a down-on-his-luck man named Timothy Shinholster gets laid off from his job, worsening his severe financial struggles with his wife and family. While drowning his sorrows at a local bar, he meets a mysterious stranger named John Black, who offers him a strange wooden box equipped with a backward-running clock and a handle. Black claims the device can alter reality if Tim utters a wish before turning the handle; sarcastically, Tim wishes for "all his bad decisions to be undone." Upon turning the handle, reality dramatically shifts: Tim finds himself elevated to Senior Vice President at his company, driving a luxury car, and residing in a high-end penthouse apartment with a beautiful new partner. However, he soon suffers the devastating realization that by undoing all his past decisions, he erased his marriage and his two children from existence entirely leaving him trapped in a superficial life without the family he truly loved.
Through a series of journal entries spanning August to October 1931, the narrator details the unsettling aftermath of their grandmother’s death and her unusual final request to burn her home down. After inheriting a crate of her artwork and a childhood diary, the narrator becomes haunted by recurring nightmares involving an incomplete painting of a mysterious tunnel and a grotesque creature titled "The Resident." Driven to investigate the origins of these disturbing images, the narrator links the paintings to a dark local legend in their grandmother's hometown involving a cultist named Arthur, an ancient entity, and the murder of a young girl decades earlier. The line between dream and reality shatters as the narrator discovers physical evidence of the creature including strange claw tracks, bloody rituals, and new child vanishings culminating in their return home to find their own family targeted by the entity.
Chris, a homeless former IT technician who secretly moves into an abandoned house, only to become trapped inside a hidden network of crawlspaces in its walls by the house’s terrifying, seemingly supernatural former owner. The old woman torments and controls him, feeding him scraps while treating him like a “little girl,” and Chris gradually discovers disturbing evidence that others may have been trapped there before him. As the house seems to change around him and strange voices and creatures begin moving through the walls, Chris becomes increasingly weak and desperate, ultimately leaving a journal behind as a warning. The chilling twist comes when a real-estate agent finds the journal years later—and begins hearing the same scratching and movement inside the supposedly solid walls.
A former finance worker named Nick joins his meteorology professor, Dr. Alan Warner, and seasoned storm chasers Mallory Guidry and Geoffrey Benoit to pursue a massive supercell in rural Arkansas. As the storm intensifies, the chase escalates into an eerie, supernatural encounter where the clouds, lightning, and wind display disturbing, sentient behavior, mesmerizing Geoffrey and overwhelming Nick. Amid mysterious equipment failures and blackout periods, Geoffrey and Dr. Warner succumb to the storm's strange, siren-like pull, with Dr. Warner ultimately drugging Nick into unconsciousness after cryptically explaining that the sky holds ancient secrets beyond human comprehension. Nick awakens the next morning to discover that Dr. Warner has vanished into the storm, leaving Geoffrey and Mallory to reveal that the entity claims certain chasers just as it had previously taken Geoffrey's father and Dr. Warner's wife leaving Nick forever altered by what he witnessed.
a psychological creepypasta written as journal entries by a narrator trapped in a surreal, monochrome hellscape where the sun has gone out, the ground is made of bleeding flesh, and humanity has transformed into pale, featureless "drones." Forced to strictly maintain their mundane daily routine to avoid being swarmed by these mindless husks, the protagonist navigates a surreal nightmare that is disrupted by the arrival of "The Hanger"—a grotesque, hostile entity bearing a noose
fter the family's long-maligned conspiracy theorist, Uncle Peter, suddenly vanishes, the narrator follows a trail of local rumors to a hidden, Cold War-era bomb shelter in an Indiana cornfield. Upon finding Peter terrified and holed up inside, the narrator learns he is being hunted by towering, screeching, slimy creatures that have stalked him through the fields. When the narrator's mother and sister arrive nearby, Peter willingly steps outside to surrender himself to the creatures to protect his family. In a bizarre climax, the entities wrap Peter in their limbs and levitate into the sky before disappearing with a deafening boom, leaving the family to silently accept that Peter's lifelong, seemingly wild beliefs were finally vindicated.

After being rendered unconscious, Terry is captured by the creature—which is revealed to be the Cherokee myth Spearfinger (U'tlun'ta')—and discovers his brother Nathan has been brainwashed into serving it, while his true mother and Vera have both been murdered. Terrified, Henry smashes the tape, but that night he suffers a nightmare reenacting her horrific on the playground under the camera's gaze. The story ends on a chilling cliffhanger as Henry wakes up and realizes the disfigured girl's face is staring at him, not from the television screen, but directly through his bedroom window.
