Deb Silver was diagnosed with breast cancer and told surgery was her only hope. But Deb believed God was telling her to take a different path—and following that word meant putting her faith to the test when her life was on the line. ▶️ Watch more powerful stories of healing and miracles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDQ61kQF6fs&list=PLr3TlK5Y_OV4Xn-BqVNATsG1EnsmKWrrx What followed was not an easy road. Deb’s condition got worse, the medical evidence became more frightening, and she had to face the possibility that she had heard God wrong. But she kept seeking Him, kept believing what she believed He had spoken, and kept walking forward in faith even when the circumstances seemed to say the opposite. Today, Deb says she is healed, with testing showing no cancerous activity and no circulating cancer cells. This is a story about breast cancer, hearing the voice of God, perseverance, and what faith looks like when trusting God is no longer theoretical. ---------- 👉 THINGS YOU CAN DO! ✟ Donate to A Stronger Faith ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/give ✟ Recommend a guest ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/contact ✟ Become a member! ⇨ / @astrongerfaith ✟ Subscribe to our YouTube Channel ⇨ https://bit.ly/asfmyoutube ✟ Subscribe to our Clips Channel ⇨ / @astrongerfaithclips ---------- ✟ CONNECT WITH US! ⇨ Website: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/ ⇨ YouTube: https://bit.ly/asfmyoutube ⇨ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/astrongerfaith/ ⇨ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/astrongerfaith ⇨ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@astrongerfaith --------- ✟ For prayer or deliverance, or to become a prayer partner, please visit: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/prayer. ✟ ASF recommended books: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/books ---------- Small Group Questions From This Episode: 1. Steven Snook was a career criminal facing up to life in federal prison when he made a 15-second deal with God from a jail cell: “Lord, if you save my brother’s life, I’ll give you every breath for the rest of my life.” His brother lived, and what God began doing through Steven behind prison walls is hard to explain any other way. ▶️ Watch more Healing and Miracles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDQ61kQF6fs&list=PLr3TlK5Y_OV4Xn-BqVNATsG1EnsmKWrrx Steven wasn’t looking for God when he went to prison. He was still immersed in the criminal life when a crisis involving his brother drove him to pray. Soon afterward, he began reading the Bible, encountered the presence of God, and became convinced that what Scripture describes about the Holy Spirit and the supernatural life of a believer was actually real. Inside federal prison, Steven says God began teaching him to hear His voice, pray in the Spirit, and act when the Holy Spirit prompted him. One day on the prison yard, he felt led to pray for a man in a wheelchair who said he hadn’t walked in two years. Steven prayed for him in the name of Jesus—and the man got up and started running. In this conversation, Steven shares his remarkable journey from violent criminality and federal prison to a life centered on Jesus, healing, deliverance, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, prayer, fasting, radical obedience, and what he believes is available to every believer who genuinely wants more of God. ---------- GET STEVEN'S BOOK EXTRAORDINARY SOLITUDE HERE! ⇨ https://link.amazon/B0fDiyaWN EXTRAORDINARY SOLITUDE FACEBOOK COMMUNITY ⇨ https://www.facebook.com/ExtraordinarySolitude STEVEN'S MINISTRY WEBSITE ⇨ https://extraordinarysolitude.org/ STEVEN'S YOUTUBE CHANNEL ⇨ https://www.youtube.com/@UCEa0GL4Lyz2SfBBkjuVrYyw --------- 👉 THINGS YOU CAN DO! ✟ Donate to A Stronger Faith ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/give ✟ Recommend a guest ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/contact ✟ Become a member! ⇨ / @astrongerfaith ✟ Subscribe to our YouTube Channel ⇨ https://bit.ly/asfmyoutube ✟ Subscribe to our Clips Channel ⇨ / @astrongerfaithclips ---------- ✟ CONNECT WITH US! ⇨ Website: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/ ⇨ YouTube: https://bit.ly/asfmyoutube ⇨ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/astrongerfaith/ ⇨ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/astrongerfaith ⇨ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@astrongerfaith --------- ✟ For prayer or deliverance, or to become a prayer partner, please visit: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/prayer. ✟ ASF recommended books: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/books
