Amanda returns to Appalachia following her intel-gathering mission in Cincinnati and brings back potentially devastating news about the Syndicate's plans, both for Appalachia and for her. But with this bad news comes a startling revelation about the very nature of the Syndicate and who is pulling its strings. Meanwhile, at Fort Atlas, Odessa, Knight Jenkins, and Knight Carlson meet to discuss what they've learned from Gralsburg's Deep Archive and how it relates to a figure from Carlson's past. Armed with a renewed sense of clarity, they undertake a radical new course of action to save Appalachia. At the Spider's Web, Beth meets a mysterious traveler who offers a sense of perspective that she'd been lacking since returning home.
Beth, Odessa, and Amanda return from their adventure in Gralsburg and immediately find themselves back in the middle of the Syndicate's operation. Beth struggles with the emotional and psychological ramifications of her time in Gralsburg and weighs what she's gained versus what she's lost. Odessa meets with Rahmani to discuss her journey and the myriad implications of what they found. Meanwhile, still in Cincinnati, Amanda makes a shocking discovery about a previously unrevealed aspect of the Syndicate's plans. Odessa and Amanda's search for Beth finally brings them to Gralsburg, but the situation is not as it seems. A conversation with Sheriff Eamon Byrne leads to a discussion with Adrian and Louisa Corbin about the woman they know as Isabelle and whether or not they've finally learned her true identity. Meanwhile, Beth prepares for a ceremony in which Louisa will pass the torch - and the Sash of Ceridwen - to Sylvia and the two friends reflect on the impact each has had on the other since Beth traversed the Veil and became Isabelle. But will a reunion with Odessa bring Beth back to the fore?

Beth finds herself a stranger in a strange land and tries to acclimate herself to her new surroundings while still plagued by amnesia. As she's looked after by one of Gralsburg's most influential families, she tries to understand her new situation as the Corbins assess what her arrival means for the future of their home. Meanwhile, back in Appalachia, Odessa, unaware of Beth's disappearance, visits Scribe Navia and they bond over technology and reflect on the positive influence both that the Brotherhood has had on the region and that they've had on the Brotherhood and its institutions.
As Beth leaves town to wrap up her latest mission, Odessa works on wedding plans and tries to pry information on the bachelorette party out of Amanda. Later, Beth attempts to infiltrate a criminal syndicate with its eyes on Appalachia.
The imminent threat of an interdimensional incursion from an unstoppable enemy looms as Devon races to complete the preparations necessary to prevent it. During a lull in the action, Amanda, Beth, and Odessa take a moment to take stock of how far they've come in the past two years. Beth and Odessa grapple with devastating news amid an uncertain future.
A disturbing visitor changes the parameters of the mission as the roles of the Seven come into clearer focus. Derek deals with the imminent resolution of his competing but intimately related purposes in coming to Appalachia.
Beth and Odessa find themselves back in the thick of things, dealing both with the fallout from their multiverse adventures and the impact of what they learned about themselves and their loved ones while they were away. Meanwhile, Devon and the Brotherhood use what they've learned from Beth and Odessa's travels to get the portal equipment up and running so they can close off the interdimensional pathway and prevent the Untainted from invading.
As Beth and Odessa reel from a pair of startling revelations, their resolve to find their way back home strengthens further. As they weigh their options, they turn to trusted friends as well as their new allies and must decide whether or not to tell them the true nature of their presence here.
After discovering the source of the anomalies that have plagued Appalachia and thrown their lives into disarray, Beth and Odessa find themselves separated as they struggle to ground themselves amid a seismic shift in their situation. Beth finds comfort with her family while Odessa teams up with powerful new allies who provide insight into the nature of the anomalies and may finally provide the beginnings of a strategy to deal with them.
The team formulates a plan to determine the source of the phenomenon in an attempt both to discern its origins and to stop it before its impact spreads. Beth and Odessa have a contentious conversation after Beth walks in on an emotional interaction between Odessa and Derek. A new ally enters the fray, but just when answers - and perhaps even a solution - seem imminent, everything is thrown into disarray.
Following Beth's shocking return, the team scrambles to integrate the new information she's provided into what they've learned so far. As Beth recovers, Odessa and Derek continue to navigate the parameters of their new relationship. Scribe Navia, Scribe Hargrove, and Knight Carlson visit Morgantown and make a surprising discovery at Flagrante Bello that throws everything they thought they knew about the complex and the situation surrounding it into turmoil. At the Spider's Web, Amanda and Rahmani commiserate as a familiar figure drops in once again.
Odessa is left reeling after learning that Beth has disappeared, but the Enclave remains on the case and committed to finding her. The coded message Beth sent leads Odessa to visit an old friend who provides new information that both sheds light on what Beth was investigating and heightens the mystery. Derek comforts Odessa as they discuss the changes in both of their lives since their breakup, and he and his team continue to evaluate the Appalachian Brotherhood of Steel. That evaluation is interrupted by a jarring event at Fort Atlas that leads them to Amanda's bar and an experience that none of them could've imagined.
Odessa awaits the return of the woman she loves as she navigates seismic changes in her life that turned her world upside down in an instant. The future of the Appalachian Brotherhood of Steel unexpectedly becomes an open question as the ties Paladin Rahmani worked so hard to sever prove to be more resilient than she'd imagined.
