I'm Lisa Morton, and for over 20 years I've been helping people, especially busy women, create homes that actually support their lives. Here's the truth: your home isn't just where you live. It's either working for you or working against you. And most of us don't even realize it. On this podcast, I share practical Feng Shui, holistic interior design, and real talk about how your physical space affects your health, your energy, and your ability to show up fully in your life. You'll get easy-to-implement tips you can do this weekend. You'll hear client stories that might feel like your own. And you'll learn that creating a home you actually love isn't complicated or "woo"...it's just intentional. Whether you're feeling stuck, ready for a reset, recovering from a heavy life event, or simply wanting more peace and clarity in your home, this is for you. We'll talk about everything from your bedroom and front door to color, lighting, flow, clutter, and the energy that moves through your space. Let's create a home that feels as good as it looks.

I get two questions all the time: “Lisa, how can you possibly help me if you’ve never set foot inside my home?” and “Wait, how does an energetic space clearing even work from far away?” In this episode I’m pulling back the curtain on both sides of my virtual work. First, I walk you through how a remote consultation actually happens. I share a story about a client in Savannah, Georgia, and how a floor plan, a few photos, and about 25 minutes together on Zoom told me almost everything I needed to know about her home, and her finances, before she said even a word. Then I go even deeper into distance space clearing itself. I’ll explain what it actually is, why I believe (and have seen) that it can be even more powerful than an in-person clearing, and I’ll share a story involving a gong that still gives me chills. If you’ve ever thought, “I’d love to work with Lisa, but I’m not local,” this episode is for you. Location has never been a barrier to either a consultation or a clearing, and I want you to understand exactly why. Also in this episode: I share an update on the Aligned Sanctuary retreat — it’s officially sold out, but there’s still a way to get on the list. Shoes multiplying by the door, mail piling up on the counter, half-empty water bottles on every surface. If that's you, I want you to hear me say this: it's so normal for this season of life. Summer connects to the fire element in Feng Shui, high energy, in and out the door, schedules that change every single day. Of course your home reflects that. In this episode, I'm sharing five simple, doable ways to regain control of your home this summer. No major cleaning day, no overhaul, no remodel required. In this episode, I cover: Why trying to fix the whole house at once leads to freezing instead of progress, and how to pick just one zone to start How to create a landing pad for keys, sunglasses, and everything else that comes in the door with you The two-minute fresh air reset that shifts both the feel and the energy of your home A five to ten minute nightly surface clear ritual that changes how your whole morning feels How to notice when a system that worked for another season no longer fits where you are now This is a short and sweet one you can come back to anytime you're feeling overwhelmed. Save it for those busy weeks. But first, I have to share something that filled my cup completely. Recently, I went home to my hometown for a talk and got to hug two of my elementary school teachers and reconnect with my very first friend, Wendy, who surprised me in the crowd. It was one of those days I'll hold onto for a long time. Going home to celebrate and share something I'm so proud of may have made my year! Then we dive into your questions: Adrienne wants to know how to bring more money and abundance into her home and life. I share my favorite way to start (a little everyday luxury), plus how to find and activate your wealth and abundance corner using the Bagua map. Marta is feeling frozen and stuck and wants to know what to do first. I walk her through a simple visualization to find the one thing that's holding her back. Jill asked one I hear all the time: how do you create a home that works for two people who like completely different things? I share my favorite tricks for blending styles. Whether you're craving more abundance, feeling stuck, or navigating decor with a partner who sees things differently, this episode has a little something for you. I've talked a lot on this podcast about how our homes hold energy, but this week I wanted to bring in someone who sees it from a completely different angle: functional systems. My guest, Julianna Strickland, is the creator of Space Camp Home Organizing. She's organized thousands of homes, and what she shared completely lines up with what I see energetically... a space can look clean on the surface and still feel completely off, because it isn't actually functioning for the life you're living. We talked about why so many organizing systems fall apart within a few weeks, the difference between a space that looks good and one that actually supports you, and why buying bins before you measure your space (guilty!) is one of the most common mistakes people make. A few of my favorite moments from our conversation: Why a "clean" room can still be quietly stressing out your brain The 20% rule — why leaving breathing room in a drawer or closet is what actually makes a system stick Julianna's simple trick for measuring your space using your phone Why you should get donations out of the house immediately, not "eventually" How to figure out what belongs in your easy-to-reach spaces vs. your hard-to-reach ones If you've ever organized a space, only to watch it fall back into chaos a month later, this episode will help you understand why — and what to do instead. I'm talking directly to you about the Aligned Sanctuary Retreat, something I've been building toward for over 20 years of doing this work. And this September, I'm opening the doors of my home to eight women. Not a hotel. Not a rented retreat space. My actual home . The one I've spent years intentionally designing, arranging, and aligning to feel like a true sanctuary. In this episode, I walk you through: What the retreat is and why I kept it to just eight women The three pillars of the Intuitive Home Method and how they