Tori Gilbert had followed Jesus for years, but after being baptized in the Holy Spirit, her Christian life became something she says she never knew was possible. Tori grew up believing in God, heard His audible voice as a child, surrendered her life fully to Jesus at 19, attended Bible college, and even served on the mission field. But after years of following Christ, she found herself asking a difficult question: Is this all there is? Then she was baptized in the Holy Spirit. Almost immediately, Tori says her desires changed, her relationship with God came alive in a new way, and spiritual gifts she had never experienced began appearing. What started as a few simple syllables while praying in tongues soon became what she describes as an entire language pouring out of her for hours—along with an interpretation and an urgent message from the Holy Spirit for someone she barely knew. Since then, Tori says she has experienced prophetic words, tongues and interpretation, spiritually significant dreams, supernatural discernment, evangelism, and a completely different understanding of prayer and partnership with the Holy Spirit. This conversation explores what changed, how she knew these experiences weren't simply emotion or imagination, and why Tori believes there is far more available to followers of Jesus than she once understood. ---------- 👉 THINGS YOU CAN DO! ✟ Donate to A Stronger Faith ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/give ✟ Recommend a guest for us ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/contact ✟ Become a member of our YouTube channel! ⇨ https://www.youtube.com/@AStrongerFaith/join ✟ Subscribe to our YouTube Channel ⇨ https://bit.ly/asfmyoutube✟ Subscribe to our YouTube Clips Channel ⇨ https://www.youtube.com/@AStrongerFaithClips/?sub_confirmation=1 ---------- ✟ CONNECT WITH US! ⇨ Website: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/ ⇨ YouTube: https://bit.ly/asfmyoutube ⇨ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/astrongerfaith/ ⇨ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/astrongerfaith ⇨ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@astrongerfaith --------- ✟ For prayer or deliverance, or to become a prayer partner, please visit: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/prayer. ✟ ASF recommended books: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/books ---------- ✟ Small Group Questions from this Episode: 1. Val Duvall spent years as a Christian believing what the Bible said about dreams, visions, healing and the gifts of the Holy Spirit—then she began experiencing them for herself. Over the years, Val says God has spoken to her through nearly 200 recorded dreams, visions, prophetic impressions and His voice. She describes a vision of Jesus on a road she would later recognize as the entrance to the neighborhood where she has now lived for 20 years. She shares how her hands began getting hot when praying for healing, how God revealed that unforgiveness was hindering her healing gift, and how she has experienced three supernatural healings in her own body. In this conversation, Val and Stacy wrestle honestly with some of the questions many Christians have: • How do you know a vision is from God and not your imagination? • How do you recognize His voice? • Are dreams, healing and the gifts of the Spirit really available to believers today? • And what happens when someone stops simply believing these things happened in the Bible and begins pursuing God with the expectation that He is still active now? Val’s story is a journey from knowing about the supernatural life described in Scripture to personally experiencing dreams, visions, healing, prophecy and the voice of God. 👉 LINKS TO BOOKS MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE: ⇨ The Power of a Praying Parent - Stormie Omartian https://link.amazon/A0dPYwqD1 ⇨ The Power of a Praying Wife - Stormie Omartian https://link.amazon/A08vNrAIA ---------- 👉 THINGS YOU CAN DO! ✟ Donate to A Stronger Faith ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/give ✟ Recommend a guest for us ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/contact ✟ Subscribe to our YouTube Channel ⇨ https://bit.ly/asfmyoutube✟ Subscribe to our YouTube Clips Channel ⇨ https://www.youtube.com/@AStrongerFaithClips/?sub_confirmation=1 ---------- ✟ CONNECT WITH US! ⇨ Website: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/ ⇨ YouTube: https://bit.ly/asfmyoutube ⇨ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/astrongerfaith/ ⇨ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/astrongerfaith ⇨ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@astrongerfaith --------- ✟ For prayer or deliverance, or to become a prayer partner, please visit: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/prayer. ✟ ASF recommended books: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/books ---------- Small Group Questions from this Episode: 1. Joe Mathews spent years searching for God, questioning what was real, and asking for evidence. Then he challenged God directly: “Hit me right between the eyes.” Joe believed God existed, but he struggled to understand why a God who was supposedly everywhere seemed so hidden. His search led him through Eastern spirituality, séances, Ouija boards, and other spiritual experiences before he eventually walked into a Christian meeting he almost left. After responding to an invitation to follow Jesus, Joe says he felt the force of a blow directly between his eyes that sent him several feet backward. What followed was an intense encounter with the Holy Spirit that he says changed him immediately. Joe also shares about seeing what he believes was an angel, encounters with demonic activity, his search for evidence of God, and the years of faith that followed. ---------- 👉 THINGS YOU CAN DO!: ✟ Donate to A Stronger Faith ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/give ----------- ✟ Recommend a guest for us ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/contact ---------- ✟ Subscribe to our Clips Channel ⇨ https://www.youtube.com/@AStrongerFaithClips/?sub_confirmation=1 ---------- ✟ CONNECT WITH US! ⇨ Website: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/ ⇨ YouTube: https://bit.ly/asfmyoutube ⇨ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/astrongerfaith/ ⇨ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/astrongerfaith ⇨ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@astrongerfaith --------- ✟ For prayer or deliverance, or to become a prayer partner, please visit: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/prayer. ✟ ASF recommended books: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/books ---------- ✟ Small Group Questions from This Episode: ⇨ Joe said, “You don’t need to have the experience I had to get saved.” How has God made Himself known to you in your own experience? ⇨ Joe described a season when “God was present but distant”, what can we learn from his experience about trusting God when He seems distant or silent? ⇨ How do faith, evidence, and our personal experiences work together in helping us believe in and know God? ✟ Key Bible verses for Further Study: ⇨ John 20:24–29 ⇨ Job 38–42 ⇨ Acts 2
Tiera Hoaglund grew up surrounded by abuse, neglect, and addiction—and called herself a Christian without knowing if God even loved her. Then, alone in her basement, she says she saw Jesus and felt the power of God move through her body like electricity. Tiera spent part of her childhood homeless, watched her mother cycle through destructive relationships, and saw her siblings taken away. She swore she would never repeat those patterns—yet eventually found herself surrounded by addiction again. As she began pursuing God, reading the Bible, confronting her past, and asking for more of Him, she started to realize He had been drawing her toward Himself all along. Then came the encounter that changed the course of her life. Tiera says she saw Jesus, felt God’s power move through her body for hours, and heard the words her heart desperately needed: “I see you. You are My child. I love you.” The woman who once only believed about God says she finally knew Him for herself. This is Tiera’s story of trauma, redemption, and an encounter with God so powerful that she has never been the same. ---------- 👉 THINGS YOU CAN DO!: ✟ Donate to A Stronger Faith ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/give ✟ Recommend a guest for us ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/contact ---------- ✟ CONNECT WITH US! ⇨ Website: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/ ⇨ YouTube: https://bit.ly/asfmyoutube ⇨ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/astrongerfaith/ ⇨ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/astrongerfaith ⇨ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@astrongerfaith --------- ✟ For prayer or deliverance, or to become a prayer partner, please visit: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/prayer. ✟ ASF recommended books: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/books ---------- ✟ Small Group Questions from this Episode ⇨ Tiera expressed patterns of brokenness and shame in her life, where do you see similar patterns of brokenness or shame in your own story? ⇨ How does confession open the door for healing and spiritual growth? ⇨ What does Tiera’s transformation reveal about the Holy Spirit’s power to change a life? ✟ Scripture References for Further Study ⇨ Psalm 34:18 ⇨ James 5:16 ⇨ Jeremiah 29:13
Moriah Thomas spent years studying the human mind and treating trauma. Then she found Jesus at 39—and began discovering a kind of healing she had never been taught in psychology. Moriah holds multiple degrees in psychology and counseling, including a doctorate. But after coming to faith, she began hearing the voice of God, seeing angels and the spiritual realm, praying in tongues, experiencing deliverance, and pursuing the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Then her understanding of trauma began to change. Today, Moriah helps people uncover wounds and beliefs that may have been buried for years—not simply by teaching them how to cope, but by helping them quiet their minds, listen for Jesus, and allow Him to speak truth into the places that still hurt. In this conversation, Moriah and Stacy explore the difference between managing trauma and healing it, how to recognize the voice of God, what Moriah sees in the spiritual realm, and why she believes many Christians are living with far less freedom and intimacy with Jesus than is available to them. Stacy also shares what happened when he personally went through one of Moriah’s two-hour freedom sessions—and Jesus brought up something from his childhood he hadn’t thought about in decades. 