The Green Bay Packers won a football game on Thursday Night, beating the Carolina Panthers 27-19, but that's not what most of Wisconsin is talking about this morning. On Friday, the Milwaukee Brewers have their World Series championship parade after winning the franchise's first title on Wednesday night. Tex is flying solo in this edition of the Repack, breaking down Green Bay's win, but congrats to the Brewers and all of our fellow Brewers fans out there for a truly transcendent year. Go Pack Go, and Let's Go Brewers! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
On a new RAE, Matt, Paul and Tyler talk about the Packers-Lions game, but mostly watch game five of the World Series. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The guys try to keep complaining about the refs to a tidy 6 minutes. It doesn’t go well. But they do manage to talk about the game itself, which the Green Bay Packers lost to the Detroit Lions, before moving on to a look ahead at Thursday Night Football at Lambeau Field. After a few weeks of general competence, the Green Bay Packers are back to their stupid, sloppy ways of early in the season. Between drops, bad offensive line play, sloppy penalties, and a suspect kicking game, it's like we're back where we started. Tex and Justis break down the Packers' 20-17 loss to the Lions and take the officials and the NFL to task for the constant, ongoing problems with officiating. The Packers certainly blew more than enough chances to win this game all on their own, to be sure, but the men in stripes certainly didn't help their cause by calling an even game. Now 4-3, the Packers are still in the playoff hunt but they need to get some issues fixed quickly with Thursday Night Football on deck. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The Green Bay Packers handled the Dallas Cowboys relatively easily on Sunday despite poor offensive line play, dropped passes, and no help from the refs. We take stock of the Packers turnaround and look ahead to the upcoming division matchup against the Detroit Lions 06:59 — Packers-Cowboys: Jordan Love shines, OL remains a concern 15:06 — Jonathan Gannon is a crafty SOB 21:12 — Roughing, taunting, and the NFL’s officiating problem 28:56 — Degenerate Corner and Lions preview Follow us: BlueSky Instagram Donate: Patreon ————— The UnPack Podcast is an independent podcast about the Green Bay Packers, covering game recaps, roster news, analysis, and general chicanery every week during the season. On a new Reporting as Eligible the guys discuss the impressive Packer win over Dallas and Rashan Gary, but also touch on the drops, the running game, and the incredibly intrusive officiating. Plus Matt and JR actually meet, and listener questions! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Dak Prescott who? The Green Bay Packers made the Dallas Cowboys' offense look like a shell of itself on Sunday Night Football, getting a bit 23-13 victory that could have easily been a bigger win than that. Tex and Justis break down the impressive victory that sends the Packers to 4-2 as they look like a totally different team that sputtered out to a 1-2 start to the season. Thumbs up go to Evan Williams and Jordan Love while we give thumbs down to the refs once again as Craig Wrolstad's crew had a really rough game. It's a W for the good guys though as the defense is really starting to stack good games up heading into the middle part of the season. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Paul discusses the delay, the Bears, the salary cap, the Cowboys, and Matt being smart. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Regrouping after the Packers walloped the Bears 31-7 in an absolute laser show from Jordan Love. We also look ahead to the Packers' upcoming SNF matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. 00:09 — Packers 31, Bears 7: Finally, a game we could enjoy 00:18 — Matt LaFleur takes the gloves off: The impact of an aggressive game plan 00:27 — Ben Johnson is doing too much — and the Packers noticed 00:30 — Degenerate Corner Hosted on Acast. Jordan Love had an epic, historic day in the Green Bay Packers' 31-7 victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday, and The Repack is here to break it down. Tex and Justis look at his incredible day passing, the Packers' defense completely stifling the Bears offense, and Matt LaFleur putting Ben Johnson on tilt. Isn't it nice to have a largely stress-free football game? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The guys regroup after a Packers road win over the Buccaneers that saw an improved offensive line and a slightly more functional offense. Then, they look ahead to Packers Bears with an attempt at optimism. 00:14 — Packers-Bucs: OL improvements and a more comfortable looking Jordan Love 00:22 — The Great Enigma: What exactly is Matt LaFleur's personality? 00:30 — Why Alex is actually excited for Packers-Bears 00:40 — Degenerate Corner: Can Kaleb Johnson run for 32 yards? Wanna bet? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
