How is Lizz sleeping with the new baby? "Fine." But the real issue is all the laundry that baby #3 brings with her. Unlike Kelly, laundry is her least favorite task and with three kids now it seems to be never ending. But the laundry pile might need to take a break as the website launch day is here! Hopefully... Time to visit Last Three Transactions and right now it's all about getting the kids' fall wardrobe in order. Lizz got Sloan a cheerleader outfit and revealed just how much she and Kelly wanted to be a part of the pom-pom squad when they were kids. Kelly is getting ready for football season with some new Detroit Tigers gear. Plus, does she need to report a bad seller to Ebay? Then it's a big day in Industry News as the IIHS finally give their results after testing the Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade. It's all good news! Plus, updates on two new off-road vehicles that could be hitting the market soon.
Lizz and Elise are BACK on the podcast and Kelly is SO happy about it! You would think they talk all the time, but in reality the podcast is really the only time the two sisters get to chat. It's the perfect time as the new Car Mom website launches this week! Are they ready? Kinda... Kelly fills us in on her latest trip to New York City for work and some sister time. For one night she was the main character in the big city, with her sister's clothing approval of course. They befriended a bartender and tried to find Sydney a man. It was the perfect New York night. But not all is perfect in the family as Steptember is about to tear them apart. Since summer is pretty much over, it's the perfect time to share Kelly's summer notes. She explains why red, white and blue shorts are always the perfect option for the kids' summer wardrobe. Plus, how she will be perfecting the summer cocktail next year. Now that we know the 'Dancing with the Stars' line-up, Kelly and Lizz are ready to make their predictions. Who do they think will end up in the top four? Get ready for a full breakdown each week! Lizz is back! She's got a new little one with her and is ready to share the birth story. First, a quick catch up as the ladies prepare for the launch of the brand new website. They bought the purses for the launch giveaway, which was quite an experience. The family has also started a September walking challenge. Who will take the win? Then, an update on Kelly's first ever fantasy football league and the questionable trades she's already made. Then, it's on to the most lovely birth story you may ever hear. Lizz talks about how they went into the hospital without a name and ended up with one that wasn't even in their top picks. But the sweetest moment was when they revealed to Kelly the middle name they picked. Before they go, it's time for a quick Last Three Transactions. There are a couple kid birthdays coming up so both Kelly and Lizz are getting ready. Plus, Lizz is continuing to find ways to keep her other two kids entertained while she's with the baby.
Lizz is still on maternity leave, but that is just fine when Kelly has a LOT to talk about from a busy week! She's done it all from car seat conventions and kids' fishing tournaments to creating a fantasy football league. Yes, a new micro-hobby has been unlocked! Plus, getting ready for a new season of "Dancing with the Star" and two trips to New York. But it's not just about Kelly today, Side Hustle Summer continues! Today is a special one with the return of The Marketplace Mom, Olivia. She talked to Kelly and Lizz last summer about how she made selling on Facebook Marketplace her side hustle. Now, she has turned that into a thriving Instagram account with almost 20,000 followers! Olivia talks about what sells well on Facebook Marketplace, common seller mistakes, and scams to watch out for. Follow Olivian on Instagram @themarketplacemom
Surprise! We've got a second episode for you this week and it's all about Side Hustle Summer. Three amazing ladies join the Carpool Podcast to talk about their side hustles. First, Beverly is running a side hustle close to our hearts. She runs her own summer camp for local kids out of her home. What started as a way to keep her kids and their friends entertained evolved into a business. She's even gone back to school to learn how kids learn! Then, Lynsey The Memory Mom is helping moms turn their overloaded camera rolls into home movies. After having her first child she was looking for a program to help her arrange and create using all the photos and videos she had of her baby. When she couldn't find what she was looking for, she just created it herself! Finally, friend of the Car Mom, Megan, joins to talk about her side hustle The Nurturing Nook. She helps parents design and create custom nurseries for their little ones. Once again, this is another business created after seeing a need for herself and realized parents were struggling with the same problem. Now she is creating beautiful nurseries!
The kids are back to school, but Kelly isn't slowing down. The new website is almost ready to launch with a big celebration on September 10 in St. Louis. But don't worry; if you don't live near St. Louis, there will be another way you can be a part of the fun. You might even win a designer purse! Kelly is also headed to the "Kids in Motion" conference. What does one wear to a car seat convention? Then it's time for a chat with Natalie Johnson from Home Beings with Love. She is the meal prep queen and gives us more advice on prepping dinners for the whole family. She talks about her go-to freezer meals that you will actually want to eat and her rolling 3-day dinner plan.
