Tony has been away, and Gary has been growing up. If things stay as they are, surely there will be no more behaving badly…. Rest assured, Tom and Si will investigate and report back on a cracking first episode of the 5th series of Men Behaving Badly. Thanks for listening. (All media from the show property of BBC/Thames/Hartswood Films)
Tom and Si reach the end of Series 4, with a controversial episode (well in our view anyway!). The loyalty of Gary, Tony and Deborah is tested to the max, when a combination of toothache, painkillers and writing weekends present challenges to all concerned. Will things ever be the same again? And will George find his favorite paperclip?
We visit the flat during a period of convalescence for Dorothy, and adjustment for Tony. Gary is his usual, sensitive self in his approach to both. Hilarity ensues. Enjoy the Pod. (All media from show property of BBC/Thames/Hartswood Films)
This week Si and Tom discuss one of the standout episodes ofMBB, Drunk. For those who haven’t seen it, this sums up the show in 30minutes. Drunkenness Stupidity Bottles of Sod Enjoy! (All media from show property of BBC/Thames/Hartswood Films)
Is it three timing worse than two timing? Tony is about to find out. Gary meanwhile embarks on an attempt to restore his pride whilst fending off his Dad's embarrassing behaviour. (All media from show property of BBC/Thames/Hartswood Films)
Welcome back to the Pod, joining me this time around is my good friend Tom, of One Foot in the Podcast, The 3 Comidos and Flat as a Fart. We discuss the middle of the Gary-Dorothy crisis trilogy. Any comments or feedback, please get in touch at mbbpod@yahoo.com (All media from show property of BBC/Thames/Hartswood Films)
The halfway point of Series 1, which means only 3 more episodes with Harry Enfield after this episode....Continuing the saga of Gary and Dorothy's relationship, we see Dermot take drastic action to get the pair back together. Also, household security is on the agenda, as Gary thinks this is the way to any woman's heart....Hope you are enjoying the pod. Cheating partners and acts of kindness are the main strands of this episode, one of my favourite in the entire series run. The first in a mini trilogy of sorts. Lots to discuss here, and it was a pleasure to do so with long time MBB fan Joe. (All media from show property of BBC/Thames/Hartswood Films)
So Series 4 is upon us. A very strong run of episodes ahead of us. Vintage MBB some might say. I am joined this week by my great friend Tom; co-host of The Three Comidos, host of One Foot in the Podcast and co-host of Flat as Fart. (https://shows.acast.com/flat-as-a-fart-podcast) Gary and Dorothy decide to start a family, however will Dorothy’s concerns over his suitability as a parent throw a spanner in the works. Meanwhile Tony has to let a workman into Debs’ flat, what could possibly go wrong? (All media from show property of BBC/Thames/Hartswood Films)
So Series 3 draws to a close, and we are left on something of a cliffhanger. If only Gary had moderated his drink down at the Pasta Pig, he wouldn't been in this mess.... My brother Tim joins me to round out the third series, and its an episode we are both fond of. Thanks for listening. mbbpod@yahoo.com (All media from show property of BBC/Thames/Hartswood Films)
There's trouble in store for Gary when a cleaning lady is called in to deal with the state the flat has gotten into. Meanwhile, Tony is fed up with his job as a barman, and decides a new career path is just what he needs to cheer himself up. mbbpod@yahoo.com twitter.com/mbbpod (All media from show property of BBC/Thames/Hartswood Films)
A bumper episode this week, as Tom, host of One Foot in the Podcast and my co-host from The 3 Comidos Podcast, joins me to discuss the only Men Behaving Badly Christmas special that was produced. Lots to digest here (thankfully not Mr Strang's Turkey), we discuss Debs treatment of Tony, the sinister nature of MBB, and whether a Christmas Special with a parallel universe is a success. Thank you for continued support, and I wish you all a Merry Christmas. (All media from show property of BBC/Thames/Hartswood Films)
A weekend away is just what Gary and Dorothy need to spice up their relationship. A bit of country air will send them back to London fully invigorated, surely? Tony embarks on a new career at The Crown, and spies an opportunity to get even with Deborah's new boyfriend. I am delighted to be joined this week by Nic Bowden, of Ant and Nic Press Play . Nic is a very knowledgeable MBB fan, and I am very grateful to him for talking through this episode with me. "Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies" So said Fleetwood Mac. When Gary tries it, it lands him in hot water. This week the issues of dealing with damp, cooking with socks, and navigating the pavement whilst avoiding falling literature crop up. Enjoy the podcast. mbbpod@yahoo.com @mbbpod on Twitter (All media from show property of BBC/Thames/Hartswood Films)
Series 3 of MBB is in full swing over on the BBC. We join the gang on a windy night in London. After an evening of cooking and trouser folding, Gary is in the mood for love, whereas Dorothy needs to shift her indigestion. Meanwhile, Tony is dabbling with self help tapes... Hope you enjoy the show. (All media from show property of BBC/Thames/Hartswood Films)
So we reach the end of Series 2. It's farewell to ITV, and the 25 minute episodes. This week, the offer of a free holiday test everyone's resilience to the max. We also discover the most effective way to break up a game of Twister in a hurry. Thank you to everyone that has listened to the pod. It has been a huge pleasure to review these episodes. mbbpod@yahoo.com (All media from show property of BBC/Thames/Hartswood Films)
Greetings MBB fans. I know I promised to be more regular with the episodes....so sorry about that! Series 2 is drawing to a close, but we still have a fair amount of action to get through. This week... Lifts Vans Snooker Brandy Make of that what you will! Mr Nye certainly did, crafting a very funny episode. Enjoy the pod, and thanks for listening. (All media from show property of BBC/Thames/Hartswood Films)
Dandruff, vinyl records and digestive biscuits- just some of the challenges facing our heroes this week. Tony makes progress with Deborah, and Gary tries to scam Dorothy. Surely at least one of these scenarios is going to end badly.... Thanks for downloading the podcast. I hope you find it as enjoyable to listen to as I do making it. (All media from show property of BBC/Thames/Hartswood Films)
This week on the pod, we tackle keeping a flat in tip-top condition, as well as how to delicately rid yourself of a relationship that is heading south, with our experts Mr G Strang, and Mr T Smart. As ever, it is a joy to produce these pods, and I hope you continue to enjoy them. (All media from show property of BBC/Thames/Hartswood Films)
Tony is settling into life at the flat, and trying to impress Deborah with his bilingual abilities. Gary is a little unsure about one or two things about Tony, so does a little investigating. Surely the lads can't be over before they begin? We also met Nev, the lazy bastard roadie, for the first time. Oh, and crosswords crop up a lot... Enjoy the pod.
