Ranked Top 2% Globally Do you wish that you could lead your team in a way that honours and glorifies God? Are you struggling to overcome self-doubt as a leader and have a desire to be more confident in your role? Do you want the courage to deal with difficult people but don’t want to upset anyone? Well, you’re in the right place! On this podcast, I’ll teach you how to lead like Jesus, even if you’re not allowed to speak of your faith in your workplace. You’ll learn to become bold and confident as a leader, to speak up and say what God wants you to say and to finally know that you are worthy to be in your current role. Because God chose you, not because you are already a perfect leader, but because HE wants to mold you and use you to be an instrument in the kingdom of God. Hey, I’m Rika, and for the past 10 years, I’ve been in middle-management leadership roles, where I have led various teams, from big to small, and experienced my fair share of working with difficult people, having tough conversations, hiring and firing people and managing team dynamics. I thought that I could rely on worldly knowledge of leadership to get me through. I attended various leadership courses and listened to many leadership podcasts, but I was still struggling as a leader. I was feeling frustrated and to be honest, I was not enjoying my leadership role and felt like quitting more often than I probably should have! I finally realised that if I wanted to be the leader that I truly desired to be (which was a leader who wasn’t shy to speak up, a leader who honoured God with her actions and a leader who could build a cohesive team without the drama), I needed to partner with God and find a Christian leadership mentor to guide me and keep me accountable. I committed my leadership journey to God and partnered with HIM. I started working with a mentor and stepped out in faith as I did hard things every single day. And I can’t wait to share what I’ve learned with you! If you’re ready to lead your team in a way that honours God, I’m excited to be your mentor! So much of the stress leaders carry isn’t because their team is difficult… it’s because expectations haven’t been made clear. In this episode, we unpack one of the most common — and overlooked — leadership challenges: unclear expectations. If you’ve ever felt frustrated, repeated yourself, or wondered why things aren’t being done the way you expected, this conversation will bring clarity and relief. Because leadership becomes significantly lighter when people know exactly what’s expected of them. In This Episode we explore: • why unclear expectations create stress, frustration, and repeated issues • the hidden cost of “being nice” instead of being clear • why your team may not be meeting expectations (even when they’re capable) • how assumptions create confusion in leadership • the difference between vague direction and clear leadership • how setting expectations early prevents difficult conversations later You’ll walk away with practical, simple shifts you can apply immediately to lead with greater clarity and less emotional strain. A Simple Leadership Shift: People can’t consistently meet expectations that were never clearly set. Clarity isn’t harsh. Clarity is leadership. Ready to Communicate with Confidence? If setting expectations or having these conversations feels uncomfortable or unclear, you don’t have to figure it out on your own. The Difficult Conversations Script Pack will help you: • know exactly what to say in real leadership situations • communicate clearly without over-explaining or softening your message • set expectations with calm, professional authority • handle difficult moments without second-guessing yourself Because confidence doesn’t come from personality, it comes from preparation. Many Christian leaders don’t struggle because they don’t care… They struggle because they care deeply and quietly believe that doing more is what God expects of them. In this episode, I’m joined by Kerry Iannone, Christian life and wellbeing coach, as we unpack one of the most subtle but dangerous lies in leadership: That your value comes from how much you do. In This Episode We talk about: • why burnout is often rooted in identity, not just time management • how the belief “doing more pleases God” quietly leads to exhaustion • the hidden pressure many women carry to be everything for everyone • why high-capacity, caring leaders are especially vulnerable to burnout • the signs of burnout, including exhaustion, resentment, and loss of joy • how overcommitting and struggling to say no contributes to burnout • the difference between being and doing in your identity as a Christian leader • why your calendar often reveals what you truly prioritise • how to identify what is life-giving vs life-draining in your leadership • the importance of rhythms, not perfection, in your walk with God • how to reconnect with joy, peace, and clarity in your leadership