On this week's episode, Mike, Craig and Dan reflect on the 2-0 home win against Nottingham Forest. In a fairly uneventful game, Nikola MilenkoviÄ's own goal and Igor Thiago's second half strike earned Keith Andrews' side a much-needed win at the Gtech following our midweek Carabao Cup exit at Sunderland. On this week's episode, Mike, Craig and Dan reflect on yet ANOTHER draw, this time away at Hull City. Dango Ouattara's second half equaliser - his first of the season - means Brentford have now drawn 13 of their last 21 league games, winning just four in the process. We discuss Keith Andrews' record in the Premier League since February, and whether he's getting the best out of this team. We also chat about Keith's lineup against Hull on Sunday and the exclusion of Mikkel Damsgaard, the poor form of our attacking options, Caoimhin Kelleher's (or Aaron Hickey's) clanger, and how we're feeling ahead of Sunderland in the League Cup and Nottingham Forest at home at the weekend. On this week's episode, Mike and Dan reflect on the 2-1 home defeat against Liverpool in which Keith Andrews side were reduced to nine men by referee John Brooks. Brentford took a deserved lead just before half-time with Keane Lewis-Potter adding to his already-impressive start to the season, but the game turned in first half injury time when Yehor Yarmoliuk was shown a straight red for a headbutt on Jeremy Jacquet. Liverpool piled on the pressure in the second half and it told, with Victor Munoz and then Alexander Isak completing the turnaround. Vitaly Janelt's dismissal deep into injury time means he'll miss Brentford's trip to Hull at the weekend. We chat about the red card incident, the form of Igor Thiago, and how Keith may choose to line us up against the Tigers on Sunday. Neil Atkinson of The Anfield Wrap joins Mike ahead of Liverpool's trip to Brentford on Saturday. The visitors have had a fairly mixed start to the season and come five places below Brentford in ninth, following their 3-0 loss at home to Man City last weekend. They did, however, thump LASK in the Champions League in midweek, with marquee summer signing Bradley Barcola netting a hat-trick. Neil chats us through Liverpool's injuries - including whether Bees fans can expect to see the likes of Alexander Isak, Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai - how Liverpool fans feel about the Man City case, and the kind of game we can expect on Saturday against Andoni Iraola's Reds. đ Follow us on X: https://x.com/TheEalingRoad đ Follow us on Insta: https://www.instagram.com/ealingroadpod/ đ Subscribe to Mike's channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDpHRfEbmB0m9W5jOP4ReTQ Learn more about your ad choices. On this week's episode, Mike, Craig, Dan and Callum reflect on the 2-2 draw away at Unai Emery's Aston Villa. It was another rollercoaster match for Keith Andrews' side with Yehor Yarmolyuk giving the away side lead - a lead, however, that was short-lived. Summer signing Nicolas Jackson immediately levelled for the hosts with a smart finish beyond Caoimhin Kelleher. In the second half, it was the complete opposite, with John McGinn earning Villa the lead before Kristoffer Ajer's first goal of the season drew Brentford level. We chat about the injuries to Jannik Schuster and Kevin Schade, Dango Ouattara's cameo performance in the second half, Keane Lewis-Potter in the no.10 role, and Liverpool up next at the Gtech. On this weekâs episode, Mike, Craig and Dan are back to reflect on the international break, and Luke from the UTV Fan Channel joins to give the lowdown on Aston Villa ahead of Brentfordâs trip to Birmingham on Saturday. Mikkel Damsgaard shone for Denmark, scoring twice and assisting once over two games, but will return to West London on the injury list⊠we chat about the impact that may have on the starting XI. Kristoffer Ajer scored a worldie for Norway, while Kevin Schade and Vitaly Janelt both got minutes for Jurgen Kloppâs Germany - with the outside interest in Schade amid his contract extension, we weigh up his value. Finally, Luke joins in the wake of Villaâs slow start to the season. We chat Unai Emery 2.0, how his summer signings are settling in, Brentfordâs triple over Villa last year in league and cup, and how the game might pan out on Saturday. On this weekâs episode, Mike and Craig