Design Is People He traces his path from a potter grandfather’s DIY inventiveness and a skateboarding childhood in rural Skåne to cabinet-making school in Grebbestad, furniture design at Beckmans, and the Royal College of Art in London, where gallery culture shaped his thinking. Back in Stockholm he created Örnsbergsauktionen, part group show, auction and party, which helped kickstart a collectible design scene by building the context he felt was missing. We discuss interiors like Omnipollo’s brewery in a former church, using colour as a three-dimensional material to highlight architecture and construction, and his modular Joy Objects system in aluminium and acrylic, designed from his own vision of a holistic product and brand language. In Copenhagen Fredrik Paulsen talks about Other Circle as a family-like meeting point and why, for him, the main function of design is people, life and the context around objects. He also shares a one-off collaboration with Emma Clarke, combining Joy Objects aluminium frames with her experimental wood, urushi lacquer and washi-based seats and backs. There is no doubt Fredrik’s appetite for bringing people together guides him in whatever he lays his hands on. For our ongoing podcast series, made in collaboration with SUPERVOX, we talk to creatives about their practice. All episodes are recorded at other circle in 2026. Episode 005 is hosted by Richard Feigin.
Danish artist Esben Weile Kjær traces a path from Aarhus punk and squatting culture to DJing, and explains why he treats images the way DJs treat tracks. He talks about where punk and pop collide in Hardcore Freedom at Copenhagen Contemporary, along with brutalism, stained glass as early light spectacles and curating Butterfly at ARKEN. For our ongoing podcast series, made in collaboration with SUPERVOX, we talk to creatives about their practice. All episodes are recorded at other circle in 2026. Episode 004 is hosted by Richard Feigin.
A conversation between South African photographer and visual activist Zanele Muholi and Astrid Birnbaum, recorded in Stockholm inside Faces and Phases: The Stockholm Edition at Eva Livijns Art Space (curated by Ulrika Flink), alongside a larger presentation at the Hasselblad Center in Gothenburg. Muholi reflects on receiving the Hasselblad Award 2026 as recognition for the communities whose stories they’ve documented, and traces an artistic journey shaped by township life under apartheid, activism, and the need for respectful, positive representation. They discuss why “any space is a space” if collaborators are safe and respected, and how showing work in a home can feel warmer and less intimidating than institutions. Muholi shares how Faces and Phases formally grew from personal and collective loss, expands through international collaborations including Black Queer Sweden, and explains Somnyama Ngonyama as self-portraiture, healing, ancestry, and language, where titles arrive through meaning, memory, and time.
The plates are designed by him. So is the glasware. Nicolai Nørregaard designs a new set of ceramics every year with people he has known for a long time. The glassware is made inhouse too. We went to Copenhagen for a chat with him in the test kitchen at Kadeau. This is a talk about craft and about a chef who refuses to stay in the kitchen. He just got his third Michelin star. We wanted to know what really goes on behind it. It starts on the walls. Old dishes stay up as a reference library. The menu changes twice a year and every new idea has to stand next to what came before. It is a hard cycle and he runs it without shortcuts. Nicolai is CEO and creative director. He shapes the flavor, the plating and the room around it. In collaboration with V1 Gallery, artists come to Bornholm for residencies and their work is installed in the restaurant with the seasons. Twice a year it all shifts together. Food, plates, glass, art and interiors. A new feeling every time, but always rooted in the island. Bornholm is where it comes from. Smokehouses, preservation, gardens and a deep craft tradition. Cooking became his fastest way to make something. You can taste it right away.

For our ongoing podcast series, made in collaboration with SUPERVOX, we talk to creatives about their practice. All episodes are recorded at other circle in 2026. Episode 002 is hosted by Richard Feigin.
We talk about being self-taught, moving from photography into stone and sculpture, the ancient energy of stone and writing as a form of channeling. All episodes are recorded at other circle in 2026. Episode 001 is hosted by Anna Fernsten Nilén.

Before entering the art world she studied abstract mathematics. Her projects include fig 2 at ICA London, where she produced 50 exhibitions in 50 consecutive weeks, and several editions of Frieze Sculpture. Live from Enter Art Fair 2026 in collaboration with Other Circle. Jonas Hartz joins SUPERVOX to talk about working across creative fields and what he calls social design. Creating places where food, music, sound and atmosphere help people meet and feel something, without the design itself taking over. We talk about Louche, a new restaurant and bar opening in Kødbyen, Copenhagen, and how details like acoustics, layout and curation shape the experience. Jonas takes us back to Subkult in 1996, an 18 day hip hop and graffiti event in Pakhus 11 that brought international artists to Copenhagen and became part of a formative moment in the city’s creative scene. He also talks about an archive of hundreds of live painted canvases from Copenhagen, Stockholm and Zurich that has been sitting out of sight for 30 years and might finally be opened up. This episode of SUPERVOX is hosted by Richard Feigin, founder of Super Vox.
Live from Enter Art Fair 2026 in collaboration with Other Circle. "I think it’s okay to be a little bit funny. And I take being funny very seriously." — Martha Hviid Martha Hviid is a Danish artist working across sculpture, installation, drawing, sound, text and scent. Her work explores how we experience things through our bodies and senses, and how familiar materials can suddenly become playful, strange or unsettling. We talk about choosing art over architecture, humour, public space and why an artwork might make you want to touch it, or even lick it. There is also tactility, language, AI and the question of what sculpture can actually do. This episode of SUPERVOX is hosted by Anna Fernsten Nilén, Curator & Cultural Strategist.
