The fight card breakdown starts here. Over the next run of episodes Knuckles and Zak go fight by fight through Podcast Royale 3.0 , two fights an episode, and it kicks off with a couple of rippers. First up, Josh 'Bluey' Neilson from Daily Blue Weekly takes on Jared 'The Judge' Purcell from the Broken Fathers Podcast . Bluey went 1-0 at the first Podcast Royale and the boys have trained with him, so they're leaning his way, straight punches, grounded, solid unit. Then Knuckles drops the twist. Purcell's ex-army and looks an absolute weapon. Zak reckons if he walked into a pub and had to pick one to fight off looks alone, he's picking Bluey every day of the week. Then the opener that could set the tone for the whole night. Reigning champ Aaron Gocs from Have A Yarn With Me against The Moose from the Two Flogs Podcast , and Moose is calling it Buster's Redemption. Gocs got the KO first year and has got that mongrel in him, a bit of musk rat, a bit of dog. The problem is nobody's ever seen Gox get whopped, whereas Moose can clearly land and take one after that war with Quino. Both boys are tipping the Moose. Plus Knuckles is trying to get Mr Row Row himself in to lead the Viking clap for Moose's walkout, with Travis Fimmel on standby as backup. 🎟️ Tickets at alpha-events.com.au. This year the Friday night press conference and live show are included in your Fight Night ticket. ⚠️ Explicit content. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Part 2 with Zak Palmas in the guest chair, and he's finally spilling the Japan yarns Knuckles has been making him save for the mic. The boys start with how they actually met, working side by side in the mines, ripping on people and talking about starting a podcast years before it happened. Zak reckons watching Knuckles network his way through life is what finally taught him it's not what you know, it's who you know. Then Japan. Seven trips, one stint living in Hakuba at 21 and thinking he was invincible. Working as a cleaner, skipping breakfast and lunch, snowboarding straight off shift, then sitting in the onsen dehydrated with nothing in the tank. It caught up with him at the Highland Hotel where he blacked out getting out of the hot tub and came to on the floor, butt naked, surrounded by naked blokes trying to help, and completely lost the plot before realising what had happened. Plus the kei truck era. Seven blokes in the tray drifting through Echoland, blokes nearly falling out, ending up buried in the snow. Then the night he got so blind he couldn't work out how to lock the hubs in, fell out of the ute, spent twenty minutes searching the snow for a key that was sitting in the ignition, and walked five k's home in a blizzard. Then rang his boss and told him it got stolen. ⚠️ Explicit content. #propertrueyarn 📞 Get involved🎤 Send a voice message to the boys. Knuckles and Zak get Cam Hay from Mustr Racing on the phone for a quick one ahead of Buckeye’s first race start at the Gold Coast this weekend. Cam reckons the horse is flying. Two trials, two wins, and he still hasn’t been out of second gear. First trial he jumped, went to the front and stuck it in first the whole way. Second trial they went quicker, he had to absorb pressure, they clicked him up a gear and he flew away from them. There’s four more gears in there. The bit that gives Cam the most confidence is Corey Munce ringing him to say he won’t let anyone else near the horse. He’s my horse now. Walks around the stable like he owns the place and has shown them plenty in track work. The boys also talk about what the Cold Brew win was actually like on the day, blokes who met a couple of hours earlier hugging and crying by the finish, and Cam reckons it’s one of the greatest moments of his life. The plan is to double it second or third up with a proper owners day on track. 🐎 Shares still available at musrracing.com or the Mustr app on iOS and Android. ⚠️ Explicit content. The tables turn. After years behind the camera and in the producer's chair, Zak Palmas finally sits down as the guest, and Knuckles gets the yarn out of him. Zak breaks down his Podcast Royale fight against Matty Brown from the inside. His wife was pregnant and stuck at home with morning sickness. His trainer bailed to chase a world title. One of Australia's best boxers was meant to be in his corner and never showed. So Zak sat out the back of the Gold Coast Convention Centre completely alone, sweating bullets, watching Matty and his crew laugh around the corner, seriously considering walking out the door. The lead-up was a disaster too. Got married, did his buck's party, wrecked his ankle at said buck's party, went on his honeymoon, and rocked up to fight night on five weeks of training. Then he walked out in front of 5,500 people, a bloke who's spent his whole career as the back of someone's head on a camera, and realised it's nothing like sparring. Matty was southpaw. Zak had never sparred a southpaw in his life. His mate Yungu just kept screaming go left, go left. He got the W. He still reckons Matty won it. And now Knuckles is trying to convince him to do it all again! ⚠️ Explicit content. 