What if the things we've been taught to fear aren't actually the things we should be afraid of? This in episode we're diving into the darkness. From my lifelong obsession with horror, haunted houses, and all things spooky; to the history of demons, witch hunts, and the suppression of feminine sexuality, we're exploring how darkness became synonymous with evil—and who REALLY benefits from keeping us afraid. We get into Carl Jung's concept of the shadow, the parts of ourselves we've been conditioned to repress, and why avoiding the things that make us uncomfortable often gives them more power over us. I also break down the symbolism behind two of my favorite tarot cards, The Devil and The Lovers, and what they can teach us about attachment, control, freedom, and self-trust. In this episode, we explore: Growing up on horror movies and never having a nightmare Why we're conditioned to fear darkness and the unfamiliar The history of demons, the occult, and the persecution of witches How shame and social conditioning disconnect us from pleasure Why menopause used to be a woman’s power era.. But now it’s something to dread Carl Jung, the shadow, and what happens when we repress parts of ourselves The hidden symbolism connecting The Devil and The Lovers in tarot The numerology of 666 and what the pentagram represents How attachment, avoidance, and control keep us trapped Why reclaiming your darkness might be the key to becoming whole Questions to reflect on: What were you taught to fear? Which parts of yourself have you learned to hide? And what might change if you trusted yourself enough to finally let them out? If this episode resonates, leave me a comment on Spotify or share it with someone who's ready to explore the darker parts of themselves. This episode is for the people who are doing everything right, BUT STILL can’t stop thinking about food. From the foundations that make hunger easier to manage to a few questionable tricks.. Tune in to learn the strategies Christina and her clients use to quiet the food noise and stay on track, even when it gets uncomfortable. Topics Discussed: When to address your nutrition BEFORE trying to suppress hunger Hunger during a fat loss phase vs a building phase The 90 second rule for riding out a craving The first few days of eating clean and the role of gut bacteria Why dropping calories too quickly can sabotage you Protein bars, protein chips, protein wraps = PRO-cessed crap The connection between poor sleep and nonstop food noise Supplements that cover up a symptom you were supposed to fix High volume vs low volume eating Emergency "0" calorie food options Ways to interrupt food fixation Meditation, visualization, and a hypnosis story Some “toxic” tips - Take ‘em or leave ‘em. This episode explores one of the trickiest paradoxes of personal responsibility: knowing when to take ownership, and knowing when something was never yours to carry. What if the thing making you suffer isn’t actually the thing happening to you... but the meaning you’ve attached to it? A number on the scale. Eating “junk-food”. Feeling hungry. Your spouse saying something that triggers you. Getting older. Feeling “behind” in life.. Christina unpacks what it actually means to stop outsourcing your suffering and take responsibility for the stories, beliefs and patterns shaping your life. Because personal responsibility does NOT mean blaming yourself for everything, carrying everyone else's behaviour, or assuming every disappointment, trigger or conflict is somehow yours to fix. Topics Discussed: • Why the meaning you attach to something can create more suffering than the experience itself • The difference between personal accountability and self blame • How unconscious beliefs and identity shape your habits, triggers and emotional reactions • Why change feels so hard at first... until eventually, it doesn’t • How this shows up with food, hunger, the scale and the “I’ll start again Monday” mentality • Why arbitrary timelines around age, success and being “behind” can keep you stuck • Learning when an old belief or coping mechanism that once protected you has become something you need to put down Key Links: 📱 Christina's Instagram 💪 Cut & Conquer Instagram 📝 Coaching Application 🌍 Free FB Community 🧠 Free “Skool” Fitness Material Want to try Female-Focused Beef Organ Supplements? 👑 Get 25% OFF Primal Queen No discount code needed, simply use the link above. 🌶️ Healthy Devil Seasoning [DISCOUNT CODE: BEYONDTHEBODY] Hosted on Acast. Cut & Conquer is GROWING and this episode is a little different because… it is actually a job offer. 