The 2026 season started with a bang, as the Wildcats score on the first play from scrimmage and cruise to an opening day victory over the Cowboys, 42-8. Cole and James discuss all the week 1 action, a rundown of the standings, and look ahead to week 2. Cole and James are back, and that means Bantam football is about to kick off for another exciting season. The 16th Annual Football Jamboree was another win for the Ronald McDonald House. Check out our interview with Al Cooper last year to learn more about this fantastic event! We don't know much about the teams, other than we have 6 new coaches this year. It's offseason for bantams, but SAFFL is in full season! The Southern Alberta Female Football League is the pet project of Elisha Torraville, and consists of U19 and U16 girls teams from Red Deer to Okotoks. Elisha joins the podcast to talk about the league, how it was formed, and how much it has grown. SAFFL plays Canadian rules, 6-a-side, full equipment tackle football on a full-length field narrowed between the numbers.