👉 Learn more about the freedom ministry Moriah is developing below: Website: www.riseupculture.church Email address: freedom@theriseupculture.com ---------- ✟ Small Group Questions from this Episode ⇨ How have you personally experienced the “weight of truth” in your walk with Jesus? ⇨ What does spiritual hunger look like in your life right now, and what helps you pursue God more deeply? ⇨ What areas of your life might Jesus be inviting you to heal so you can experience more of Him? ✟ Key Bible Verses for Further Study ⇨ John 10:27 ⇨ Hebrews 11:6 ⇨ James 4:8 ---------- 👉 THINGS YOU CAN DO!: ✟ Donate to A Stronger Faith ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/give ✟ Recommend a guest for us ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/contact ---------- ✟ CONNECT WITH US! ⇨ Website: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/ ⇨ YouTube: https://bit.ly/asfmyoutube ⇨ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/astrongerfaith/ ⇨ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/astrongerfaith ⇨ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@astrongerfaith --------- ✟ For prayer or deliverance, or to become a prayer partner, please visit: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/prayer. ✟ ASF recommended books: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/books
He thought people who spoke in tongues were faking it. Then, alone in his car, he lost control of his own voice — and it didn't stop. Tyler Edwards grew up around Christianity, walked away from it, explored other beliefs, and eventually landed somewhere he wasn't sure what he believed at all. Serious kidney failure forced him to confront his own mortality — and he surrendered his life to Jesus. Days later, while driving alone, he felt prompted to pray. He opened his mouth reluctantly, determined not to fake anything. What happened next wasn't emotion, and it wasn't something he could have produced himself. He began speaking in tongues and felt what he describes as the tangible presence of God — a weight he still struggles to put into words, lasting nearly the whole day. Two months later, he received the kidney transplant he needed to survive. But Tyler's story isn't just about the encounter. It's also a warning: even after something that undeniable, your relationship with God can quietly fade if you stop pursuing Him. In this conversation, Tyler and Stacy talk openly about the baptism of the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues, surrender, healing, and what it means to keep chasing God after the encounter is over. Kathy Williamson believed in God — but she knew there had to be more. Then one night on her bathroom floor, she experienced the Holy Spirit in a way she never imagined. After years of hidden shame, anger, bitterness, and unexplained spiritual torment, Kathy began desperately pursuing God — praying for ten months for the gift of tongues. What followed was a two-and-a-half-hour encounter with the Holy Spirit that included speaking in tongues, visions, supernatural deliverance, and a physical manifestation she describes as black tar leaving her body. Her husband heard it happening through the door and started recording. But Kathy's story isn't ultimately about chasing supernatural experiences or spiritual gifts — it's about discovering intimacy with God. She shares what happened when she stopped simply believing in God and started surrendering her life to truly know Him, and why she believes anyone seeking encounters, healing, deliverance, or spiritual gifts should pursue God Himself first. If you're hungry to experience more of God, hear His voice, understand the Holy Spirit, or walk in greater spiritual freedom, this conversation is for you. ---------- ✟ Small Group Questions From This Episode ⇨ How does Kathy’s story challenge our understanding of what it means to truly seek God with our whole heart? ⇨ What does her experience reveal about the cost and the beauty of obedience, especially when God asks for something difficult? ⇨ How does Kathy’s encounter illustrate the Holy Spirit’s power to heal past wounds and transform identity? ✟ Bible References for Further Study ⇨ John 15:4–5 ⇨ Romans 8:1 ⇨ James 4:8 ---------- 👉 THINGS YOU CAN DO!: ✟ Donate to A Stronger Faith ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/give ----------- ✟ Recommend a guest for us ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/contact ---------- ✟ Subscribe to our Clips Channel ⇨ https://www.youtube.com/@AStrongerFaithClips/?sub_confirmation=1 ---------- ✟ CONNECT WITH US! ⇨ Website: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/ ⇨ YouTube: https://bit.ly/asfmyoutube ⇨ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/astrongerfaith ⇨ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/astrongerfaith/ ⇨ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@astrongerfaith --------- ✟ For prayer or deliverance, or to become a prayer partner, please visit: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/prayer. ✟ ASF recommended books: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/books