reflect on an EMPHATIC 3-0 win over West London rivals Chelsea at the Gtech. A fairly uneventful first half was followed up by a second half blitz from Keith Andrewsâ team, in which Jaidon Anthony, Igor Thiago and Fabio Carvalho ensured Brentford took all three points against Chelsea for the first time at home in the Premier League. We chat about some hilarious Chelsea headloss on the timeline, a man of the match performance from 20-year-old Jannik Schuster, Jordan Hendersonâs return to the Gtech, Igor Thiago finally getting off the mark in the league, and Brentfordâs standout performers this season. FOURTH in the Premier League and still UNBEATEN going into the September international break⊠WALLOP. Tom of the Chatting Chelsea Podcast joins Mike ahead of the West London Derby at the Gtech on Friday night. Chelsea come into the game having drawn at home to newly-promoted Hull City in their last Premier League outing, but boast the division's most prolific forward line in Joao Pedro, Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers - or JP Morgan as they are now known. We chat about Chelsea's defensive issues, Xabi Alonso's tenure so far, and classic Brentford v Chelsea matchups over the last few seasons. On this weekâs episode, Mike, Craig and Callum are back to reflect on the 2-2 draw against Bournemouth on the south coast. Kevin Schade opened the scoring with his customary goal against the Cherries, but Keith Andrewsâ side were pegged back by Justin Kluivertâs finish just before half-time. The hosts then took the lead through Marcus Tavernier, but ANOTHER Schade goal meant the points were shared. We chat about Dango Ouattaraâs substitute performance against his former club, why we were so sloppy in possession at points, and Reading and Chelsea up next in cup and league. On this weekâs episode, Mike, Craig and CALLUM - yeah, thatâs right - reflect on the 1-1 draw against Sunderland at the Gtech on Saturday. All of us were confident heading into this one, so the first half onslaught from Regis Le Brisâ side brought us all back down to earth very quickly. A disallowed goal, coupled with numerous chances for the visitors had us all thinking the same thing: âhow the hell are we going into half-time at 0-0?â And when Vitaly Janelt opened the scoring in the second half for his second goal of the campaign, it looked as though weâd snatch all three points. But, despite a much-improved second half, Sunderland ensured theyâd leave West London with a share of the tally. We chat about some contentious refereeing decisions, the form of Mikkel Damsgaard, Jannick Schusterâs impromptu Premier League debut, and a trip to Bournemouth up next⊠Follow us on X: https://x.com/TheEalingRoad Follow us on Insta: https://www.instagram.com/ealingroadpod/ Subscribe to Mike's channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDpHRfEbmB0m9W5jOP4ReTQ Learn more about your ad choices. Ross from the WTF Sunderland Podcast joins Craig ahead of Brentford's challenge against Regis Le Bris' side at the Gtech on Saturday. Sunderland secured European football on the final day of last season at Brentford's expense, in what was a truly remarkable first season back in the Premier League. Trips to AC Milan and AZ Alkmaar await in what could prove to be another special campaign. Ross chats about Sunderland's summer business, including Kevin Danso and Malick Fofana, how the Black Cats have fared in their opening games, and last season's last gasp winner for the home side at the Stadium of Light. On this week's episode, Craig and Dan dissect the 1-1 draw at Elland Road against Leeds United. The Brentford fans that made the trip up to West Yorkshire were treated to a first half that saw Keith Andrews side completely dominate Leeds from minute one. While big chances were few and far between, Kevin Schade's excellent flick before half-time put The Bees in a strong position. But the second half was almost the complete opposite, with Leeds piling on the pressure - pressure which eventually told when Dominic Calvert-Lewin tucked away an equaliser... We chat about *that* penalty incident, the Sangare x Janelt pivot, and Sunderland up next at the Gtech. On this week's episode, Mike and Dan call an impromptu podcast to reflect on the 6-1 thrashing of Birmingham City at St. Andrews, and Mike chats to The Athletic's