On this week's Reporting as Eligible, Paul and Matt discuss the game, the injuries, the fallout, and the future without Edgerrin Cooper, but also Marcus Robinson and the tall receivers of the 90s and early 2000s, the NFL's penalty problem, Pat Murphy as football coach archetype, freely available running backs, and of course, listener questions! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The Repack is back after a rather uninspiring 17-14 win for the Green Bay Packers over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tex breaks down the game, which was both frustrating and devastating even as the team got its record back to .500 at 2-2. Edgerrin Cooper is done for the year with a torn ACL and the Packers tried their hardest to give away another lead with a pair of 4th-quarter turnovers, but the Bucs were too bad to take advantage as Green Bay came away with a win. But at least the offensive line was better than "historically bad"! Tex Western breaks down the Week 4 game with an eye on next Sunday's rivalry clash with the Chicago Bears looming on the horizon as we get the week underway. Hosted on Acast. While Nick is off in wedding land, Zach and Alex welcome Justis Mosqueda (Acme Packing Company) to the pod to help shed light on the Packers offensive line. What is going wrong? Can Kevin Zeitler and recent additions make a difference? 00:05 — What does the Packers' offensive-line panic say about Ed Policy’s style? 00:08 — Scheme change is to blame 00:26 — Why didn't the Packers sign Kevin Zeitler sooner? 00:32 — Jordan Love is playing through football's maximum difficulty 00:35 — Jayden Reed heads to IR after neck injury 00:39 — Degenerate Corner: Reviewing last week's bets Hosted on Acast. On a new Reporting as Eligible, Paul, JR, and Matub discuss the new acquisitions on the offensive line and how they might fit, or might now. Was the defense bad or just tired? Does it matter? Is it more Matt, or Gute? Does Fountains of Wayne only have one song? Does Soul Asylum? And also, listener questions and Brian Finneran. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Nick, Zach, and Alex gather after the Packers OT win over the New York Jets and pour one out for Zach Bako Bewele and Jayden Reed. We talk OL woes, the impressiveness of the defense so far, and prop bets ahead of Falcons at Packers on Thursday Night Football. 00:11 — ZBB/Reed injuries and MetLife turf talk. 00:23 — Is the Packers' offensive line hopeless? 00:32 — Jonathan Gannon's defense is actually fun 00:42 — Taunting calls: why they suck! 00:48 — Degenerate Corner Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
On a new Reporting as Eligible, the full cast discusses the frankly uninspiring win over the Jets, but they are all inspired by Caleb Williams' incredible recovery from a Grade One Hamstring. They're also inspired by Lukas Van Ness, who is awesome, and the safeties, Cooper, all pretty great too! And Sky Moore! But there is still much woe on the o-line, and questions a plenty about what, exactly Matt does here. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
We truncated Keith's question, so here's the answer! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The Green Bay Packers finally won a game for the first time since early December, and they did so in one of the weirdest games imaginable. Evan "Tex" Western and Justis Mosqueda take you through the comeback, which is just the third double-digit comeback victory in the last three-plus seasons for this team. They couldn't have done it without Lukas Van Ness' star turn, but also Skyy Moore's late-game heroics were an essential part, something that we didn't really see coming. Where does this team go from here now that Jayden Reed and Zach Bako-Bewele are out for the foreseeable future? Tune in to find out. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Week one came and went like a wet fart for the Green Bay Packers, and the guys have gathered to break it all down. We jump to conclusions and lick our wounds before looking for positives and engaging in some light fictional gambling. 10:00 — How hot is Matt LaFleur's seat? 14:00 — Is the OL officially this year's Chekhov's gun 22:00 — The psychology of momentum 36:00 — Finding some Packers positivity 49:00 — Degenerate corner: last weeks results and props for Packers at Jets Hosted on Acast.
