Let me know what you loved about the episode! We all have beliefs about ourselves. I'm not confident enough to... My opinion doesn't get listened to. I'm not good enough to do... I have to keep everyone happy But have you ever stopped to think about what those beliefs are actually costing you? Reflection work to go with this episode: Choose one belief you have about yourself and complete this sentence: Because I believe this, I... Then ask yourself: What is this costing me? (What have you avoided? What have you tolerated? What have you said yes to? What have you said no to? Where have you made yourself smaller? What opportunities might you have missed?) And finally: How might my life be different if this belief wasn't running the show? Support the show If anything in this episode resonated with you, I'd love to hear from you. Let me know what you loved about the episode! Have you considered that some of the things you believe about yourself aren't actually facts? What if they're conclusions you came to somewhere along the way? We all have beliefs about who we are and what we're capable of. I'm not good enough. My opinion doesn't matter. I'm just not confident. I have to keep everyone happy. I'm not sophisticated enough. I'm not the sort of person who... And because some of these beliefs have been with us for years, we can forget that they were ever learned. They can start to feel like simply who we are. But beliefs don't appear from nowhere. They're shaped by our experiences, relationships, things people said to us, things we observed, and the meaning we made from what happened to us. In this episode, we're exploring how those beliefs can form, how they can influence the way we see ourselves, and why questioning them can be the first step towards changing them. Let me know what you loved about the episode! Have you ever found yourself wishing you could go back to a particular time in your life? A time when things felt simpler. A relationship, a home, a holiday, a chapter of your life you remember with a little ache. One day, you'll wish you can come back to this life. How often do we look backwards wishing for what was, or forwards wishing for what will be, while completely overlooking the life we're living right now? In this episode, we're talking about nostalgia, the selective way we remember the past, and the possibility of looking at our present life through the eyes of the future version of ourselves. Because you can honour the past without wanting to live there. You can be excited about what's coming without rushing towards it. And you can love where you've been, while learning to really love where you are. Support the show If anything in this episode resonated with you, I'd love to hear from you. Let me know what you loved about the episode! What happens when you start working on yourself, but the people around you don't? Self-development can change so much more than your mindset. It can change your boundaries, your self-worth, your tolerance for negativity and even the relationships you once felt completely comfortable in. In this episode, we’re talking about the loneliness that can come with personal growth, why other people’s negativity might suddenly become more noticeable, how stronger boundaries can change relationships, and why certain people can sometimes pull you back towards an old version of yourself. Let me know what you loved about the episode! Have you ever asked the universe for a sign? Maybe you've noticed the same number repeatedly, heard the exact song you needed to hear, thought about someone just before they messaged, or found yourself repeatedly drawn towards something you can't quite explain. And sometimes those little moments feel like more than coincidence. We've recently experienced a particularly energetic period, with the Lionsgate Portal, a partial solar eclipse, the New Moon and a meteor shower all arriving within a relatively short space of time. And it got me thinking about the signs we look for from the universe, and whether we're sometimes so busy searching for them that we miss what's already being shown to us. In this episode, we're exploring synchronicities, intuition, those strange little moments that make you stop and think "Hmmm...", and the possibility that the universe might communicate with us in far more ways than we realise. But we also explore something deeper. What if we're constantly asking the universe to tell us what to do because, somewhere along the way, we've stopped trusting ourselves? What if the things that keep appearing in your life are inviting you to pay attention rather than simply giving you an answer? And what if the signs aren't always beautiful coincidences or exciting opportunities? What if the relationships, situations, feelings and closed doors that keep repeating themselves are signs too? Because sometimes the universe doesn't give us the whole map. Sometimes we just get the next breadcrumb. And the magic is learning to trust ourselves enough to follow it. Let me know what you loved about the episode! Ever picked up your phone for "just five minutes"... only to put it down feeling more overwhelmed than when you started? Maybe everyone else seems happier, more successful or like they've somehow got life completely figured out. Or perhaps you've found yourself scrolling through endless opinions, breaking news and highlight reels until your own mind feels frazzled. If that sounds familiar, you're definitely not alone. In this episode, we're taking a nostalgic trip back to the 90s, when the back of a shampoo bottle could keep us entertained and nobody knew where we were unless they rang the house phone! But this isn't an episode about deleting social media or wishing life was different. Because this podcast is about Loving Life , not wishing life was different. Together, we'll explore why social media can feel so mentally exhausting, why comparison has become almost impossible to avoid, and most importantly, how to become the curator of your own digital world instead of letting it curate you. Let me know what you loved about the episode! Episode Summary Have you ever looked at someone and thought "they seem so confident"? The truth is, someone can appear confident on the outside whilst unknowingly questioning themselves on the inside. In this episode, I'm exploring what it really means to feel comfortable in your own skin, and why it's about so much more than confidence or appearance. After returning from a recent trip, I realised I'd spent the entire holiday without wearing makeup. It wasn't about the makeup itself. It was about what it represented, and how much my relationship with myself has changed over the years. I share some of the subtle signs that you might not feel as comfortable in yourself as you'd like, from overthinking conversations and comparing yourself to others, to people-pleasing, perfectionism and constantly worrying what others think. I'll also talk about my own self-development journey, including shadow work, Belief