Kelly Alix grew up in church and did everything she thought a good Christian should do—but she had no idea how real the spiritual world actually was. An unexplained childhood “nervous stomach” followed Kelly into adulthood, fear began sabotaging the calling God had placed on her, and eventually her hunger for something spiritually real drew her toward witchcraft and the paranormal. In this episode, Kelly shares how she came to believe her lifelong struggle wasn't simply anxiety, experienced deliverance from a spirit of fear, and discovered what it actually means to experience the Holy Spirit instead of simply believing in God. We talk about demonic attack, spiritual warfare, witchcraft and the occult, hearing God's voice, deliverance, discerning counterfeit spirituality, and encountering the presence of God. He was a lifelong atheist who became a committed anti-theist. Today, he preaches Jesus and leads worship—because Jesus actually spoke to him. James Leonard wanted nothing to do with Christianity. His search for truth eventually took him through Buddhism, meditation, New Age spirituality, tarot cards, channeling, and nearly an ayahuasca retreat. Then, during a 10-day silent meditation retreat, James experienced something he couldn't explain away—a thought entered his mind that he knew wasn't his own. He didn't know it was Jesus. Over the next year, James began encountering Jesus in unexpected ways until one night, after days of wrestling with what he was discovering, he finally said yes. At 10 years old, Jesus appeared at the foot of Eileen Mestas's bed and gave her an assignment for her life. What followed wasn't a single miracle—it was decades of watching everything He said come true. Eileen Mestas says Jesus appeared at the foot of her bed and told her He was taking her on a journey. Over the years, He showed her the man she would one day marry before they ever met, guided her family through multiple adoptions, answered an impossible prayer to breastfeed her adopted premature twins after eight years without nursing, and orchestrated events she believes only God could have arranged. Through every season, Eileen says she watched Jesus faithfully and miraculously fulfill what He had spoken from the very beginning. 👉 Link to Eileen’s book More Than "I" Can Handle: One Family's Story of Trusting God Through the Impossible: https://amzn.to/4wYyLZt 👉 Reach Eileen on her website here: https://www.mustardseedfaithministries.org/ ---------- ✟ Small Group Questions from this Episode: ⇨ How does Eileen’s early encounter with Jesus shape the way she interprets the rest of her life story? ⇨ What does Eileen’s lifelong hunger for God—and her experiences of His guidance through dreams, promptings, and provision—teach us about trusting God’s leading in our own lives? ⇨ How did Eileen’s struggles with fear, emotional overwhelm, and the weight of life’s pressures become moments where she learned to cling to God’s voice, and what can her story teach us about trusting God in seasons when our mental and emotional health feels fragile? ✟ Key Bible Passages Referenced in the Interview: ⇨ John 10:27 ⇨ Jeremiah 29:13 ⇨ Psalm 32:8 ---------- ✟ Donate to A Stronger Faith ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/give ----------- ✟ Recommend a guest for us ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/contact ---------- ✟ CONNECT WITH US! ⇨ Website: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/ ⇨ YouTube: https://bit.ly/asfmyoutube ⇨ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/astrongerfaith/ ⇨ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@astrongerfaith ⇨ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/astrongerfaith --------- ✟ For prayer or deliverance, or to become a prayer partner, please visit: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/prayer. ✟ ASF recommended books: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/books
A man is falsely charged with first-degree murder, spends nine and a half months in jail, and reaches the lowest point of his life. Then God spoke. Derrick Frank didn't grow up believing God was real. He went to church because that's what his family did, but abuse, poverty, and years of pain left him questioning whether God even existed. After becoming involved in drugs, Derrick found himself falsely accused of murder, locked in solitary confinement, and ready to end his life. Then, in a jail cell, God met him. What followed convinced Derrick beyond any doubt that Jesus Christ is alive, still speaks, and relentlessly pursues people—even at their darkest moments. In this powerful Christian testimony, Derrick shares how God warned him through prophetic dreams, protected his life during a deadly drug deal, spoke to him in jail, revealed Himself through Scripture, and forever changed the direction of his life. If you've ever questioned whether God is real, wondered if He still speaks today, or felt like you've gone too far for His grace, this conversation is for you. Jay Bonisolli spent years chasing enlightenment through psychedelics, Eastern philosophy, and a music career he was willing to go dark to win — until God interrupted him three separate times. On a heroic dose of mushrooms, Jay experienced something he later realized matched the Bible's description of "outer darkness" — long before he'd ever read the term for himself. Years later, after writing a desperate letter to God, he encountered the presence of Jesus Christ so powerfully that a daily weed addiction and years of Eastern spiritual practice fell away overnight. And in an out-of-body encounter he still struggles to fully put into words, Jesus showed him plainly that the music opening doors to fame had been channeled from a source he never should have trusted. This conversation covers Jay's early psychedelic experiences, his years studying Buddhism and Hinduism (including months in India under a Hindu monk), a warning dream that ended his pursuit of