👀 I’m looking for the right person to join the Cut & Conquer coaching team and potentially even build a long-term career with us. So if you’re passionate about fitness, considering a career change, already working in the industry, OR have wondered what it would actually take to become an online coach… you’ll want to listen to this one! Topics Discussed: The coaching position we are currently hiring for Why I'm using the podcast instead of a normal job posting What skills, values, and non-negotiables I am looking for in this role The freedom of working remotely AND the level of responsibility that comes with it Why coaching is really selling someone on believing in themselves, not just handing them a plan The difference between passive coaching and the ACTIVE coaching approach we use at Cut & Conquer Who our clients are, the types of goals we coach, and the kind of background that will help you thrive in this role The opportunity for growth with this role as a part of the Cut & Conquer team And most importantly… who SHOULD apply and who absolutely should NOT. I’m NOT looking for someone who wants a temporary side hustle, some quick extra money, or something to fill the gap until their “real job” comes along. I’m looking for someone who genuinely wants to build a career in this industry , continue learning, become an incredible coach, and potentially grow alongside Cut & Conquer for years to come. This episode examines how corrupt the education system can be. Karley and I explore how from a very young age, we're taught that intelligence equals good grades, failure results in shame, and authority means truth. Meanwhile we're taught almost nothing about emotional regulation, critical thinking, money, nutrition, or self-trust. We also discuss the consequences of overwhelmed teachers, oversized classrooms, university regret, trade school, technology, AI, creativity, political and social conditioning, generational trauma; and why some children are labelled as difficult, disruptive, or incapable when they may simply be bored, unsupported, or learning differently. There ARE incredible teachers, great schools, and good intentions throughout the system. That isn’t the point. The point is that our major institutions, from schools to medicine to government, are built on the same disconnected principles of: conformity, compliance, and control. Topics Discussed: How fear of failure becomes tied to self-worth Different learning styles and why the system mainly supports one Uncertainty as the root fear underneath most human behavior Generational trauma, and how deep it actually runs The influence of media, AI, politics, and social conditioning on what we accept as true The loss of creativity, imagination, play, and the ability to be alone with our own thoughts Questioning authority instead of inheriting belief systems Parenting differently, and raising kids who think for themselves Intelligence was never supposed to look the same in every person. And a system that cannot recognize your strengths does not get to define your potential. What can fire teach us about healing, growth, relationships, spirituality, and becoming the person you're meant to be? In this episode, Christina explores fire through multiple lenses: literal, astrological, Ayurvedic, plant medicine, personal development, and even industrial firefighting. She explores fire's dual nature as creator and destroyer, the "fire triangle," and how those same principles apply to emotional suppression, self-sabotage, relationships, and transformation. She also dives into the role of fire in the body through the solar plexus, digestion, gut health, ancient healing systems, and medical astrology. Inspired by a recent trip to Texas to observe firefighter training, this episode ultimately asks why humans have always been captivated by fire, and what we've forgotten since modern life distanced us from it. Topics Discussed: Fire as both destruction and creation: Why transformation requires something old to burn away The symbolism of fire in Tarot, astrology, human language, and ancient medicine Fire as the element of passion, courage, vitality, sexuality, and personal transformation The Fire Triangle and lessons from industrial firefighting Fort McMurray wildfires, controlled burns, and why suppression and unresolved conflict create emotional "fuel loads" Fire as ritual and connection: Campfires, ceremony, BBQ, and creating meaning How fire shaped human evolution: from cooking to brain development Gut health, emotional regulation, and the gut-brain connection The solar plexus, digestion, and the fire element in astrological and Ayurvedic medicine Ginger, turmeric, cayenne, aloe, and the energetic language of herbs Building a daily "elements check-in" practice (fire, water, air, earth) for more intentional living Synchronicities, symbolism, and finding deeper connections in everyday life The question isn't whether fire exists in your life.. it's what are you willing to let it burn, and what are you ready to ignite?