The A's sold off two more slices of the team to fund the ballpark, bringing in Mark Cuban and a group led by Chan Ho Park that includes Ken Jeong, which is about as Vegas as it gets. Plus Boxabl, the North Las Vegas tiny home maker, went public on the NASDAQ, Club Fortune North opened in the old Poker Palace with a solid renovation, and Bill Krackomberger dropped some genuinely honest advice about gambling that more influencers should be giving. We close with the Iron Mike Legacy immersive experience taking over the old Flamingo buffet space this fall, with tickets from $59 to $129. (the former IAC) has put a non-binding, all-cash offer on the table to buy the 73.9% of MGM Resorts it doesn't already own at $48.30/share — an ~$18 billion deal — and take the company private. Pair that with the Caesars / Fertitta Entertainment take-private we covered last week, and Las Vegas may be entering a brand-new era owned by the billionaire class instead of Wall Street. Is that good or bad for the guest experience? I make the case.