a record deal, and the moment Jesus met him and never let go. If you've ever wondered whether there's more beyond what science can measure — or whether God pursues people even when they're running the other way — this episode is for you. ---------- ✟ Small Group Questions From This Episode: ⇨ How does Jay’s story illustrate the ways God pursues people even when they drift into deception or darkness? ⇨ What does his experience reveal about the danger of seeking spiritual truth outside of God’s design? ⇨ How does Jay’s encounter with Jesus demonstrate the power of humility and surrender? ✟ Bible References for Further Study: ⇨ Luke 15:11–32 ⇨ Matthew 11:28-30 ⇨ John 14:6 --------- ✟ Donate to A Stronger Faith ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/give ----------- ✟ Recommend a guest for us ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/contact ---------- ✟ CONNECT WITH US! ⇨ Website: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/ ⇨ YouTube: https://bit.ly/asfmyoutube ⇨ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/astrongerfaith/ ⇨ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@astrongerfaith ⇨ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/astrongerfaith --------- ✟ For prayer or deliverance, or to become a prayer partner, please visit: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/prayer. ✟ ASF recommended books: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/books
Can persistent prayer reach someone who doesn't want God? Phil Dougherty's story may change the way you answer that question. Phil Dougherty never imagined his life would change on a beach in New Jersey. Raised in a broken home, drawn into spiritual darkness, and convinced there was little hope for his future, he reached a point where he believed life wasn't worth living. What he didn't know was that two friends had been faithfully praying and fasting for him. In this conversation, Phil shares the remarkable encounter that changed everything: hearing God's voice, experiencing an overwhelming freedom he had never known, being confronted with a life-changing choice, receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and discovering that the prayers of others had been shaping his story long before he realized it. In this episode, you'll discover: • The hidden role prayer and fasting played in Phil's encounter with God • What happened during the unforgettable beach encounter that changed his life forever • How God rescued him from deep spiritual darkness • Why every person must ultimately choose how they'll respond to God • How Phil went from hopelessness and bondage to walking in spiritual authority and helping others find freedom Whether you're praying for a loved one who seems unreachable, wondering if God still speaks today, or longing to experience Him more deeply yourself, Phil's story is a powerful reminder that no one is beyond God's reach. ---------- ✟ Small Group Questions From This Episode: ⇨ How does Phil’s story illustrate the power of intercession in someone’s life? ⇨ What does Phil’s encounter on the beach reveal about God’s ability to break into a person’s darkest moments? ⇨ How does Phil’s transformation challenge our assumptions about who God can reach and how He works? ✟ Bible References for Further Study: ⇨ John 10:27 ⇨ Acts 1:8 ⇨ Isaiah 58:6 --------- You can reach Phil via email at: mystoryfindinggod@gmail.com --------- ✟ Donate to A Stronger Faith ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/give ----------- ✟ Recommend a guest for us ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/contact ---------- ✟ CONNECT WITH US! ⇨ Website: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/ ⇨ YouTube: https://bit.ly/asfmyoutube ⇨ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/astrongerfaith/ ⇨ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@astrongerfaith ⇨ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/astrongerfaith --------- ✟ For prayer or deliverance, or to become a prayer partner, please visit: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/prayer. ✟ ASF recommended books: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/books
What if healing the sick wasn't reserved for pastors, evangelists, or people with a special gift? Judy Deese had no training, no theology degree, and never imagined God could heal through her. For more than two decades as a believer, she assumed this kind of authority was for someone else. Then she witnessed a healing right in front of her eyes—and shortly afterward discovered the same authority Jesus promised His followers was already living in her. In this conversation, Judy shares how it all began: a Wednesday night, a simple question to the Holy Spirit, a jolt awake in the middle of the night, and a voice she can still barely describe. From that moment, she began stepping out in faith—and hasn't stopped since. This episode covers: • How Judy went from watching a healing to administering one herself—with zero formal training • The difference between commanding healing and casting out a demon—and why she approaches them differently • Why she stopped praying for healing and started speaking directly to the affliction • The three open doors she believes can block healing: sin, unrepentance, and unforgiveness • What changed after she