🔥 Don’t forget to drop a comment letting Christina know which element you want covered next: 🌊 Water: emotions, intuition, relationships 💨 Air: thoughts, cognition, mindset 🌍 Earth: body, career, physical reality Key Links: 📱 Christina's Instagram 💪 Cut & Conquer Instagram 📝 Coaching Application 🌍 Free FB Community 🧠 Free “Skool” Fitness Material Want to try Female-Focused Beef Organ Supplements? 👑 Get 25% OFF Primal Queen No discount code needed, simply use the link above. 🌶️ Healthy Devil Seasoning [SAVE 10% WITH CODE: BEYONDTHEBODY] Hosted on Acast. This episode is a full-circle look at what happens when fitness stops being JUST about weight loss, and becomes the catalyst for deeper personal growth. Christina is joined by her longtime friend and client Karley to reflect on how much they have both changed since meeting in 2018. From confidence and body image to binge eating, relationships, and belief systems, this conversation is about learning how to actually embody the person you keep saying you want to become. Karley shares her 160 pound weight loss journey, the foundation she had to build to make it last, and why quick fixes, surgery, medications, supplements, and social media trends can never replace the deeper work of learning to trust yourself, fuel your body, and build a life you can actually sustain. This episode is raw, funny, honest, and deeply human. It is about friendship, healing, letting go of old versions of yourself, and choosing who you want to become instead of living by the beliefs, stereotypes, and opinions that were handed to you. Key Topics Discussed: Karley’s journey with bipolar disorder, emotional regulation, and rebuilding her relationship with her mom Christina’s business growth, binge eating struggles, sleep issues, and control patterns The addictive comfort of pain, trauma, and chaos Outgrowing relationships that once served you How a healthy body and relationship with food creates space for deeper change Ozempic, peptides, and PEDs — when they're a tool vs a crutch Why crash diets, generic plans, and social media keep people stuck Realistic meal prep systems for busy people Choosing your beliefs instead of inheriting them from your family, culture, workplace, or social media Becoming more authentic and caring less about other people’s opinions Honest friendships and being truly seen by someone who knows the real you Key Links: 📱 Christina's Instagram 💪 Cut & Conquer Instagram 📝 Coaching Application 🌍 Free FB Community 🧠 Free “Skool” Fitness Material Want to try Female-Focused Beef Organ Supplements? 👑 Get 25% OFF Primal Queen No discount code needed, simply use the link above. 🌶️ Healthy Devil Seasoning [DISCOUNT CODE: BEYONDTHEBODY10] Episodes Mentioned: EP162: Karley’s 160lb Weight Loss Journey EP163: Weight Loss Surgery, Fitness Shaming & Relationships: What No One Talks About Hosted on Acast. This is not a “cute personality test” overview. This is deep inner-shadow work, emotional excavation, and probably one of the most confronting episodes in this entire show. In Part 3 of 3, Christina breaks down psycho-spiritual growth via the Enneagram framework, exploring how each type’s core fixation, passion, defense mechanism, and virtue reveal the unconscious patterns that shape their personality. If you’ve ever wondered why certain people trigger you, why relationships expose parts of you that solitude never will, or why your own personality can feel like both your greatest strength and biggest weakness, this episode will land. Christina walks through each Enneagram type with deeply personal stories, relationship examples, provocative insights, and practical guidance to help you better understand yourself, your patterns, and the people closest to you. This is shadow work made personal, and if something in here makes you want to turn it off — that's probably where you need to really lean in. If you are new to this series, start with Episode 187 or, even better, Episode 183 for the deeper foundation. Key Topics Discussed: What psycho-spiritual growth actually means Defining your ego, soul, personality, and true self The fixation, passion, and virtue of each type How your type’s fixation