Amy Reynolds is joined by Peter McLaren and Lewis Duncan to discuss all of the action from the Malaysian Grand Prix, as the paddock has been plunged into chaos over its plans to race in Qatar. 19 of the 22 riders signed a letter to MotoGP stating they do not want to race in Qatar, while Yamaha has made the bold decision to withdraw both of its teams. It's a move that has angered MotoGP, who is now threatening sanctions on the Japanese brand. With just days to go until the race, will it even happen? And what will happen if the conflict in the region escalates while MotoGP is on the ground? It's all overshadowing what could be an historic weekend for Marc Marquez, who is now 44 points clear in the championship and has a chance to win his eighth MotoGP world title in Qatar. The 2026 MotoGP title battle took a dramatic turn at the Australian Grand Prix, after Jorge Martin crashed and fractured his wrist. Amy Reynolds is joined by Peter McLaren and Lewis Duncan to discuss all of the action from a potentially decisive Australian Grand Prix weekend. Marc Marquez now holds a 10-point lead in the standings after prevailing in a thrilling duel with Martin in the sprint at Phillip Island. The pair swapped the lead frequently, with Martin eventually crashing in dramatic fashion while running in second. Martin will travel to Malaysia, but he may have to sit out the Sepang round in a major blow to his title hopes. Is it all over for the Aprilia rider? The team reflect on the decision to cancel the final Australian Grand Prix due to bad weather and if a decision could have been made to move the race. Hosted on Acast. Amy Reynolds is joined by Lewis Duncan and Peter McLaren to preview this weekend's Australian Grand Prix, the last to be held at Phillip Island. Phillip Island has been MotoGP’s Australian home for over 30 years, but will drop off the calendar in 2027 in a hugely controversial move. The team give their views on the situation and what it says about MotoGP’s wider approach to historic tracks. They also look ahead to the title fight as Jorge Martin and Marc Marquez sit just two points apart coming to Australia. And is a rider union needed as the situation around the Qatar GP remains uncertain amid rising threat levels in the Middle East? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Amy Reynolds is joined by Peter McLaren and Lewis Duncan to discuss all of the action from the Indonesian Grand Prix. Jorge Martin holds onto a slender MotoGP points lead over Marc Marquez, but Aprilia comes away from a weekend in which it dominated the main race with a 1-2-3-4 that can only be considered a missed opportunity. And Marquez, on his worst track, piled the pressure on Martin to the point where he made a huge mistake in the sprint. With just five rounds to go and two points in it, Aprilia must now get drastic and consider team orders to give Martin every opportunity possible to beat Marquez. The team also discuss the new-for-2027 format that was announced ahead of the Indonesian GP. It was not received well by riders or fans; Amy, Pete and Lewis question the motivation behind it and argue that it won't be a major difference-maker for MotoGP. Hosted on Acast. But Japan also showed a new, more serious side to Marquez that should have his rivals worried. Another Crash MotoGP mini-sode of the Podcast as Lewis Duncan joins Dre Harrison and Peter McLaren to discuss two more blockbuster moves! After months of speculation, Pedro Acosta completes his move from KTM to the factory Ducati team. Pecco Bagnaia is next on the agenda as he moves from Ducati after 8 years with the brand to move to Aprilia on a massive four-year commitment. Is he moving there to be Aprilia’s new leader, and was he worth bringing in over the departing Jorge Martin? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
In a series of mini-episodes/youtube specials, Dre Harrison and Pete McLaren start analysisng all the delayed silly season moves for 2027 in MotoGP, and they start with the biggest of them all - Marc Marquez staying with the factory Ducati squad through 2028. Dre Harrison and Pete McLaren sit down to review a wild weekend at Brno for the Czech GP (Don’t worry, Lewis is back next week, he’s on holiday) The weekend was dominated by Marco Bezzecchi being banned from the Grand Prix after striking a marshal during a crash in the Sprint Race. With his ban, and Marquez winning the Grand Prix, it reduces Bezzecchi’s lead over Marquez to just 40 points from 102 just two weeks prior in Mugello. Is this a weakness for Bez going forward, and was it right he was banned? The race itself is also analysed, as Marquez had to dig extra deep to hold off Ai Ogura’s worn-tyre pace, while Pecco Bagnaia managed his fourth podium finish in a row. And finally, some more follow-up on the F1-esque Concorde Agreement that the sport and factories agreed on. But what does that mean for you as a fan? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Dre Harrison, Lewis Duncan and Pete McLaren host the latest edition of the Crash MotoGP Podcast. On this week’s episode, the overarching story is the fact that MotoGP’s Concorde Agreement is on the brink of being officially signed off, and discussed is what that means for the sport going forward. This includes marketing promises, rider announcements incoming and only a small amount of financial compensation for the teams taking part. Is this viable for the sport in the long-term? There’s also a one-bike rule for garages coming in 2027, and Tech3 owner and former F1 boss Guenther Steiner has spoken out firmly against the issue. Is it a good change for the sport?