Good news, Lizz had her baby! Bad news, she's not quite ready to be back on the podcast yet. That means a semi-solo episode with Kelly and a special guest joining us at the end. Before the guest, Kelly catches her up on the best summer ever! The older the kids get, the more she wants to spend time with them. Plus, Kelly discusses the great advice she learned from Reels, getting into her golf dress era and a birthday recap. Then, we discuss all the amazing new third row SUVs that have become available in the last year with Scotty Reiss from A Girl's Guide to Cars. They discuss the new models that have been released and the best and worst parts of each. It's been a good year for family cars and they break it all down.

As of the recording of this episode, there still is no new baby St. John. However, Lizz is out and Sam is in! This week on the podcast @MamaKnowsCarSeats is joining Kelly as co-host. While the baby hasn't arrived yet, it doesn't mean the family isn't expanding. Kelly traveled to Kentucky to meet the newest addition to the Car Mom family - her Ford Expedition! She tells us all about traveling to the factory and how Ford pulled a fast one on her that led to the most emotional moment ever at a car factory. There's one major story this week that MUST be discussed with Sam, the new list of best cars for carseats. Cars.com released their annual list and there is a LOT to talk about. Do Kelly and Sam agree with what they came up with? Let's just say they have some takes. While they are on Industry News, they have to talk about the new Tesla Y L.
Could this be Lizz's final episode before baby? Things are starting to look like they could be happening any day now. She shares the latest on the newest St. John family member and how she's getting through these final weeks. Let's just say she is ready for baby #3 and completely over being pregnant! Kelly is continuing her "Best Summer Ever" and getting ready for two nights of ice cream socials. It's the start of a very busy week that ends with her traveling to Kentucky to see her next car roll off the production line. Oh, and she explains why she is taking pictures of all her meals—and it has nothing to do with social media. Got a good show Lizz should watch? She's getting her maternity leave watch list ready, and Kelly has one suggestion that scratches the DWTS itch. It's not the only help she plans to give her sister once the baby arrives; she has a whole plan for being the best sister ever over the next few weeks. Then it is time for a chat with Vanessa Wilkin from Enterprise. They were a major part of the Car Mom Auto Show this year and it's the perfect partnership! They talk about how many families forget that you don't have to buy a car based around a once or twice a year trip, you can always rent one! Plus, the importance of checking to see if you have the right rental reimbursement
Monday was in full Monday force for Lizz this week with a nightmare DoorDash fail. So this podcast starts with no coffee, no food and no refund. Combine that with the pregnancy pain and Lizz is not starting off on the right foot. Kelly, on the other hand, continues to be on an entirely different planet as she is living her summer life. She even went out with friends and had some alcoholic beverages! Don't even get her started on the ice cream socials. She is THRIVING! Then it's time to chat with another mom for Side Hustle Summer! Sarah started "Sadie's House" as a little side project making beautiful fabric frames. She quickly found a customer base and the business is thriving! She talked to Kelly and Lizz about how she started and how she uses Etsy to find the best customers for her products. Plus, a lazy pizza hack that is going to leave you floored! Follow Sarah at on Instagram at @at.sadies.house and CLICK HERE to check out her Etsy store.
It's a post 4th of July pod and Kelly is continuing to live her best summer life. Being in her kid era, she spent the weekend playing the best pool games with the kids and making her summer notes. Lizz, on the other hand, is at the point in her pregnancy where she's too pregnant to go anywhere and unfortunately is not feeling great. She would rather have the third kid at this point than be pregnant anymore. Some new icks have been uncovered. You know when someone asks if you've heard a song and then sings it for you when you say you haven't? That's a new Kelly ick. Lizz is watching hospital packing videos on Instagram and getting so annoyed when it's obvious that the creators haven't used a single item they packed and just included them to get credit on Amazon. Ick! But the biggest part of this episode is the return of Colleen from Naming Bebe to make Lizz's dream come true - a baby name consultation! Will she find a name that both Lizz and Matty like? And what about the name Kelly?
