The Coach and Tex

A huge Preliminary Finals episode as the Turtle and Tex carry the enormous load left by the Coach who is on annual leave again. The lads cover everything from Wildcard debriefs, the arrogance of the Lions, how funny to see the Cats fall again, Wharfie time strikes and Adelaide just not good enough. They discuss the Butters decision and Turtle has a list and teaches everyone a thing or two on culture in sport. He also gives us a great NFL download, whilst Tex’s tirade goes for 5 chapters!

The lads reunite on the eve of the Coach’s long awaited overseas trip. They unlock all things Wildcard Finals, The Blues renaissance, the gutsy Dogs, the old Pies and the injured Dees. Add to that, the shenanigans at the Swans, new coaches appointed and we enter the silly season around trade and free agency talk. Tex gets serious about his tirade, and Turtle teaches us again, this time on the topic of selfishness.

The lads break a personal best and breakdown a raft of football issues including the coaching vacancies, coaches at risk, the Wildcard round, the concussion issues and the Geelong farce. They also have enough time to break down all the social issues, politics and entertainment. The Tirade is a buggy, and the Turtle preaches about youth gambling and the proliferation of the “multi”. And finally, the most controversial tweeter gets a mouthful from Tex!!

The three stooges are back together and have broken their record for their longest episode for the season. The Coach rolls out his AA squad and the boys discuss the Fremantle juggernaut, Gold Coast crumbling and the Turtle breaks down the blockbuster between the Tiges and Maggies from Saturday. The tweeters get a run, and watch out for Tex’s Tirade, especially if your name is Moira.

The boys return from Warrnambool, without the Coach. They cover everything from world sport (Go Knicks), provide a stable update and get into the minutiae of the AFL round. They break down the Essendon and Carlton coaching sagas, the after effects of the Pendles 433, the Brisbane decline, the stagnation at Tigerland, and plenty more. And then the Turtle takes you through his All Australian front runner team for 2026, and even Tex agrees. We finally wrap up with the return of Tex’s Tirade

The long awaited return of Tex to the the episode, coupled with the fact that the lads are live from the Bool. We do a deep dive into all things AFL governance, and then talk through the big issues, including the Melbourne CEO firing, WhiteBoard gate, How well the Tigers are travelling, the best rivalry in football and debate how selfish Scott Pendlebury really is. What a cracking time to be alive and talk football. Despite the fact that the search party is still put trying to find the little one, the Coach and Turtle discussed everything from a Collingwood “deep dive” through to tribunal woes, what is exciting you in football and the tough discussion around the Elijah Hollands scenario. The Coach provides a stable update and the Turtle gives “Ross the Boss” some strong feedback.

Our competition winner, Mr Beanbag, joins the Turtle in co-hosting duties. They review the recent rounds of the AFL, doing a deep dive on the Carlton Football Club. Our guest’s knowledge and coverage of politics and the social landscape, knows no bounds. This comes to the fore with an immediate reaction to our Prime Minister’s address to the nation, keeping tabs on international political leaders and coverage of the recent season of Peaky Blinders. We also cover off St Kilda’s imposter syndrome, the continued fall of Essendon and the early season “surprise packets”.

The lads are back for Season 7. They explore the pre season, opening round and look ahead to Round 1 and the season overall. The Coach leads the way on his tips for premiers, finalists, wooden spooner and Brownlow medallist. They cover off the off season and Tex’s links to those well known “files”.

The year wraps up for the lad as they review what has been happening in the off season to date. There is spirited debate about the Liberal Party, the Lions going for a threepeat and Mason Cox being the saviour at Fremantle. We recognize our tweeters and the Turtle presents his final list of the year!

The lads get the band back together to catch up on some Finals footy and review the Brownlow Medal results. We explore everything that is the Grand Final and make our selections and predictions. Tex is never short of his political opinions, and there Coach provides his deep insights. And you can’t miss a special edition of the Turtle’s List, looking at his favourite GF’s of the 2000’s.

The little fella is back as we pay tribute to John from Richmond….one of our absolute favourites. We cover off the Top 4 contenders and argue our way through who we think can challenge them. Our Sporting World segment takes us to a live cross of the final test between India and England…what a thriller. The Turtle gives us another list and we cover off on our tweeters

After the Coach returns from leave, the little man, Tex, decides to have a spell. So Coach and Turtle break down all the key issues, and cover the big talking points including the Collingwood, loss, the bona fides of Adelaide and Freo and how bad Brad Scott is actually going. The Turtle has another list and we pay tribute to a couple of our favourite tweeters!!

The Coach is on his North American odyssey, whilst Tex and Turtle hold down the fort admirably. They run through the Tom Lynch saga, Collingwood’s dominance and take great joy in Carlton’s implosion. The Turtle has another list and Tex tells some more tails from the boundary line.

Another week, another episode. the Coach and Turtle carry the load again while Tex continues his early season leave. the Coach digs deep into his well to cover a variety of key things happening in the AFL. We take a look at sport around the world, with a peek at the NBA, and finally the Turtle takes a look at the captains who are “getting up his nose”.
