The opening day certainly provided a bit of a wake-up call for the title favourites! After a good first-half performance that had the Brunton Park faithful feeling cautiously optimistic, a second-half collapse saw the Blues fall to a 3-2 defeat against National League new boys Worthing. But there’s no time to dwell as we reflect on the weekend, digest more transfer business, and look ahead to a long trip down to Yeovil Town. So we're twelve days on from the play-off semi-final defeat to Boreham Wood and we're still none-the-wiser on who will be the manager next season. United's longest ever domestic away trip ended in a win - but it certainly wasn't a a classic as they beat Truro City 1-0 at the weekend and picked up three points that secure third place and a home-tie in the play-off semi-finals. Almost 900 Blues enjoyed the long trip south and a great weekend in the Cornish sunshine - maybe the less said about the actual football the better?!
