Welcome to The My Decorator Show, where we explore how to create homes that look beautiful, feel welcoming and truly work for the way you live. In this episode, we’re exploring the role indoor plants play in interior design — from adding texture, colour and personality to creating a stronger connection with nature within our homes. Indoor plants are one of the simplest ways to bring life into a space, but choosing the right greenery involves more than simply picking a plant you love. We explore how to consider your interior style, available light, lifestyle, pets and the overall feeling you want your home to create. If you’re wanting to make changes throughout your home but aren’t sure where to begin, a Design Consultation is the ideal first step. Together, we can look at how you live, what your home needs and create a clear direction for creating a space that feels cohesive and intentional. Welcome to The My Decorator Show, where we explore how to create homes that actually work for the life you’re living. In this episode, we explore what slow living can look like in interior design — and why creating a home you love doesn’t always begin with buying something new. From shopping your own home first to avoiding isolated purchases, we look at how pausing before making decisions can help you create a more considered, cohesive and personal home. We also explore why good interior design is about more than choosing beautiful things. It’s about understanding how you actually live, considering your home as a whole, and creating a clear direction for the changes you want to make over time. If your home no longer feels quite right but you’re unsure where to begin, a Design Consultation is the ideal first step. Together, we can look at how you live throughout your home, what is and isn’t working, what could be adapted or repurposed, and where thoughtful changes could make the biggest difference. Book your consultation here: https://mydecorator.com.au/interiordesignconsultation/ • What slow living means in interior design • Why you should shop your own home before buying something new • How isolated purchases can lead to a home that feels disconnected • Why considering your home as a whole can make design decisions easier • How to design around the way you actually live • Why you don’t need to complete every change at once • How a clear plan can help you make more intentional decisions about your home ✨ For practical tips, inspiration and expert advice to make your home truly work for your life, subscribe to The My Decorator Show on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or wherever you listen to podcasts.