Coding®, breathwork and the importance of continuing to do the inner work. And if you're wondering "that's all well and good, but what can I actually do?!" I'll share ten gentle, practical ways you can begin feeling more at home in who you are. Because feeling comfortable in your own skin isn't about becoming someone else. It's about giving yourself permission to be the person you've been all along. Let me know what you loved about the episode! When was the last time nobody needed anything from you? Just think about that for a second... no one asking you a question, no one wondering what's for dinner, no one needing a lift somewhere, no one expecting a reply and no one relying on you to remember something. Last weekend, I got to experience exactly that. For the first time in over ten years, I had the house completely to myself. And what I thought was going to be a productive weekend turned into something quite different... In this episode, I'm sharing what that weekend taught me about slowing down, reconnecting with myself. If you've ever found yourself feeling overwhelmed, constantly thinking about the next thing on your list, or wondering why it's so difficult to hear your own thoughts amongst everyone else's needs, I think you'll really relate to this conversation. Let me know what you loved about the episode! Have you ever come back from a wonderful holiday, unpacked your suitcase, made yourself a cup of tea, and simply thought "it's so nice to be home" This week on Loving Life, we're exploring why that feeling runs much deeper than we might realise. Although getting away gives us the chance to rest, explore and make memories, there's something incredibly comforting about returning to the life we've built. Our favourite routines, familiar surroundings and the little rituals we barely notice all help us feel grounded, safe and at ease. In this episode, we'll explore: Why coming home feels so comforting How familiarity helps regulate our nervous system The small everyday rituals that make a house feel like home Why contentment isn't about never wanting to travel, but about loving the life you return to A gentle visualisation to help you appreciate the ordinary moments that make your home uniquely yours If you've ever found yourself smiling as you walked back through your own front door, this episode is a gentle reminder that sometimes the richest parts of life aren't always found in the exciting moments, but in the everyday places waiting for us to return. Let me know what you loved about the episode! We've all done it. Promised ourselves we'd meditate every morning. Go for more walks. Journal before bed. Read instead of scrolling our phones. We know these habits make us feel better, so why are they often the hardest ones to stick to? In this episode, we're looking beyond motivation and willpower to explore what might really be happening beneath the surface. Because perhaps the habit isn't the problem at all. We're looking at: • Why you're probably much better at habits than you think • The hidden habits your brain has already perfected • Why nourishing habits can feel surprisingly uncomfortable • How subconscious beliefs can secretly influence the choices we make every day • Why missing a day doesn't mean you've failed • A gentler way to think about creating lasting habits If you've ever called yourself lazy, undisciplined or someone who "just can't stick to anything," I hope this episode helps you see yourself with a little more compassion. Because sometimes, the habits that could change our lives ask us to become someone who believes they're worthy of the time. Let me know what you loved about the episode! Life isn't always necessarily stressful, but it can be busy . In this episode, I'm reflecting on a season where life has been particularly busy. Whilst none of these things were negative, they reminded me how easily a busy season can tip into overwhelm if we're not paying attention to what we need, even when the busyness is lovely things. I share the small habits that helped me stay grounded, why recognising your own warning signs is a form of self-awareness, and how creating tiny moments of calm can make all the difference when life feels full. In this episode, we explore: Why "good busy" can still feel overwhelming. The subtle signs your nervous system might be asking you to slow down. How to recognise what you need before overwhelm takes over. Simple ways to reconnect with yourself during busy seasons. Why self-care isn't something we do after we're overwhelmed, but something that helps prevent us from getting there. Let me know what you loved about the episode! Have you spent years believing you're too quiet, too sensitive, too emotional, or just not confident enough? What if those traits aren't flaws at all? In this episode, we're exploring the surprising difference between a genuine weakness and a personality trait that's simply been misunderstood. You'll discover why many of the things we've spent years trying to "fix" about ourselves may actually be strengths in disguise, and how to recognise when something is part of who you are versus a fear that's been keeping you small. If you've ever found yourself putting off a task that would only take ten minutes, yet somehow it's been on your to-do list for weeks, you need to listen to this episode! We're exploring what procrastination is really trying to tell you. Because more often than not, it's not about laziness or a lack of motivation. It's about what's happening beneath the surface. Journaling Questions What task have I been putting off recently? What emotion might I be avoiding by not doing it? What story am I telling myself about what could happen? Let me know what you loved about the episode! Life feels uncertain for so many of us right now. Whether it’s worrying about money, relationships, health, your career, your family, or simply feeling unsettled by what’s happening in the world, uncertainty has a way of pulling us into overthinking, fear, and worst-case scenarios. In this week’s episode of Loving Life – A Guide to a Positive Mindset , Lisa shares how to stay positive during uncertain times without falling into toxic positivity or pretending everything is fine. Inside this episode, you’ll learn: Why uncertainty can trigger anxiety, overthinking, and emotional exhaustion How your nervous system responds when life feels unpredictable Simple ways to stay present instead of spiralling into “what if” thinking Practical mindset shifts to help you feel calmer, safer, and more in control Why creating inner safety matters when life feels outside of your control Lisa also gently touches on the idea of safety and security, something listeners may recognise from the recent chakra mini-series, helping you understand why uncertainty can feel so unsettling on both a mental and emotional level. If life feels a little wobbly right now, this episode is your reminder that positivity isn’t about ignoring reality, it’s about learning how to support yourself through it.