Blog posts written by Ariana Gomez—a young paramedic who recounts her encounters with a bizarre, mouthless, purple-and-green cartoon monkey that does not exist in mainstream pop culture. As a child, Ariana first encounters the character on a box of "Shredder Shocks" cereal purchased at an eerie, out-of-place gas station selling unfamiliar products. Years later, she finds an untagged plush toy of the same monkey falling off a shelf at a toy store. Her obsession deepens as an adult when a dying, delirious patient recognizes the plush toy, frantically warning her that "The Shredder Monkey" is a malevolent entity that stalks individuals through strange, anomalous mediums—like impossibility-laden cereal mazes and cryptic word puzzles—to break down their minds and drag them into an alternate realm. As Ariana attempts to solve the eerie clues left behind, she realizes the plush toy in her room is gradually changing positions and coming to life, leading to her sudden, mysterious disappearance as her final blog entries grow increasingly unhinged.
A single mother (Felicia) struggles with financial hardship and grief following the murder of her husband, all while trying to protect her young son, Benjamin, from "The Thing" a malevolent entity taking the form of a child that has haunted her family for generations. After the entity leaves a ominous message in toy blocks inside her locked home, Felicia decides to actively fight back rather than live in fear. Enrolling in an anthropology course on folklore and mythology, she researches supernatural boundaries and rules to understand the entity's vulnerabilities. Through her study of cross-cultural legends and urban folklore, she attempts to uncover the entity's origin and true nature in order to break the nightmare cycle before it claims her son.
A down-on-his-luck artist named Jack takes a high-paying overnight security job guarding an isolated, modern art gallery, only to be left alone by his mysterious employer with a set of bizarre, mandatory rules to follow throughout the night. As the shift progresses and Jack attempts to obey the absurd instructions—such as covering specific paintings, keeping his eyes glued to the floor in certain hallways, and hiding beneath his desk—he realizes the gallery is haunted by terrifying paranormal forces and twisted manifestations that make escape impossible. Stuck inside the building with escalating surreal horrors, Jack must strictly follow the remaining rules to survive until his morning shift ends.
Set in northern Norway near the town of Lakselev, the creepypasta follows a recent transplant exploring the dense forest of Isengleskogen who encounters a beautiful, woman effortlessly gliding through the snow without leaving any footprints. As he pursues her deeper into the wilderness, he quickly becomes lost as his own tracks mysteriously vanish—a disorientation reminiscent of Norwegian folklore surrounding huldre or utburd trickery—while the woman's pristine appearance violently decays before his eyes into a blue, skeletal, frostbitten corpse. Frantically fleeing from this supernatural entity as the sun sets over the freezing woods, the narrator falls into a hypnotic trance induced by her icy gaze and the numbing cold, only escaping when he finally stumbles back upon the edge of town, forever haunted by the malevolent spirit in the snow.
A marine biologist who discovers a massive, mysterious, and armored 20-foot organic mass washed up on a beach during her nightly walk. Believing it to be a unique scientific find, she enlists her coworker, Raoul, and a group of friends to help transport the specimen to their lab. As the group drinks and struggles to move the heavy, strangely non-decomposing "carcass," they begin to notice unsettling characteristics, such as an exoskeleton-like texture and movements that suggest the creature might not be a dead whale at all, but rather a living, potentially dangerous new species that is beginning to wake up.
Written by Raidra An artist hired to illustrate a cryptid guidebook notices their employer become visibly terrified when asked how to depict a "melon head"—a humanoid urban legend native to the region. Curious about her reaction, the illustrator researches the lore on a lunch break and discovers that the melon heads were allegedly hydrocephalic orphans subjected to horrific medical experimentation before escaping into the nearby woods as feral, hostile mutants. Empathizing with his employer's obvious trauma, the narrator gently offers a safe space for her to talk, prompting her to finally open up about a tragic personal connection to the dark history behind the regional legend.
A young man following in his father's footsteps as a Sherpa guide, despite his desire to leave that life behind. He recounts the legend of Zamba, a legendary Sherpa guide from decades past. According to the lore, Zamba was so dedicated to his duty that when a massive tragedy struck his expedition, he sacrificed his own life to ensure hundreds of climbers survived. In recognition of this ultimate sacrifice, the mountain gods supposedly granted him a form of immortality, allowing him to remain on the mountain as a silent guardian who punishes those who show disrespect or laziness toward their duty. The narrator finds himself guiding a group of self-absorbed, incompetent clients—including a social media influencer and a wealthy, entitled amateur—who have no respect for the mountain or the dangers it presents. As the expedition progresses, the line between myth and reality begins to blur. The "legend" of Zamba becomes a terrifying threat, as the group encounters a malicious, reanimated force on the slopes that seems intent on exacting violent justice on those who have failed their duties or disrespected the sacred mountain.
What begins as an unsettling experience in the deep wilderness quickly turns into a relentless psychological and physical nightmare. The protagonist realizes the entity isn't just following them; it actively tries to manipulate, provoke, and compel them into turning around to face it directly. Forced to keep moving forward without ever glancing back, the protagonist must navigate escalating terror while battling the constant, overwhelming instinct to look at the thing lurking inches behind them.