A Core Leadership Truth: You are not valuable because of what you do. You are valuable because of who you are in Christ. Burnout doesn’t always look the way we expect. Sometimes it looks like loving your job… but slowly losing yourself in it. Sometimes it looks like saying “I’m fine”… while quietly falling apart. And sometimes it shows up in your body before you even recognise it in your mind. In this episode, I’m joined by Carolon Donnally, Burnout Prevention Strategist and former Head of Leadership Coaching at the IRS, who shares both her personal journey with burnout and the leadership patterns that often lead women there. Together, we explore how burnout develops over time, why high-capacity leaders are often the most at risk, and what it looks like to build a leadership life that is sustainable, healthy, and aligned with God. In This Episode We talk about: • the early warning signs of burnout (including physical symptoms many leaders ignore) • how burnout can progress into emotional and even clinical exhaustion if left unaddressed • why high-achieving, responsible leaders are often the most vulnerable to burnout • the hidden patterns that create burnout — including people-pleasing and over-responsibility • how work can subtly become an identity or even an idol • why saying “I’m fine” can mask deeper struggles • the importance of recognising emotional and physical signals early • how leaders can better support their teams and identify burnout risks • why burnout is not just an individual issue — but also an organisational one • the powerful question every leader should ask: “At what cost is this getting done?” A Key Leadership Shift - Burnout isn’t always a sign you’re doing something wrong — but it is a signal that something needs to change. Sustainable leadership requires: • boundaries • self-awareness • identity rooted in Christ • and the wisdom to pause when needed About Carolon Donnally Carolon Donnally is a Burnout Prevention Strategist and speaker who equips women of faith and leadership to break free from the cycle of overwork and exhaustion. What if the behaviour you’re seeing… isn’t the real issue? In this powerful and deeply meaningful conversation, I’m joined by Dr Melanie Gray to explore what it truly looks like to lead people with compassion, discernment, and Christlike understanding. Together, we unpack how trauma — both personal and generational — can shape the way people think, respond, and show up in the workplace. And more importantly, how as Christian leaders, we are called to see beyond behaviour… and lead with the heart of God. This episode will gently challenge the way you view difficult people and remind you that leadership is not just about performance — it’s about people, healing, and creating environments where others feel safe enough to grow. In This Episode We explore: • what trauma-informed leadership actually means in everyday leadership • how past experiences can shape present behaviour • why resistance, disengagement, or emotional reactions are often rooted in pain • the importance of self-awareness and emotional intelligence as a leader • how to lead with compassion without losing clarity or authority • what it looks like to create safe, healing environments in your team • why leadership is ultimately a form of ministry A Key Leadership Truth: What looks like difficult behaviour is often unhealed pain. And when you begin to see people through God’s eyes, your leadership shifts from frustration… to understanding. Many leaders want to create a positive, supportive workplace culture. But sometimes in the effort to keep things harmonious, something important quietly disappears: accountability. When expectations are not addressed clearly and difficult conversations are delayed, teams can slowly drift into patterns where problems repeat, standards drop, and frustration builds beneath the surface. The truth is that healthy accountability is not about criticism or micromanagement. It is about creating a culture where people understand expectations, take responsibility for their work, and trust that issues will be addressed with wisdom and fairness. In this episode, we explore what healthy accountability really looks like in a Christ-centred leadership context and how leaders can begin strengthening this culture within their teams. In This Episode We discuss: • Why accountability is often misunderstood in leadership • How avoiding difficult conversations quietly weakens team culture • The role clarity plays in creating healthy accountability • Why accountability should be a normal part of leadership, not a rare intervention • How addressing issues early protects both relationships and team morale • The courage required to lead conversations that create alignment and growth You will also learn why accountability is not about control, but about protecting the health, clarity, and integrity of the team. Have you ever walked away from a