The Trainer Trio begins with its first official cycling race before setting out on its longest Hoenn journey yet—from Rusturf Tunnel to the volcanic slopes of Mt. Chimney. Along the way, the Trio battles the Winstrate family, builds its first Secret Bases, collects volcanic ash, explores Meteor Falls, and gets caught between Team Aqua and Team Magma as both organizations attempt to weaponize a meteorite. Caspian’s investigation also deepens as he realizes he is no longer chasing a strange storm—he is chasing the people creating it. After Dustin responds to five whiteouts by arriving with a level-32 Crobat, the Trio challenges Flannery for the Heat Badge. Then, their upgraded teams enter the fourth round of Hoenn Battles. Can anyone finally end Sean’s undefeated streak? Here are the results of our Pokémon showdown Hoenn battles: Rustboro City: Sean 2-0 | Chris 1-1 | Dustin 0-2 Dewford Town: Sean 2-0 | Chris 0-2 | Dustin 1-1 Mauville City: Sean 2-0 | Chris 1-1 | Dustin 0-2 Total Hoenn Battle Record: Sean 6-0 | Chris 2-4 | Dustin 1-5 Timecodes: • 0:00 The Start • 0:40 Episode Overview • 1:19 Cycling Path Times • 3:04 Rusturf Tunnel • 8:16 Trick House • 10:11 Route 111: Winstrate Family • 12:39 What Are EVs? • 15:13 Route 112 • 17:57 Fiery Path • 18:31 Ability Highlight: White Smoke • 23:39 Route 113 • 28:34 Fallarbor Town • 33:50 Route 114 • 35:21 Pokédex Highlight: Seviper • 38:49 Meteor Falls • 50:44 Pokédex Highlight: Spoink • 51:51 Lavaridge Town • 53:09 PokéStats • 57:17 Flannery • 1:02:05 Hoenn Battles • 1:02:36 Chris vs. Sean • 1:06:18 Sean vs. Dustin • 1:08:56 Chris vs. Dustin • 1:11:23 The End Contact us @ • YouTube: @TheTrainerTrioPodcast • Email: TheTrainerTrioPodcast@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. It is Season 3, Episode 3, starring three trainers—which apparently makes this the official Triple Trainer Trio special. The celebration budget was spent entirely on Soda Pops. The Trio sails into Slateport City, explores its seaside market, and delivers the Devon Goods while Team Aqua and Team Magma argue over whether Hoenn has too much land or too much water. From there, they tackle the Trick House, survive a surprisingly dangerous rival battle, and finally receive their bikes in Mauville City. Along the way, Sean continues sacrificing hours of his life to rare Pokémon encounters and Dustin discovers that Wattson’s Electric-type Gym is considerably harder when your strategy begins with Aron. After earning the Dynamo Badge, the Trio enters its third round of Hoenn Battles. Can Chris and Dustin finally slow Sean down, or will his undefeated opening continue? Here are the results of our Pokémon showdown Hoenn battles: Rustboro City: Sean 2-0 | Chris 1-1 | Dustin 0-2 Dewford Town: Sean 2-0 | Chris 0-2 | Dustin 1-1 Total Hoenn Battle Record: Sean 4-0 | Chris 1-3 | Dustin 1-3 Timecodes: • 0:00 The Start • 0:31 Episode Overview • 2:05 Slateport Beach • 7:35 Slateport City • 17:17 Ability Highlight: Rough Skin • 20:33 Route 110 • 22:44 Ability Highlight: Plus & Minus • 23:41 Trick Master’s House • 25:20 Rival Battle • 29:09 Mauville City • 34:47 Route 117 • 37:00 Pokédex Highlight: Surskit • 37:31 Pokédex Highlight: Illumise • 39:34 Verdanturf Town • 42:03 PokéStats • 45:32 Wattson • 51:30 Hoenn Battles • 52:16 Chris vs. Sean • 54:40 Dustin vs. Sean • 56:47 Chris vs. Dustin • 1:00:50 The End Contact us @ • YouTube: @TheTrainerTrioPodcast • Email: TheTrainerTrioPodcast@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. The Trainer Trio leaves Rustboro City behind to recover the stolen Devon Goods, rescue Peeko, and set sail for Dewford Town—where apparently everyone immediately adopts whatever phrase is trending that afternoon. Along the way, Sean spends roughly a geological era searching for Skitty, the Trio explores Granite Cave without using Flash, and Steven makes an unusually confident prediction about their Pokémon League potential. New discoveries include Aron, Sableye, several useful abilities, and the realization that bringing a Steel/Rock-type Pokémon into a Fighting-type Gym may not be the tactical masterstroke it sounds like. After challenging Brawly for the Knuckle Badge, the Trio enters its second round of Hoenn Battles. With 2 of the Trio both bringing Ralts and Taillow, two Pokémon are now on the line in the same showdown. Who will leave Dewford with their team intact? The Trainer Trio finally begins its Hoenn adventure—after their original recording is claimed by Sean’s full computer storage. Chris chooses Torchic in Pokémon Ruby, Dustin takes Treecko in Pokémon Sapphire, and Sean somehow receives the incredibly powerful Mudkip in Pokémon Emerald. Along the road from Littleroot Town to Rustboro City, the Trio introduces their new trainers, catches its first Hoenn Pokémon, encounters Team Aqua and Team Magma, and discovers just how useful five Zigzagoon can apparently be. The journey ends with Roxanne and the Stone Badge, but not everyone escapes the first Gym without a whiteout. Then, the opening Hoenn Battles put their new teams—and ownership of Shroomish—on the line. Who will begin the season on top, and whose Hoenn campaign already needs a new strategy? The Trainer Trio is setting sail for Hoenn—but first, they need enough rules to prevent the season from becoming six over leveled Water-types and a strategy guide. Chris takes on Pokémon Ruby, Dustin ventures into Pokémon Sapphire, and Sean attempts to reclaim his Pokémon Master throne in Pokémon Emerald. Before choosing their starters, the Trio breaks down Season 3’s updated team rules, their one-shot Battle Tower challenge, locked-out Pokémon selections, and a mysterious exception to the no-legendaries rule. They also revisit their growing Ultimate Teams, discuss the major changes introduced in Generation 3, and share the childhood memories that made Hoenn special—including lost cartridges, level-100 starters, and the origin of BlazenRuby. The starters remain secret until Episode 1, but the competition has already begun.