creates confirmation bias and limits your perception Mental and emotional patterns driving your behavior at the deepest level The role of subtypes: self-preservation, social, and sexual instincts How relationships become mirrors for your unresolved patterns Different forms of procrastination Common defense mechanisms of each type What each type needs in relationships — and what they wish you knew but probably won't tell you Chapters 00:00 Intro + Warning: This episode is deep inner work 04:17 What psycho-spiritual growth actually means 07:18 Passion vs. fixation vs. virtue vs. defense mechanism 17:22 The head, heart, and body centers explained 30:00 Instincts, subtypes, and instinctual stacking 26:39 Why subtypes can matter more than wings 30:16 Why relationships are necessary for true growth 39:14 Type 8: vengeance, lust, innocence, and denial 53:55 Type 9: indolence, sloth, right action, and dissociation 01:04:29 Type 1: resentment, anger, serenity, and reaction formation 01:13:22 Type 2: flattery, pride, humility, and repression 01:25:24 Type 3: vanity, self-deceit, veracity, and identification 01:47:03 Type 4: melancholy, envy, equanimity, and introjection 01:58:06 Type 5: stinginess, avarice, non-attachment, and surrender 02:35:31 Type 6: cowardice, fear, courage, and projection 02:48:45 Type 7: planning, gluttony, sobriety, and rationalization 03:02:55 Final reflections: your personality is not the enemy, but it is not the whole truth Take the Enneagram Test Below: https://www.truity.com/test/enneagram-personality-test Instinctual Subtype Stacking Quiz: https://evolvingenneagram.com/instinctual-stacking-guide-questionnaire More Enneagram Resources: 🧠 Enneagram Typecast Podcast 🧑🤝🧑 Your Enneagram in Relationships Episodes Other Beyond the Body Episodes Mentioned: EP188: The Enneagram Breakdown You Didn't Know You Needed - Part 2 Ep 187: The Medicalization of Personality - Part 1 Ep 186: Why You’re Being Misunderstood - Part 3 Ep 184: Exposing the Patterns Keeping Us Stuck - Part 2 Ep 183: Releasing Self Judgment: The Illusion of Perfection - Part 1 Key Links: 📱 Christina's Instagram 💪 Cut & Conquer Instagram 📝 Coaching Application 🌍 Free FB Community 🧠 Free “Skool” Fitness Material Want to try Female-Focused Beef Organ Supplements? 👑 Get 25% OFF Primal Queen No discount code needed, simply use the link above. 🌶️ Healthy Devil Seasoning [DISCOUNT CODE: BEYONDTHEBODY10] Hosted on Acast. In Part 2 of this 3-Part series, Christina breaks down all nine Enneagram types — including core wounds, motivations, fears, shadow characteristics, stress and growth lines, relationship patterns, and centers of intelligence. You may think your personality is who you are… but what if it’s something different? In Part 1 of this 3-Part series, Christina breaks down the concept of personality from its origins in ancient frameworks to how it became something medicalized in modern society — revealing that the more disconnected you are from your TRUE SELF, the easier you are to predict, control, and monetize. But sadly, most people don’t even realize it’s happening. Christina shares her personal experience with emotional processing, communication, and perception, including the tool that completely shifted how she understood her own patterns, and even reality. She also breaks down how you can start using that same tool to understand yourself, and others in a way you never have before. If you haven't listened to Beyond the Body episodes 183, 184, and 186 yet — start there. Understanding how YOU’VE been trained to reinforce the patterns you call “your personality” hits differently when you already understand why you became who you think you are. 🤯 Topics Discussed: Why "that's just how I am" is the most limiting thing you can say about yourself Where “personality” actually came from, and how it has evolved The elements (fire, water, earth, air) as an ancient lens for imbalance and deficiency How human behavior became something to diagnose, control, and monetize Christina’s psychological struggles with emotional disconnect and relationships Christina’s unhelpful experience working with a psychologist A critical look at “Personality Type Tests” — including one that goes deeper than the rest How core fears and motivations drive your behaviour Why avoiding triggers can block your ability to emotionally regulate How psychology tools can free you... or trap you deeper Key Links: 📱 Christina's Instagram 💪 Cut & Conquer Instagram 📝 Coaching Application 🌍 Free FB Community 🧠 Free “Skool” Fitness Material Take the Enneagram Test Below: https://www.truity.com/test/enneagram-personality-test Want to try Female-Focused Beef Organ Supplements? 