leadership moment and thought: "I knew exactly what I should have said… but I didn’t say it." Many capable leaders experience this frustrating gap between knowing what good leadership looks like and actually responding that way in the moment. You replay the conversation later. You think of the words you wish you had said. You wonder whether you handled the situation correctly. The truth is, this struggle is far more common than most leaders realise. The challenge usually isn’t a lack of wisdom. It’s the pressure of the moment. When emotions are high, when someone becomes defensive, or when the situation feels tense, even experienced leaders can hesitate, soften what needs to be said, or delay a conversation entirely. This is what I call the consistency gap — the space between what you know is wise and what you actually say or do in the moment. In this episode, we explore why this gap happens and how leaders can begin closing it through preparation, clarity, and Christ-centred leadership wisdom. In This Episode We discuss: • Why even experienced leaders hesitate in difficult conversations • How emotional pressure affects leadership decisions • The hidden burden of carrying responsibility for everyone else’s emotions • Why delaying conversations often makes situations worse • How preparation helps leaders respond with calm authority instead of reacting emotionally You’ll learn why confident leadership is rarely about personality or boldness. Instead, it grows from clarity, preparation, and wisdom grounded in Scripture. Prepare for the Difficult Conversation You’ve Been Avoiding If there’s a conversation you know you need to have — but you keep putting it off — I want to invite you to join the Confident Conversation Sprint. 📅 May 25–29, 2026 This is a 5-day guided experience designed to help you prepare for one difficult conversation you’ve been avoiding. Have you ever walked away from a leadership conversation and thought, “Why did I say it like that?” Or maybe the opposite — you didn’t say what needed to be said at all. Communication becomes far more complicated when leadership, expectations, and emotions are involved. Even very capable leaders can struggle to express difficult messages clearly without sounding harsh, apologetic, or uncertain. In this episode, we unpack five common communication mistakes that even smart, thoughtful leaders make — especially when navigating difficult conversations with their teams. You’ll learn why these mistakes happen, how they quietly weaken your leadership authority, and what it looks like to communicate with clarity while still leading with grace. In this episode, you’ll learn: Why communication becomes harder when leadership pressure and emotion are involved The most common mistake leaders make before a difficult conversation even begins How over-softening your message can unintentionally create confusion Why over-explaining often signals insecurity in leadership communication The danger of delaying conversations that need to happen sooner How preparation helps you stay calm and clear in emotionally charged moments If difficult conversations sometimes leave you replaying what you said — or wishing you had said something differently — this episode will help you begin approaching those moments with greater clarity and confidence. Next Step: Difficult Conversations Script Pack If difficult conversations are one of the areas where you often think, "I know what needs to be said… I just don’t know how to say it well," I created something specifically to help with that. What does it actually look like to bring your faith into leadership… in a way that is natural, consistent, and deeply impactful? In this episode, I’m joined by Matt Clarke, President and Chief Operations Officer of Churchill Mortgage Corporation, who shares a powerful and practical example of what faith-led leadership can look like in the workplace. What began as a simple practice — writing and sending daily devotionals to his team — has grown into something that has shaped culture, encouraged employees, and impacted people far beyond the organisation. This conversation will help you see that integrating faith into leadership doesn’t have to be complicated or forced. Sometimes, it’s the small, consistent acts of obedience that create the greatest impact. In This Episode We explore: • how Matt began writing daily devotionals for his team • why consistency matters more than perfection in faith-led leadership • how personal stories can connect deeply with people in the workplace • the impact of bringing Scripture into everyday leadership moments • how devotionals have shaped the culture at Churchill Mortgage • what it looks like to lead with faith without being performative or pushy • how simple spiritual practices can influence how people show up at work and at home A Key Leadership Truth: You don’t need a platform to influence people — you need consistency. Small, faithful