Kelly is back from her family vacation and is ready to make a bold statement: lake vacations are better than beach vacations. There is so much stuff you have to lug to the beach! So much easier when you can just throw it on the boat. While watching her kids play, Kelly came to the realization that they survived the baby stage. Is she peeking? Can you peek more than once? Lizz, on the other hand, is coming to the realization that having three kids is going to rock her world. Baby is due in 40 days and they still don't have a name. BUT the dresser is built, so all is not lost. Plus, she did a full baby haul on Prime Day and is planning to put together her go-bag this week so the prep has started. But the big news of this episode (besides Kelly's rib success) is that Side-Hustle Summer is BACK! To kick it off Kelly and Lizz are talking to Shannon, who started her own mobile spray tan business. She tells the story of how she started and why she loves running her own business. You can check out Shannon on Instagram @glow.byshannon
Kelly is headed to lakehouse for a week-long family vacation with the kids. They opted for that instead of an expensive Florida vacation and her husband is tracking every cent they spent to see how much they save... sounds super fun... What WILL be fun are all the thrift store toys and activities Kelly got for the trip and her pre-done meal plan! Over at Lizz's house, they're still reeling from James' amazing third birthday party. It was all dinosaur themed and the perfect first party for them to throw since the house renovations. The dinosaur dig experience she booked turned out to be a major win! But was this birthday more for James or Lizz and Matty? Kelly has a new micro-hobby: the World Cup! She's been enjoying not only following along with the games, but the lovely posts from people that came other countries to enjoy everything the USA has to offer. Plus, what Prime Day deals you need to keep an eye on this year. Then, it's time to chat with Tomi from Delivrd. He's helping consumers find the car the car they are looking for and negotiating directly with dealerships to get them the best deal. They discuss his journey to Delivrd and the consumer's power in today's market. Plus, the best and worst car buying advice. Learn more about Tomi and Delivrd at delivrdto.me
The Car Mom Auto Show is just a couple of days away, and Kelly and Lizz are just two moms trying to do it all! It's been a busy week for everyone, including Tyler, the sole man on the auto show team, who has had to learn how women run meetings. Speaking of Tyler, the big surprise on their Las Vegas trip went off without a hitch. Did they party afterward? More like got to bed by 8:45pm. Did this inspire Kelly's new micro-hobby of creating the perfect bed? Both Kelly and Lizz finished the Carpool Book Club book, "Yesteryear", and have a LOT to say about it. There are some hot takes. Do you agree? Plus, they reveal the chances of another book club selection coming anytime soon.
It's the final Friday episode for a minute, but don't worry because there is PLENTY to talk about! With Lizz going out on maternity leave soon, Tyler might be the one to pick up some of the filming slack. Just one of the many reasons we love Tyler! This conversation quickly turns into a marriage chat with some great tangible takeaways you might want to apply to your own relationship! Also, the 4-1-1 on the surprise Kelly has for Tyler in Las Vegas. Checking with with Last Three Transactions and Kelly is getting ready for an outside summer. Two different kinds of basketball hoops and a ring game for the barn is going to help keep the family occupied. Meanwhile, Lizz is getting ready for baby #3 and buying all-new glass baby bottles and a dresser for the newest member of the family. BIG news in the Stumpe family - George likes cheese again! Find out how they finally got him to eat the food he was refusing to try a couple months ago. Plus, some very real chat on mom guilt and how Kelly is working on reducing the parenting pressure just a bit. Some interesting hot tea from the auto industry today in Industry News. First, why Nissan's new SUV and trucks are so important. Then, Consumer Reports broke down the best used cars for teenagers. If you've got a soon-to-be driver at home, this is one story you're going to want to hear!
The Car Mom Auto Show is just 10 days away! The ladies are in full prep mode getting everything ready for the big weekend. There will be SO much to see and do at the show and it's not too late to get your tickets. CLICK HERE to get yours! It's been a whirlwind week for Kelly. It all started in Washington D.C. to visit the IIHS headquarters and witness a crash test in real life. She learned so much and had some great conversations with Mazda. Did you know they are the safest cars on the market? Then it was off to brother Craig's engagement party. It was derby themed and the entire family showed up. Let's just say Kris knows how to throw a party! Updates on the podcast for the summer are here, and it's a good news/bad news situation. The bad news? They'll go down to one episode a week. The good news? Side Hustle Summer is BACK! If you've got a side hustle feel free to reach out to Kelly or Lizz. But the biggest podcast update: Has Kelly finished the book she was supposed to read for the podcast book club? The answer will probably not surprise you... Kelly's lack of reading could be because she is fully immersing herself in summer with the family. It might not feel like summer yet, but she's not delaying the summer joy. She bought the watermelon. They started the tie-dyeing. Summer starts NOW! She reveals her family's daily summer schedule on today's podcast. Plus, an easy summer dinner in Ditch the Drive Thru reminds you to unleash the power of the Hawaiian roll sliders.
Kelly is Neighborhood Maxxing and feeling a little hungover because of it. Meanwhile, Lizz is searching for the perfect patio furniture to get her backyard summer ready. Both ladies are Summer Maxxing and getting ready to embrace the season. Kelly is committed to make this more summer a more go with the flow vibe, tank top and pony tails included. But will they make it a 90's summer like everyone is talking about on social media? It's time to check in with Last Three Transactions. Lizz is really feeling it this pregnancy and had to buy a belly band to find a little more comfort. She also stole an idea from Kelly and bought a birthday banner. Kelly is continuing to get ready for the summer and bought a tie-dye kit to keep their family summer tie-dye tradition going. She also bought a nice cover-up and a new outdoor fan to round out the summer vibes. In Industry News, Kelly touches on the tragic death of NASCAR driver Busch. Then in Ditch the Drive-Thru, its time to make meatloaf in a muffin tin!
