Welcome to Curb and Canyon – a podcast for Porsche enthusiasts BY Porsche enthusiasts. A collaboration between Porsche tragics, Andy Gaunt of ‘Last Rasp’ and James McGrath of ‘Auto Amateur’, Curb and Canyon is all about the lifestyle choice that is Porsche ownership. We’re not experts, we’re mates having a laugh about owning and driving these great cars, the roads we’ve driven, the upgrades we’ve made, the mods we’ve messed up and the great people we’ve met along the way. We want the world to know how awesome it is to own a car with the Porsche crest on the hood! New episodes dropping weekly with regular guests and panelists from across the Porsche world.

Let us know what you think! Andy has made a firm and final decision: his beloved 964, “Little Green,” is officially going up for sale. We talk through the emotion, the excitement and what might come next in his Porsche ownership journey. James previews the upcoming Bluff Country Run with the MN Porsches and Pancakes crew, carving through the twisting Mississippi River roads between Minnesota and Wisconsin toward La Crosse and the Driftless Region. We also unpack the latest news from Porsche HQ, including more job cuts and the long-overdue realization that the 911 remains the car buyers are lining up around the block to own. Plus, we play Aussie Car Bingo to see whether Andy’s decision inspires anyone else in his group to sell, share a spectacular Video of the Week that somehow isn’t a 964, and deliver plenty more of the usual Porsche-related banter. Tune in, kick back and welcome to Curb and Canyon .
Let us know what you think! IS THIS THE END OF PORSCHE?! THE END OF CURB & CANYON?! Okay… we dropped the ball and completely missed June. But we’re back—and apparently making up for lost time by questioning absolutely everything. James nearly sold his 991. Andy is flirting with selling his 964. One of us has been test-driving potential replacements, so naturally we play “Guess the New Car.” Meanwhile, what on earth is happening at Porsche?! Turbocharged GT3 RS rumors—which surely would make it a GT-TWO-RS ?! Fake gear changes in electric Porsches Nearly 4,000 layoffs at Porsche HQ And growing questions about whether Porsche is losing the obsessive attention to detail and conscious design philosophy that made the brand legendary in the first place… Is this the end of Porsche as we know it? The end of James and Andy’s Porsche ownership? The last-ever episode of Curb & Canyon?! Probably not. But how much clickbait can we cram into a single podcast episode?! There’s only one way to find out… tune in, kick back and welcome to Curb and Canyon.
Let us know what you think! Porsche has released a new update on its finances and business strategy and, somehow, managed to talk about Porsche without really talking about cars. Bold move. So naturally, James and Andy are here to overreact responsibly. This month on Curb and Canyon , we dig into Porsche’s latest corporate brain dump: what it says, what it doesn’t say, and whether anyone in Stuttgart remembered that the whole point of Porsche is usually the cars. Then we climb back into the GT3 convertible / “SC” debate, because apparently James’ opinions escaped into the Porsche community and caused a few people to spill their espresso. Were his takes fair? Was the reaction fair? Is a roofless GT3 genius, madness, marketing sorcery, or all of the above? We also get dangerously carried away with Porsche’s Sonderwunsch program, which sounds like a fantasy factory for people with unlimited money and very specific childhood dreams. So of course we ask the important question: if Porsche handed us the design team, the paint booth, the parts bin, and a completely irresponsible budget… what would we build? And finally, we have another Video of the Week. Andy picked it. So yes, obviously, it features an air-cooled Porsche. Try to look surprised. Fast takes, strong opinions, questionable financial analysis, and just enough Porsche nerdery to get us in trouble again. Tune in, kick back, welcome to Curb and Canyon.
Let us know what you think! Ear Muffs. You've been warned! We're often a little swear'y here at Curb and Canyon but in this episode we're not holding back. James gives us his views on the recent launch of the convertible GT3 (it's hard to type that let alone talk about it), Andy launches into a segment on a term that gets thrown around inappropriately and inaccurately by many Porsche owners and both get rather vocal about the rumored Hyper-Car which is expected to top the 918 Spyder. As if that isn't enough to fill the agenda, Andy's 964 - Little Green - ran into some mechanical trouble recently, we have a different kind of 'Video of the Week' for you and all the usual Porsche banter. Tune in, kick back and welcome to Curb and Canyon.
Let us know what you think! Welcome back to Curb and Canyon! The podcast for Porsche enthusiasts made by Porsche enthusiasts who love talk all things Stuttgart and don't mind getting a little swear'y as they do it - but then what do you expect when you give an Australian and a Brit their own show and just let them have it...?! Join us in this episode where we talk about a recent guest spot we enjoyed on '9 Werks Radio', the Porsche podcast we hope to be when we grow up, with Lee Sibley and Andy Brooks. We're also talking about the apparent demise of the Boxster / Cayman line of sports cars which is a shocking piece of news for many Porsche enthusiasts, we try to answer the question "what would you do if you're car's engine blew up?", video of week and much much more. Tune in, kick back. Welcome to Curb and Canyon.
Let us know what you think! Andy and James close out the year with a Christmas cracker of an episode covering everything from the recent bombshell news of Porsche's financial problems to mods, maintenance, Andy's recent Alpine Range Rally #12 road tour and James' recent tours of the Black Hills and the Smoky Mountains. James talks about the conclusion of his 991's sports exhaust modifications while Andy talks about the most recent bits that have fallen off his 964. Andy's giving his keys to teenage drivers (you do NOT want to miss this segment) and naturally there is a stunning video of the week to round things out. What they may have missed in terms of #episodes dropped this year, hopefully you'll agree they more than make up with quality banter. Tune in, kick back. Welcome to Curb and Canyon.

Let us know what you think! The perfect sports car should look incredible, handle with precision, and sound like it means business—but do modern Porsches deliver on that final criterion? In this episode, Andy questions why a Cayenne GTS sounds more aggressive and exciting than the flagship 911, sparking a debate about whether sound is even essential to the sports car experience. James shares his recent journey to Amelia Island for the annual Werks Reunion event, including an impromptu meeting with Porsche icon Magnus Walker and a hilarious story about a friend who arrived at the gathering an entire week early. Meanwhile, Andy describes his DIY adventures fixing a deteriorated shift boot on his 964 and troubleshooting a mysterious steering noise before his upcoming Alpine Range Rally. Between pickleball victories, car show encounters, and debates about whether they'd choose a GT4 RS or Spyder RS given the opportunity, James and Andy celebrate what makes the Porsche community special: its ability to embrace diverse approaches to enjoying these iconic machines, from purists to modifiers and daily drivers to weekend warriors. Tune in, kick back and welcome to Curb and Canyon.

Let us know what you think! Two pods in two weeks?! You can't get rid of us. In this episode we're going somewhat unscripted because Andy's dog ate the show notes but don't let that put you off, this one's another cracker. We're talking about Andy's recent 'Mega-Loop' Rally and his upcoming 'Alpine Ridge Rally 10' while James is getting ready for his annual pilgrimage to the Smoky Mountains for some dragon slaying at Tail of the Dragon. Tune in, kick back and welcome to Curb and Canyon.
Let us know what you think! Andy and James share their reactions to the 992.2. Porsche just recently announced the second generation 992 and besides adding a T-Hybrid engine that comes with the GTS variant, they're throwing everything else away - no rear seats, no manual transmission, no more key-start ignition, no more analog instrument cluster gauges. The cheek! In this episode we're also talking about the recent lawsuit Porsche brought against million-dollar modifiers 'Singer', we recap Porsche's recent adventures at Le Mans and Andy has a new daily driver! (To be honest, it's not a Beige Volvo, but it might as well be...).