received the baptism of the Holy Spirit—and why she believes it's the missing piece for many believers • The surprising moment she realized her emotions didn't limit God's power to heal Did Jesus intend for every believer to heal the sick—or have most Christians settled for less than He promised? If you've ever wondered whether this kind of authority is reserved for a select few, this conversation will challenge what you believe about healing, the Holy Spirit, and the authority Jesus gave His followers. ----- ✟ Small Group Questions From This Episode: ⇨ How does Judy’s experience of hearing God’s voice challenge or shape your understanding of how the Holy Spirit speaks today? ⇨ What does Judy’s story reveal about the authority believers carry through the Holy Spirit? ⇨ How does Judy describe the simplicity of ministering healing, and what does that suggest about how believers can step into it? ✟ Bible References for Further Study: ⇨ John 14:12 ⇨ Mark 16:17–18 ⇨ Acts 1:8 ------- ✟ Donate to A Stronger Faith ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/give ----------- ✟ Recommend a guest for us ⇨ https://www.astrongerfaith.org/contact ---------- ✟ CONNECT WITH US! ⇨ Website: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/ ⇨ YouTube: https://bit.ly/asfmyoutube ⇨ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/astrongerfaith/ ⇨ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@astrongerfaith ⇨ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/astrongerfaith --------- ✟ For prayer or deliverance, or to become a prayer partner, please visit: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/prayer. ✟ ASF recommended books: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/books
He hadn't prayed in 25 years. Then at 3:00 AM, a voice woke him up: "Get up. Find your Bible." What followed was a four-hour encounter with Jesus that Brad Richter had no framework for — a flood of memories of every failure he'd ever committed, followed by an answer he never expected: not condemnation, but "I chose you." Brad describes being embraced in his own filth, before any cleanup, before any effort to make himself presentable. Brad grew up a missionary kid in New Guinea, where the cost of the gospel — death, tragedy, and unanswered questions — hardened his heart by age 13. For the next 25 years he was disconnected from God: not hostile, just numb. He wasn't praying. He wasn't searching. In this conversation, Brad walks through: • The night God broke into his life with no warning and no spiritual buildup • Asking Jesus one question — "How much do you love me?" — and what happened next • How obedience in small, ordinary moments (fixing a stranger's roof, giving a ride to a woman searching for God, feeding a homeless brother in Christ) became the doorway to experiencing God personally • A vision of spiritual warfare — pinned in the mud with Satan's foot on his neck, refusing to tap out — and what he found in his hands when he didn't • What it means to invite God into your burdens instead of asking Him to remove them• Why God's delight in us is often harder to receive than His forgiveness This is a story about what happens when God interrupts a life that wasn't looking for Him — and what it costs, and gives, to say yes. ----- Small Group Questions From This Episode: ⇨ What impact did witnessing trauma on the mission field have on Brad’s view of God? ⇨ How did Brad respond when he heard the command, “Get up,” in the middle of the night? ⇨ How does Brad describe the moment when he realized Jesus knew his name? ⇨ What did Brad mean when he said receiving God’s love would “cost him his life”? What if the reason you haven't experienced more of God has nothing to do with how hard you're praying — and everything to do with what you're asking for? Erica Laney is a wife, mother of five, and a woman operating in a level of prophetic gifting that is rare and specific. She sees spiritual gifts in people through color. She receives visions that have proven out in real life. And she traces every bit of it back to one moment when she stopped bringing God her problems and asked Him what she could do for Him instead. In this conversation Erica shares how that single shift in posture unlocked prophetic gifts she never sought, how fasting became the most direct line she has found to hearing God clearly, why she believes the enemy is actively working to keep the church from real fasting, and what it looks like to cultivate spiritual gifts once they arrive. She also did something in this very conversation that neither of us expected. In this conversation, Erica shares: ⇨ What she sees when she looks at people in the Spirit — and what each color means ⇨ How she witnessed a vision of demonic beings planning specific assignments against her family ⇨ Why she believes most Christians are fasting wrong — and why that's not an accident ⇨ How a 21-day fast and a 48-hour water fast led to the birth of a son she saw coming years before he arrived ⇨ What it means to ask God what you can do for Him — and why it changes everything 📩 Share your story: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/contact 💛 Support this ministry: https://www.astrongerfaith.org/give If you and a few people in your life are hungry for more of God, this episode was made to be discussed.
