Adventure Shetland provides guided tours, walks and hikes around Shetland - a group of islands north of Scotland and west of Norway. On this podcast, I tell stories from Shetland history and folklore, give travel advice for the islands, talk about archaeology, retell Viking sagas, and give an introduction to my homeland for those who may not be familiar with this northern archipelago.

Send a text Thank you for your patience on this one! After many technical problems since recording back in October, at long last I’m pleased to finally be presenting a selection of Ghost Stories from Shetland. Most of these stories are from Yell and Fetlar, and there is definitely a bias towards the north isles in the written record of Shetland folklore, largely due to the work of Jessie Saxby and Laurence Tulloch who came from Unst and Yell respectively and predominantly recorded the stories from their local areas. This video was made possible thanks to the generous support of the following producers: Rory Goodlad, Melissa Mayo, Scott Goudie, James Gordon and Debs Skelton.