leadership habits practiced daily can shape culture in ways you may not immediately see. About Matt Clarke Matt Clarke is the President and Chief Operations Officer of Churchill Mortgage Corporation, a nationally recognised mortgage company based in Brentwood, Tennessee. With over 25 years of experience in the financial and mortgage industry, Matt has played a key role in transforming Churchill from a mortgage broker into a mortgage banking institution, while overseeing its day-to-day operations. Beyond his operational leadership, Matt is deeply passionate about integrating faith into the workplace. Through his daily devotionals — drawn from personal life experiences and anchored in Scripture — he has created a culture of encouragement, reflection, and spiritual growth that extends across teams and customers nationwide. Hope in the Grind 90 Days of Biblical Encouragement for Faith, Work, and Life Matt Clarke with Sherri Gragg | Author | Speaker Matt Clarke never planned to write a devotional. Pressure doesn’t create your leadership — it reveals it. And when the expectations are high, the demands are constant, and everyone is looking to you for answers, it can feel incredibly hard to stay calm, grounded, and Christlike. In this episode, we look closely at how Jesus led under pressure — not in quiet moments, but in conflict, exhaustion, misunderstanding, and chaos. You’ll discover practical, faith-filled ways to lead with steadiness instead of reactivity, and how to stay anchored in who God says you are when leadership feels heavy. In this episode, you’ll learn: Why pressure doesn’t mean you’re failing — it means you’re leading How Jesus modelled calm, Spirit-led leadership in high-pressure moments Why slowing down is often the wisest leadership move How to stop absorbing everyone else’s emotions How to set Christlike boundaries without guilt How to stay anchored in your identity instead of public opinion Next Step If pressure has been making you doubt yourself, react emotionally, or second-guess your decisions, you don’t have to lead through it alone. The Imposter Syndrome Blueprint is a Scripture-rooted private podcast designed to help Christian women lead with calm, Christ-centred confidence — even in their hardest seasons. 👉 womenoffaithinleadership.com/blueprint
Every leader has at least one person who tests their patience, confidence, and faith. The one who challenges every decision, pushes your buttons, or makes leadership feel heavier than it should. In this episode, we explore a hard but freeing truth: sometimes the very people you’re praying God would remove are the ones He’s using to grow you. Not because their behaviour is right — but because God develops strong, Spirit-led leaders through pressure, tension, and challenge. This is an honest, faith-filled conversation about boundaries, confidence, discernment, and leadership maturity — and how God uses difficult relationships to refine the leader you’re becoming. In this episode, you’ll learn: Why difficult people often reveal growth, not failure How challenging relationships strengthen boundaries, confidence, and clarity What God may be developing in you through uncomfortable leadership moments How to respond with wisdom instead of frustration or self-doubt How to lead like Jesus when people stretch you emotionally and spiritually Next Step If difficult people have been draining your confidence or making you question your leadership, you don’t have to navigate that alone. Most leaders can recognise a toxic culture when they walk into one — but far fewer realise how easily they may be unintentionally contributing to it themselves. In this episode, we explore five subtle, often well-intentioned leadership patterns that quietly reinforce unhealthy culture, especially for Christian women who want to lead with kindness, grace, and compassion. From avoiding conflict to softening communication and over-functioning for others, these habits don’t come from bad leadership — they come from caring deeply. This episode isn’t about blame or shame. It’s about awareness, clarity, and learning how to lead culture with confidence instead of absorbing it. In this episode, you’ll learn: Why toxic culture isn’t always caused by toxic people How kindness without clarity can unintentionally create confusion and dysfunction The leadership patterns that quietly weaken trust, safety, and accountability What Christ-centred, Spirit-led leadership looks like when culture feels hard How to shift from people-pleasing to confident, healthy leadership Next Step If this episode stirred self-doubt or made you question whether you’re “leading well enough,” you’re not alone. The Imposter Syndrome Blueprint is a short, faith-filled private podcast designed to help Christian women lead with clarity, confidence, and Christ-anchored authority — especially when navigating culture, conflict, and difficult people. 👉 womenoffaithinleadership.com/blueprint
