She is also a Hyrox Performance Coach. Using her experience as a coach & her education, 'The Burgon Fitness Podcast' aims to educate YOU and help you level up your own training. She aims to do this in a fun and engaging way. The upcoming season will include episodes based around improving your 'training', 'mindset' and 'nutrition' knowledge.

In today's episode, I discuss with you why plyometrics play a key part of training for HYROX/Running. I discuss what plyometrics is, what the stretch-shortening cycle is and how plyometrics can improve HYROX and/or running performance. I discuss studies that shown results to back up these performance improvements. I also advise which plyometric exercises to do and how you might incorporate plyometrics into your own training. Are you overtraining? A thought provoking episode to get you considering if your current training load is optimal for performance or if you are falling victim to overtraining. In today’s episode, I discuss the concepts of overreaching, leading to overtraining and how that can turn into overtraining syndrome. I talk to you about the symptoms to look out for. I advise you how to reverse the symptoms of overtraining and how to build back your intensity and training load. I encourage you to think about whether you are getting the most out of your training volume and intensity. Within this episode, I discuss how to deal with setbacks, whilst opening up about some of my own setbacks/struggles during recovery. I also discuss season 2 of my podcasts, which will be launching soon. Season 2 will be based on behaviour change. For my masters degree dissertation, I researched behaviour change in regards to the topic of adhering to nutritional guidance (in the form of action points).