👑 Get 25% OFF Primal Queen No discount code needed, simply use the link above. 🌶️ Healthy Devil Seasoning [DISCOUNT CODE: BEYONDTHEBODY10] Episodes Mentioned: Ep 183: Releasing Self Judgment: The Illusion of Perfection - Part 1 Ep 184: Exposing the Patterns Keeping Us Stuck - Part 2 Ep 186: Why You’re Being Misunderstood - Part 3 Hosted on Acast. Christina examines one of the most misunderstood aspects of communication: the gap between what is said, what is meant, and what is actually heard. Most people believe communication is about clarity… saying the right thing, using the right words, or explaining themselves better. But this episode challenges that assumption entirely. Christina unpacks how meaning is not contained within language itself, but constructed by the person receiving it. Through personal stories and evidence-based insights, she explores how differences in perception, attachment patterns, nervous system responses, and conditioning shape every interaction. Topics Discussed: Why communication is not just about what you say, but what the other person takes from it How attachment styles, triggers and past experiences shape perception and meaning Personal stories of how communication breaks down via assumptions and misinterpretation The role of media, social conditioning, and observed behavior in shaping communication patterns Self-regulation vs. using your partner as an emotional outlet Love languages, their limitations, and the concept of “reverse love language” Ego, defensiveness, and the need to be right vs. the desire to connect The role of metacognition in interrupting reactive patterns Turning conflict into connection instead of a power struggle This conversation challenges listeners to move into deeper awareness, responsibility, and intentionality with their communication; recognizing that you are not just speaking, but simultaneously interpreting and assigning meaning. Because often, the issue isn’t what was said…It’s that what was heard wasn’t what was meant. Organ meats and ancestral nutrition aren’t a trend.. They’re a return to how the human body was designed to be nourished! And organ supplements are one way to reintroduce the highly bioavailable, tissue-specific nutrients that most of us lack. In this episode, I unpack the common dismissal of women’s health concerns in modern medicine, simply because their blood work falls within "normal ranges", or they appear “healthy”. We talk about how symptoms like painful periods, irregular cycles, weight gain, mood instability, fatigue, and low libido have become so normalized they’re brushed off as stress, age, or “just hormones", rather than addressing potential underlying nutrient depletion that organ-based nutrition can help support. I explain why hormones don’t work in isolation, why nutrient density in food matters more than most people realize, and why standard labs only show a piece of what’s actually happening inside the body. This episode also dives into the underrepresentation of women (specifically post-menopause) in medical research, how that impacts treatment, and why nutrition deserves far more respect in modern health conversations. I also share my personal experience with cycle irregularity, Primal Queen Supplements, and why organ-based nutrition is part of my own routine. Key Topics: The ancestral concept of “like supports like” with organ-specific nutrition Modern diets lack the enzymes, cofactors, and bioavailable micronutrients organs provide Painful periods, cycle irregularity, mood instability, fatigue, weight gain, and low libido How “normal” blood work can still coexist with very devastating symptoms Estrogen metabolism, liver function, mitochondrial health, and nervous system overload The underrepresentation of women in clinical research and its consequences Why most organ supplements stop at liver, heart, and kidney Why I like Primal Queen Supplements: inclusion of female reproductive organs Proper supplement sourcing, third-part testing, digestion, and individualized context Why supplements can never replace food, training, recovery, and lifestyle Key Links: 📱 Christina's Instagram 💪 Cut & Conquer Instagram 📝 Coaching Application 🌍 Free FB Community 🧠 Free “Skool” Fitness Material Want to try Female-Focused Beef Organ Supplements? 👑 Get 25% OFF Primal Queen No discount code needed, simply use the link above. 