In this episode Kerry provides an overview of the fall of Israel to the Assyrian Empire. and the scattering of the ten tribes. He shows how Judah comes under the control of the Assyrian Empire. He sets things up for the discussion that he and his wife, Julianne, have regarding the fall of Israel and the rescue of Jerusalem. Together they contrast the two kingdoms during that time period and how the kings of Israel turned to idols while Hezekiah turned to the Lord. They delve into the way Hezekiah learned to rely on God after having started to rely on the world. They discuss Isaiah's role in this and lessons we can learn from it. Kerry addresses the false idea that Israel was supposed to be worshipping a female deity.