Live from Enter Art Fair 2026 in collaboration with Other Circle. Julie Leopold, founder of Enter Art Fair, joins SUPERVOX in Copenhagen to talk about building an international art fair from scratch. Trained as a business lawyer, Julie found her way into the art world through Art Copenhagen and became drawn to the people, the energy and the shared obsession around art. We talk about launching Enter in 2019 with just 30 galleries, reopening during the pandemic and how that unexpected moment helped put the fair on the map. Now in its eighth edition, Enter brings together 88 galleries from around the world. Julie also talks about why the small things matter, from daylight and fresh air to coffee, food and all the practical details that can make an art fair actually feel good to visit. This episode of SUPERVOX is hosted by Richard Feigin, founder of Super Vox.
Live from Enter Art Fair 2026 in collaboration with Other Circle. Susan Cipolla joins SUPERVOX in Copenhagen to talk about the work of her late husband, British photographer David McCabe, and what it means to care for his archive and legacy. We talk about McCabe’s 1964 commission to photograph Andy Warhol for a year, the trust he built inside the Factory, and the people who appear in those early images, from Salvador Dalí to Leo Castelli and James Rosenquist. Susan talks about editions, selling the work and her wish to keep both the photographs and the stories around them alive. We also hear about her own path, from fashion styling in New York to designing homes, and a major David McCabe exhibition opening at Kunsten in Aalborg in January 2027. This episode of SUPERVOX is hosted by Richard Feigin, founder of Super Vox.
Live from Enter Art Fair 2026 in collaboration with Other Circle. Live from Enter Art Fair 2026 in collaboration with Other Circle. Sara Berner Bengtsson, director of Market Art Fair in Stockholm, joins SUPERVOX in Copenhagen for what she calls an art fair nerd perspective. We talk about Chart and Enter, why fairs are just as much about people as the art, and how her team looks at everything from signage and lighting to sponsor activations and small practical details. Sara talks about moving Market from Liljevalchs to a new warehouse like venue in Stockholm, a change that felt risky at first but opened up completely new possibilities. We also talk about children’s spaces, parallel fairs, sponsorship and business models, and what Stockholm might learn from the way Copenhagen works with art in public space. This episode of SUPERVOX is hosted by Richard Feigin, founder of Super Vox.
Live from Enter Art Fair 2026 in collaboration with Other Circle. Alice Goodwin joins SUPERVOX to talk about moving from London to Copenhagen and building a career writing about Nordic contemporary art for publications including Frieze, ArtReview, The New York Times and Wallpaper. We talk about why Nordic art still gets far less international attention than Scandinavian design and lifestyle, and how surprisingly little the Nordic countries sometimes know about each other’s art scenes. Alice talks about her background in 19th century British art, how she approaches studio visits and the responsibility that comes with translating an artist’s work into words. We also talk about what is happening in Denmark right now, from artist run spaces and a new generation of gallerists to more international voices and growing attention around Greenlandic artists. This episode of SUPERVOX is hosted by Richard Feigin, founder of Super Vox.
Live from Enter Art Fair 2026 in collaboration with Other Circle. "All of us have an inherent poetic potential." — Gry Worre Hallberg Gry Worre Hallberg is a performance artist, artistic researcher and founder and artistic director of Sisters Hope, established with Anna Lawaetz in 2007. For almost two decades, Sisters Hope has explored what a more sensuous and poetic society might look like through immersive performances and artistic experiments. We talk about the Sensuous Society, poetic selves, Sisters Hope Home, silence, ritual and what healthcare, education and everyday life could look like if we lived differently. And whether art can be a rehearsal for another way of living. This episode of SUPERVOX is hosted by Anna Fernsten Nilén, Curator & Cultural Strategist.
Live from Enter Art Fair 2026 in collaboration with Other Circle. Joanna Sundström, founder of Stockholm Art Week, joins SUPERVOX in Copenhagen together with surprise guest Carl Wilhelm Hirsch from Wetterling Gallery. We talk about how the Nordic art fair scene has changed, from the early years of Market and the launch of CHART to the arrival of Enter and a more international Copenhagen. Carl talks about moving from Affordable Art Fair to the gallery side, why art fairs are still very much about people and relationships, and why nothing beats seeing the work in real life. We also get into something both Joanna and Carl care about. Why so many people still feel intimidated by galleries, and why sometimes the best thing you can do is simply walk in and ask a question. This episode of SUPERVOX is hosted by Richard Feigin, founder of Super Vox.
Live from Enter Art Fair 2026 in collaboration with Other Circle. "I’m still the same person, looking not for answers but for questions to develop my thinking." — Stine Deja Stine Deja is a Danish artist working across sculpture, installation, video, sound and 3D animation, exploring where technology, the human body and nature collide. We talk about growing up creatively in the Danish countryside, moving from interaction design into art and why she keeps working across different mediums. There is artificial intimacy, digital bodies, cryonics and immortality, but also curiosity, collaboration and humour. Including frozen bodies and giant tardigrades, or water bears. This episode of SUPERVOX is hosted by Anna Fernsten Nilén, Curator & Cultural Strategist.
Live from Enter Art Fair 2026 in collaboration with Other Circle. How does working with a place, and with other people, change the way an artist thinks? Danish artist Simon Sebastian joins SUPERVOX to talk about growing up in Aarhus, studying in Bergen and Paris, and how collaboration and community have changed the way he works. We talk about public space, printmaking, torn down advertising posters and the things we see every day in the city without really thinking about them. Simon also talks about projects in Tallinn, Nørrebrogade and Nørrebro Station, and his interest in how places are used, read and sometimes completely misunderstood. This episode of SUPERVOX is hosted by Richard Feigin, founder of Super Vox.