🌶️ Healthy Devil Seasoning [DISCOUNT CODE: BEYONDTHEBODY10] Episodes Mentioned: EP:157 Nutrition for Healthy Hormones & Weight Loss EP:160 Food, Fat Loss, & Muscle Growth Hosted on Acast. In Part 2 of this series, we move beyond awareness and into pattern recognition: how your unconscious is running the show, even when you think you’re making aligned decisions. Because whatever is unacknowledged inside of you, will express itself outside of you. This episode builds directly on Part 1, where we explored how fear-based scripts were formed before you had the awareness to question them. Now, we unpack the idea of “as above, so below” and how unacknowledged beliefs inevitably show up as habits, behaviors, and repeated life situations. I share personal examples from my own life and patterns I see with fitness clients at Cut & Conquer, especially around binge eating, discipline, and self-sabotage. This episode introduces three core energetic signatures that commonly keep people stuck, not as labels, but as lenses for understanding behavior without self-judgment. The goal isn’t to fix yourself, but to see clearly enough to choose differently. Topics Discussed: How unconscious fear-based agreements still run your behavior, even during “self-improvement” “As above, so below”: How internal beliefs create external patterns Over-correction as protection: hyper-independence, perfectionism, and control Why binge eating, sabotage, and “lack of discipline” are signals, not flaws The 3 energetic signatures that commonly run people’s lives: - The Defensive Self (Armored One archetype) - The Unrealized Self (Eternal Girl archetype) - The Dissociated Self (Unseen One archetype) How attachment styles and nervous system responses shape fitness, relationships, and consistency Projection, judgment, and why what triggers you isn’t actually about other people Using awareness and metacognition to interrupt patterns before they repeat Envy vs jealousy: different wounds, different stories, different survival strategies Key Links: 📱 Christina's Instagram 💪 Cut & Conquer Instagram 📝 Coaching Application 🌍 Free FB Community 🧠 Free “Skool” Fitness Material Episode Sponsors: 🌶️ Healthy Devil Seasoning [DISCOUNT CODE: BEYONDTHEBODY10] 💊 BulkBully Supplements [DISCOUNT CODE: BEYONDTHEBODY15] Hosted on Acast. Christina examines perfection culture and how systems, conditioned responses, and inherited beliefs teach us to self-abandon in order to feel accepted, worthy, or safe. She explores how these patterns shape our emotional responses, fuel people-pleasing, and keep us chasing approval at the expense of our authenticity. The conversation highlights the role of ego, self-reflection, and the courage it takes to question beliefs you didn’t consciously choose. In part 1 of this 2 part series, Christina invites listeners to challenge long-held assumptions, reconnect with their inner truth, and explore authenticity not as an image… but as a path back to self-trust and personal freedom. Topics Discussed: The illusion of perfection and why it disconnects us from ourselves How meaning gets attached to flaws, mistakes, and identity People-pleasing as a response to rejection and emotional safety How our emotional reactions are shaped by internalized beliefs Why guilt and shame show up when we challenge old beliefs The freedom that comes from questioning assumptions Authenticity as a path to personal freedom This is part one of a two-part series. Part Two: “Exposing the Patterns That Keep Us Stuck” will release next week — where we go even deeper into identifying and breaking the loops that keep you trapped in perfection, self-judgment, and emotional reactivity. Christina dives into the intricate relationship between consciousness and reality, urging listeners to question societal norms and the systems that shape our lives. She explores the impact of these systems on health, the nature of consciousness, and the role of language in shaping identity. Christina emphasizes the importance of personal responsibility in navigating the medical system and challenges the conventional education system's approach to individuality. Highlighting how institutions like schools, government, Big Food, and Big Pharma profit from our disconnection and compliance. She also breaks down different worldviews, how labels become self-fulfilling spells, and why your fitness, body image, and health are the gateway to deeper awakening. The conversation culminates in a discussion about co-creation and personal evolution, encouraging listeners to question everything—starting with their own beliefs. Topics Discussed: The difference between consciousness and “objective” reality — and why our understanding of both may be incomplete How systems and institutions profit from