Subjects: motivation, milestones, humour, minimalist, podcast, reflections, life insights, PayPal, angst. To be fair this episode is not much use. It contains feelings of boredom, resentment and a lack of motivation, whilst I also contemplate the arbitrary nature of milestones like this 150th episode. So What? To me Milestones are meaningless even if deep within me my attention gravitates to such trinkets! I want to be of use even when I am not feeling useful and so I release this without deleting it so as to highlight that not every day is good or sugar coated like a TikTok lifestyle but is simply a passing of time with no significant event or gain. Subjects: Gen Z, social habits, coffee raves, soft clubbing, daytime socializing, alcohol consumption, nightlife, connection, sober curious, social events, zig & zag. In this conversation I look at the evolving social habits of Gen Z, particularly their shift away from traditional nightlife towards more sober and daytime socializing options like coffee raves and soft clubbing. I highlight the appeal of these new social formats, which prioritize connection over alcohol consumption and cater to a generation that values mental well-being and meaningful interactions. But they are not the only generation to embrace this change in our times, because there's me for one! https://youtu.be/WhnJfd1aiFM?si=q4C_RjPUYYpyGck0 Reel to Real 'I like to move it' https://youtu.be/-BvdUw__JYw?si=T8DhGMCIn7cxhoaG Zig & Zag 'I like to move it' events — beats & caffeine. Subjects: personal growth, health strategies, mental well-being, social connections, self-improvement, Coffee, Showers, Fasting, savouring, gratitude. The beginning of this year was bleak for me and was building on top of an already abysmal 2025. I felt I was done for physically, mentally and spiritually. Now, I certainly have not fixed the spiritual side of things, but I had to get the basics in, and that was by getting my body and mind in a place of productive use and place of stability. I needed to increase my energy to push back against the years of accumulated mental loss and toxic funk. So what has worked so far in this life resurgence and story of against all odds? I normally write everything myself but in keeping with the doom and gloom of AI eradicating our species I will let AI describe this episode for me with a strong sense of irony that AI will never know the feeling of family. One-nil to the humans! "In this conversation, James reflects on the concept of family and the societal perceptions surrounding it. He shares personal anecdotes about his experiences with family dynamics, the importance of building connections, and the often-overlooked goal of pursuing a family life. Through humour and introspection, he questions the value of family in modern society and explores the idea of whether it is still a worthwhile pursuit at his age." I see so many cultural differences between the English and the Spanish yet Geographically we are not that far apart. Also it seems to be many an Englishman's dream to move to the Mediterranean, but why? After a short visit to Spain, despite feeling a little isolated as I speak no Spanish and spoke to no English people for four days, I really liked and respected the Spanish people.