Beren Cross ahead of Brentford's trip to Leeds on Sunday. A second strength team travelled to St. Andrews for the second round Carabao Cup fixture against former regular opposition in Birmingham, but it mattered not. Keith Andrews side hammered the Blues 6-1, with Nathan Collins bagging a brace, and Jaidon Anthony shining. Up next, The Bees make the trip to Elland Road for what hopefully is not another Keith Andrews v Daniel Farke classic. Beren spoke to Leeds' brilliant start to the season, their summer transfers (including Harry Wilson), and how the game might go on Sunday. Dan and Mike also talked Ethan Pinnock after his Coventry departure was confirmed, and we address the El Hadji Malick Diouf 'HERE WE GO'... On this week's episode, Mike, Craig and Dan reflect on a resounding opening day victory, as Brentford run out 3-0 winners against Spurs at the Gtech. An early goal from Keane Lewis-Potter set the tone in what was a dominant first half, with club record signing Mamadou Sangare running proceedings from minute one. Vitaly Janelt added a second as half-time approached, and Michael Kayode completing the whitewash in the second half. We chat about the quality of our new star in midfield, Ethan Pinnock's imminent departure for Coventry City, and the upcoming games against Birmingham City in the Carabao Cup, and Leeds at Elland Road... Ben Bowman joins Mike ahead of Brentford's 2026/27 Premier League season opener against Spurs at the Gtech on Saturday night. Roberto De Zerbi's first full season in charge of Spurs promises a lot, with the new big money signings of Sandro Tonali, Matheus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke adding to the positive vibes around North London... which have been rare in recent times. We chat about Thomas Frank's disaster campaign at Spurs last season after making the switch from Brentford, De Zerbi splashing the cash in the transfer market, and Saturday's clash in West London. We chat about the summer arrivals of Jaidon Anthony, Callum Wilson and Mamadou Sangare, and whether Brentford are indeed done in the transfer market. On this weekâs episode, Mike, Dan and Craig reflect on final day disappointment, as our European dream comes to end at Anfield following a 1-1 draw with Liverpool. Just not to be on the final day for Keith Andrewsâ Bees, despite an impressive second half performance, and despite other results going our way. Kevin Schadeâs equaliser, and a last-gasp header from Dango Ouattara left those inside Anfield dreaming of what couldâve been. We chat about falling just short on the final day, Jordan Hendersonâs prolonged substitution, the upcoming summer transfer window, and our End of Season Awards. On this weekâs episode, Mike, Craig and Dan reflect on the 2-2 draw at home to Crystal Palace, as Brentfordâs European dream goes down to the final day of the Premier League season. Keith Andrewsâ side struggled in large parts against Oliver Glasnerâs Conference League finalists, but a Dango Ouattara brace ensured our quest for Europe would end at Anfield against Liverpool on the final day. We chat about a woeful 87 minutes, what our summer transfer window could look like, and ALL the permutations heading into the Matchweek 38. On this weekâs episode, Mike, Craig and Dan look back on the 3-0 defeat away at Manchester City. Once again, Brentford rued missed chances away from home, and, on another day, couldâve been on the right side of refereeing decisions, but goals from Jeremy Doku, Erling Haaland and Omar Marmoush meant the Bees left Manchester pointless. We discuss the contentious decisions from the game, Mikkel Damsgaardâs impact this season, and the European picture after wins for both Brighton and Bournemouth at the weekend. On this weekâs episode, Mike, Craig and Dan reflect on Brentfordâs first win since February - a 3-0 home victory against relegation candidates West Ham. A Michael Kayode-engineered own goal, as well as a goal apiece from Igor Thiago and Mikkel Damsgaard meant Brentford briefly climbed into sixth in the Premier League table, before retaking their resident seventh spot following the weekendâs fixtures. We chat about Brentfordâs top ten most expensive signings, a new signing reportedly waiting in the wings, Josh Dasilvaâs return to Premier League football, and a trip to Manchester City up next.