📞 Get involved🎤 Send a voice message to the boys. Part 9, the final one with Geordie Lillis from Creators of Awesome, and it's the guest questions round. Four days deep into podcasting and Geordie's cooked, but he still delivers. He doesn't want anyone's autograph because he walks away from every shoot with a video of that person instead, which he reckons is worth more. No idols either, just running his own race, and the novelty of rubbing shoulders with Chris Hemsworth and Max Verstappen wears off quicker than you'd think. His biggest fuck-up is a good one. Eighteen hour shoot on the back of fourteen straight days, back at the accommodation copying two terabytes off twelve cards, so cooked he hit Control X instead of Control C and wiped half a card of factory footage they only had one day of access to. Call it thirty to a hundred grand, gone in a silent keystroke. Plus the Tag Heuer after-party at the Melbourne Grand Prix in a $30 million house that looks completely normal from the street until the entire front yard lifts up on hydraulics and you drive down a spiral ramp into a Tony Stark supercar lair with Peking Duk playing. And the reason the Prince of Johor has a collection of white albino alligators, which is that you can't legally export alligators from the States, but apparently an albino one doesn't count as an alligator. Part 8 with Geordie Lillis from Creators of Awesome, and it's all travel yarns. Geordie's held a camera in more countries than most people visit in a lifetime. Sitting on top of Table Mountain in Cape Town, which he points out is a fair way from Dalby. Nights out in Piss Alley in Shinjuku, where three streets are packed with about 150 tiny family-run bars that fit three patrons each and some won't even let tourists in. Then Malaysia. Filming a vehicle announcement with the princes of Johor, wrapped in the afternoon, and found a 24 hour go-kart track. There's a bar at the track and they do not care how full you are. Started pissing down rain, the whole place was theirs, staff jumped in karts and started chucking buckets of water on the track so the boys could do drifties at midnight. And the big one. First trip out of Australia at 23, on a Contiki with 14 Aussie blokes in the Austrian ski town of Hopfgarten. Dead bar, a house drink called a fruit salad, a Stratocaster on the stage, and the moment Geordie started playing Highway to Hell a whole bus of Australians walked through the door. Ends with a stolen porcelain pineapple, a taxi, and waking up cuddling it covered in dots. Need a video done? Part 7 with Geordie Lillis from Creators of Awesome, and it takes a heavy turn. Geordie starts light, growing up on a bit of land outside Dalby with his old man teaching at the local state school, and reckons Progress Street in Kwinalei has seen the least progress of any street in the country. The pub’s shut down too, so it’s Kaimkillenbun for a feed these days. Then he tells the yarn about his high school principal, Stacey Train, who years later was one of the three people involved in the Wieambilla shootings. Geordie’s memory of her is a good one. The day a supply teacher marched him and his mates off the school oval for climbing trees at lunch, dumped them in Stacey’s office, and Stacey just looked at them and said “you probably shouldn’t have been in the tree, so walk out of here and look sad.” Geordie talks about the subtle signs he can see looking back, the family relationships that were already breaking down, and what it’s like watching someone you knew as a decent human end up somewhere unthinkable. His take is that you’ve got to watch who you surround yourself with, because you never know where you end up. Need a video done? Find Creators of Awesome. ⚠️ Explicit content. Then Christie’s driving on the highway west of Dalby filming a truck video. Swerves to save a turtle. Reckons she saved it. The following semi-trailer disagrees. Geordie’s got the GoPro strapped to the truck wheel and gets the close-up. Just a pink mist. Then Broome to Darwin. Beautiful bridge, gorgeous shot, “let’s do one more,” drone straight into the tallest tree in the outback. Then the backup drone with a stick sticky-taped to it also gets stuck in the same tree. Four and a half hours from anywhere, sun going down, throwing rocks. Finds an arborist on Facebook at 10.30pm who drives four and a half hours out at 6am and climbs the tree in two minutes flat. Paid him in fishing rods. Need a video done? Find Creators of Awesome. ⚠️ Explicit content. 📞 Get involved🎤 Send a voice message to the boys. Part 3 with Geordie Lillis from Creators of Awesome, and this one goes off. Geordie kicks off with a proper true yarn. At 14, riding his motorbike on the family farm, he got struck by lightning. The bolt hit the power line above him and arced through the ground into his bike. Rubber wheels, rubber gloves, rubber boots. That's the only reason he's here to tell it. Mum watched him vanish in a white flash. He's got the GoPro footage too. The lightning gave him a heart arrhythmia that stuck around until he broke his neck at 21 and the shock reset his heart. Turns out breaking your neck's not all bad news. Geordie walks through the recovery. 21 years old, working on movies at Village Roadshow, one bad skim board fall on the beach, hairline fracture through C1, and months lying in bed counting flies. Then a university lecturer offered him a job teaching filmmaking around Queensland to little indigenous communities. The Pomperaw yarn about handing shoelaces to barefoot kids who turned them into fishing nets by lunch is a ripper. Plus a full breakdown of how a film set actually works. Cinematographer, focus puller, second AC, video utility. And Geordie's specific job on Thor: Ragnarok running hundreds of metres of cable so Chris Hemsworth could see the Hulk in his eyeline.