you staying disconnected, unhealthy, and compliant Why most people never realize they’re running unconscious scripts that shape their emotions, choices, and opportunities The materialist model vs. alternative views of consciousness — including the idea that the brain may receive rather than produce awareness Placebo, nocebo, and how beliefs can literally create physical responses in the body How language and labels become identity cages and self-fulfilling prophecies The limitations of a pill-for-everything medical culture: stabilization of symptoms vs. holistic healing How the education system trains compliance over curiosity and self-trust Why body image, health, and fitness are foundational for deeper self-growth The tension between social media algorithms and authentic expression Pulling apart cultural conditioning around marriage, “doctors know best,” and “school is everything” What it really means to question your beliefs and choose evolution instead of staying “safe” in old identities If you’ve been searching for something deeper, this episode hands you a key. What you choose to unlock from here is yours to discover. Listen with curiosity — and be willing to rethink everything you thought you knew. After 8+ years of coaching weight loss transformations, I am bringing you my ULTIMATE TOP 5 TIPS. If you’ve been chasing “weight loss” for years and still feel stuck, listen to this before you start another program. This is NOT your typical “eat more protein and walk 10K steps” weight loss advice... We talk about why fat loss and weight loss are not the same thing, and why your results will always mirror the level of self-respect and self-trust you bring into the process. I explain why refusing to take nutrition seriously can keep you stuck for YEARS — no matter how hard you workout — and why quality, strategic weight training matters far more than chasing soreness or calorie burn. You’ll learn how to treat cardio like a strategic tool, not a punishment, and how to anchor your progress in structure instead of relying on “motivation”. I also bring some tough-love around sacrifice, repetition, and belief-shifts. We unpack what it actually looks like to weigh your food, say “no,” cut back on takeout and alcohol, bring your meals to events, and embrace a season of “boring” structure; so you can finally stop chasing the same weight loss goal year after year, and step into your era of health, consistency, and self-respect. Topics Discussed: The link between self-trust and keeping promises to yourself Setting boundaries with coworkers, friends, family, and “fitness shamers” Form, control, tempo, and time under tension in your workouts The mistake of trying to build muscle and lose fat with the same approach Cutting back takeout, alcohol, restaurant food, and grazing Structure and repetition as the real drivers of transformation How shift work, PCOS, menopause, parenting, etc. affect your journey Reframing carbs, restriction, and the idea that dieting has to suck Letting go of old identities and patterns so you’re not repeating the same loops Creating your life from self-respect and self-trust instead of shame and scarcity This episode marks the end of an era for Beyond the Body, and next week we begin a new chapter with the show rebrand. Every December at Cut & Conquer we sit down and reflect on the year. What worked, what didn’t, what lessons we learned, and the beliefs we had to outgrow. Bella joins me to unpack the year in regards to personal development, fitness, relationships, coaching, and real life. We uphold tradition by picking our 2026 “word of the year,” and get real about our own strengths, weak spots, and growth strategies. 2025 truly surprised me in ways I didn’t expect. I questioned rules I’d lived by for years, leaned into vulnerability, and found progress in places I used to fear. If you’re tired of the “new year, same noise,” this is the episode that gives you real-life stories with depth, anchors, and a clearer lens for your own future. Topics Discussed: Our “word of the year” for 2026 Why I replaced resolutions with a single word five years ago — and never looked back 2025’s biggest lessons, favorite memories, and proudest accomplishments Questioning rules and social norms we take for granted Curiosity over judgment + conflict without ego Strengths that emerged and weak spots that surfaced What made progress in fitness feel easier The meaning we attach to emotions and how that affects behavior No matter what time of year you decide to tune in, If you’re looking for practical takeaways with real depth, you’ll get both.