shape the entire weekend A full breakdown of the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday experience Our special guests — including Jen Heller, Maggie Kitch, and a couple of surprises I'm keeping close The gifts you'll go home with, the 15-acre property, the heated saltwater pool, and yes — the fire pit evening I won't be spoiling Who this retreat is for, and who it isn't All the practical details: dates, pricing, how to apply, and your special listener window September 25-27, 2026 | Fort Wayne, Indiana | By application only | 8 spots total Early bird pricing extended for podcast listeners through July 8th. I've been guesting on a lot of podcasts lately, and I keep getting asked the same kinds of questions — what are my favorite stories, what tips do I share most, what really works (and what doesn't). So instead of saving those stories for someone else's show, I decided to bring them to you. In this episode I'm sharing my three go-to client stories, the ones I find myself coming back to again and again no matter who I'm talking to: 🎨 Color — Why a little girl's bright green and pink bedroom was unknowingly mimicking the hospital room she woke up in after surgery, and how softening her color palette helped her finally sleep through the night. 🚪 The Front Door — A couple whose home was head-to-toe pink (even though they loved nature, not pink!) and what it taught me about making sure your entryway reflects who you are right now. 🐱 Moving Energy — The home covered in plastic sheeting, a beloved cat nearing the end of its life, and the gentle shift that helped energy — and life — move through the whole house again. Plus, a few behind-the-scenes moments from my podcast studio, and an update on my Color Mastery class and the Aligned at Home Collective. In this episode: Why color is never just about looks — it's doing something in your space How a child's bedroom palette was reinforcing a fear response The story behind the "mouth of chi" and why your front door matters What happens when energy doesn't move through every room of your home An update on Color Mastery (free live class, June 30th at 7pm via Zoom) A first look at our special guest joining the Aligned at Home Collective this month Links mentioned: Join Color Mastery: https://www.purelivingwithlisamorton.com/school.html Join the Aligned at Home Collective: https://www.purelivingwithlisamorton.com/collective.html Get my book, Aligned at Home: https://www.purelivingwithlisamorton.com/book.html Thank you so much for being here. Jen's story is one I think you'll find both inspiring and grounding. From surviving an explosion as a teenager to experiencing a stroke in her early 30s, she's been on an extraordinary journey toward healing — and now she helps others create home environments that truly support their wellbeing. We talk about something I think about all the time: the ecosystem of your home. You can want to feel better, but if you're living in a toxic or depleted environment, you're working against yourself. Jen brings the physical and environmental wellness piece to that conversation in such a beautiful way. In this episode you'll learn: Why your home environment matters just as much as what you put in your body What infrared sauna therapy is, how it works, and why Jen calls it her go-to healing tool The difference between traditional and infrared saunas — and what to watch for when purchasing How to turn your sauna (or any wellness space) into a high-vibe sanctuary you actually look forward to Jen's incredible personal story and the client transformations that keep her going Connect with Jen: Podcast: Homes That Heal — jenhellerlifestyle.com Looking to purchase an infrared sauna? I grew up on a grain farm in Iowa, which I honestly believe shaped so much of what I do today. Growing up connected to the land, the seasons, and the cycles of nature laid a foundation I didn't even recognize until much later. I was also a very sensitive, hyper-aware child, I could sense when a space felt calm, alive, or stagnant, even before I had words for it. From design school to residential design work, and even designing luxury private aircraft interiors, each experience deepened my understanding of one thing: beautiful spaces don't automatically feel good. I share the story of two clients who lived on the same street, in homes built by the same builder, both beautiful, but one felt calming while the other felt exhausting. That difference is what sent me deeper into feng shui, energy work, and environmental psychology. In this episode: • Growing up on a farm in Iowa and how nature shaped my sensitivity to environments • Designing luxury private aircraft interiors and what that taught me about how humans interact with spaces • Why beautiful doesn't always mean it feels good • The moment my career shifted from traditional interior design to environmental alignment • The patterns I kept seeing: stagnant rooms, emotional mirroring, craving visibility • What real feng shui is (and what it isn't) • How the Intuitive Home Method came to be • Two client stories that say it all Journal prompt from this episode: If your home were a metaphor for your life, what is it saying? Stephanie Denson, founder of Spirit and Space, is one of those people. We work in similar ways. While I help clients create homes that feel aligned and supported, Stephanie helps them clear the space both literally and energetically so their lives can expand. And honestly, clutter impacts how you feel in a space just as much as Feng Shui does. In this episode, we talk about the emotional side of downsizing, why "what if syndrome" keeps us stuck, and how small decisions about your belongings can actually be transformative. Stephanie shares stories of real clients like Sue, who was ready to move to senior living but felt paralyzed by her possessions and what changed when she finally let herself let go. We also dive into: Why downsizing doesn't have to mean getting rid of things you love How to find the right home for items that still have value The difference between holding on because you need it and holding on because you're afraid Why starting small creates momentum What happens when you leave clutter clearing until the last minute (spoiler: it's exhausting) If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed by your stuff, or thinking about downsizing, this episode is for you.
