For me - the relationship we have with food is at the very core of any fat loss journey, and the maintenance one that will follow fat loss. In the episode I talk about how to notice our thoughts and language around food, avoid the restrict / binge cycle, where our habits and associations with food come from, and how to move to a more positive, empowered place in our relationship with food. In the episode I talk about how important it is to manage expectation at the beginning, and throughout, our fat loss journey. Having an emotional reaction to scale fluctuations on the day to day is one of the most common reasons we give up on fat loss. In the episode I want to give you the basic information as to why, even when we are in a calorie deficit, the scales don't always move down every day. (Although in a deficit they definitely will over time!) Knowledge is empowerment, and when we are empowered, we can move to a more logical, informed reaction to scale spikes- and that is what will lead to long term consistency and sustainability on our journey towards our goal. Hope this helps, DM me on Instagram, lisaanne_campbell with any questions and/or thoughts. Enjoy ❤️
In this episode I explain as simply as I can what a calorie deficit actually is and why we need to be in one if we want to lose body fat. Understanding this evidence based principle of fat loss is the foundation to implementing the actions we need to take to lose fat - and one that I never really got the hang of despite all the years of dieting in the past. I hope this helps and if you have any questions at all, dm me on Instagram, lisaanne_campbell and I'll answer as best I can. Hope you find this helpful ❤️

In this episode I talk about the various things that stop us starting our fat loss journey. Even though we want to start, and have a real desire to start, things like limiting beliefs, self sabotage and overwhelm can stand in our way and really scupper our intention to take action. I talk through these and some others, how to catch them, challenge them and get going on the road to achieving our goals. I hope you enjoy and find this helpful, drop a comment or Dm me on Instagram lisaanne_campbell and thanks so much for listening ❤️
In this episode I take a look at some of the realities we need to face in terms of undertaking a fat loss journey. I am a big exponent of the need to be kind to ourselves and the importance of finding self compassion on the way, but the reality is, fat loss, while not complicated, isn't always easy. Choices and sacrifices will need to be made, a little restriction is necessary, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy the journey too. Getting really clear not only on our why and on what we want, but also on what we are willing to do, and not willing to do to achieve our goal, is the best and most real place to begin. Hope you enjoy, and thanks for listening. ❤️

In this episode I was delighted to speak with Luke Murray, an incredible physiotherapist who has such a refreshing and holistic approach to how best to manage and treat pain and injury. We talked about when and how we can judge if it is wise to push through pain, why it is important to move our bodies, learning to trust our bodies, even if we have been neglecting them for a while and why being overweight, in and of itself, is never a good enough reason for a diagnosis. And he answers some of your questions! Luke also shared his own really interesting story with injury and pain as a younger man, his fascinating work as a physio and his decision to then study medicine. Luke's Instagram page is full of brilliant information and details of how to contact him. Thanks so much Luke, it was a pleasure to hear your knowledge and words of wisdom.
