The Black nurses are threatened BY White bosses and coworkers NOT towards them. We must remember that the higher ranking positions aren't diverse. Silence is a learned behavior amongst Blacks and a survival skill that needs unlearning. NOW, let's talk about that BS. DISCLAIMER: you will be offended and that means it applies to you. As long as I have lived before nursing and as a nurse. I have not ever been spit on by any beings in my life! Black nurses take in a lot of hell, but this day showed an angry Black nurse. I've been called deplorable names, but never have I've been covered in spit!!!! I could not let it go!! I was so angry I cried and for those that knows me...that ain't good to do this to me!! Hear I go.......
In this nursing field you will have fools in all races. When it's your own race of people it makes you take a step back!! Well more than that, but it takes an exceptionally dumb ass to think that its OK to treat someone that's the same race as you to degrade you...2010 I was different and young...not in 2023!!!
"Whiten your name," they say.. "Lack of authority," you're Black... "Diversified," they say... As a person of color, I find that being in this medical field is challenging and not as diverse as they would have you believe.
There is no high road as a Black Nurse! You must deal with the ignorance...
I have Ulcerative Colitis and flare-ups happens whenever it wants to. I was in the hospital...vacation my ass...if I was of another race..would this have been said? I don't think so...
Nurses do a lot for other people and we take a lot of abuse from people. They can be patients or coworker to a complete stranger. We are not paid our worth yet we still find that people are worthy of our help. Every now and then comes along jealousy and its brutal towards nurses! Well, sometimes that is brutal might send a nurse over the edge. Watch out!

Have you ever seen a person get terminated for saying Hi instead of hello? Yeah, sounds eloquently stupid. It happens in all professions even in nursing. I have been terminated for refusing an assignment although I was perfectly within my rights! I resigned because of outright racism and it starts from the top of the business! Nursing harbors a lot of ungodly acts towards the Black and Brown people. I want you to get out of this crazy episode the do's and when to get out of dodge! Bullying has happen to many people. It's not to be, but in nursing it is horrible! People will eat you up if you let them. Stand up and do it often!! I don't let that get by and neither should you. Put bully's in their place and walk off to show whose boss!!
Episode of great distresses and mostly lack of morality which is just simple common sense. I mean most people I'd say on average knows about COLORISM, RACISM, MUT-ISM and other ignorant words for SEPARATISM! Yes, they heard me BULLY!! Bitch, you are trying your best to bully the wrong Black nurse. Nurses are bullies within their own right! We rule! It's just the truth because if all of us walked out of the position we HOLD, the facility would collapse! When a bully is in your midst, break them before they you. Nurses eat their young and now old. YES, they do!! Not me though because I speak up and out!
