond list size 16:31 — Adding value to newsletter CTAs to attract signups 17:57 — Post-signup touchpoints to maintain engagement 18:56 — Launching your podcast first, then grow email list If your podcast audience is loyal but your email list feels quiet, you don’t need to start over. You simply need better bridges between your podcast and your email list. When your email list becomes the natural next step after an episode, engagement starts to feel effortless — and your podcast becomes a true growth engine for your business. If your launches aren’t converting the way you hoped, the issue might not be your strategy. It might be your transformation messaging. In this episode of Podcast Growth Tools , I’m joined by marketing strategist Alice Zarka to talk about what’s really happening in the online marketing industry right now and why so many launches, digital courses, and coaching offers struggle to stand out in a crowded market. Alice has worked behind the scenes with some of the biggest creators in the online education space, helping scale digital courses, masterminds, and coaching programs to seven figures and beyond. In this conversation, she shares what she’s seeing across the industry right now including shifts in launch strategy, changes in lead generation, and the biggest messaging mistakes entrepreneurs and course creators are making when selling their offers. One of the most powerful insights from this conversation is simple but often overlooked. Most entrepreneurs are selling features, bonuses, and deliverables. But what actually converts is the transformation. We talk about why differentiation matters more than ever in today’s digital marketing landscape, how to create stronger product-market fit before scaling, and why many online launches underperform even when the strategy seems solid on paper. We also dive into how podcasts can support launch strategy and audience growth. From building trust with listeners to generating qualified leads and expanding your reach through collaborations, podcasting can play a powerful role in a modern marketing ecosystem. If you’re a podcaster, coach, course creator, or online entrepreneur trying to grow your audience, improve your launch strategy, and create offers that actually convert, this episode will help you rethink how you approach marketing. In This Episode: Why lack of differentiation is hurting many online marketing strategies The real reason some launches stall or fail to convert Why transformation messaging converts better than bonuses and features Are digital courses, masterminds, and bootcamps still effective today? Why audience growth between launches is essential for long-term business growth Lead generation strategies that are working right now in online marketing How partnerships, collaborations, and podcast guesting expand your reach The importance of product-market fit before scaling your offers What messaging frameworks are and how they shape effective marketing How podcasters can use their shows to support launches and sell offers Why dynamic podcast ads are an underused podcast growth and marketing strategy Timestamps 4:18 - Transformation as the core of business results 8:36 - Pivoting to one-day VIP day strategy 12:54 - Phased marketing approach: foundations, leads, scalable systems 17:11 - Don’t rely on single live launch; combine evergreen strategy 21:29 - Building networks and affiliates for launches 25:47 - Product-market fit and precise messaging 30:05 - Messaging frameworks and eight core hooks 34:23 - Using podcasts for launches with dynamic ads and swaps This episode is especially valuable if you’ve ever thought: “Why isn’t my launch converting like I expected?” “How do I stand out in a crowded online space?” “What messaging actually connects with my audience?” “How can I use my podcast to support my offers?” If that sounds familiar, you’re going to get a lot out of this conversation. 🔗 Explore podcast growth resources: https://www.podcastmarketinghub.com 📥 Grab the Free Podcast Growth Toolkit : https://www.podcastmarketinghub.com/free Treat your podcast like a product — and let it become one of the most powerful marketing assets in your business.
