Rotten but still a little sweet! Rotten Mango is a true crime + all things spooky podcast. We love doing deep dives into the darkest crimes and we tend to not leave out any details - which can get a little rotten at times. Caleb Flynn had a particular way of proving he was alone. He sent his girlfriend videos from the family kitchen, filming his dogs and calling out: “If anybody’s listening, I love Alleigha Botner” In another video, he called out for his daughters, then shouted “Hello? I LOVE Alleigha!” Sometimes his daughters were home. Sometimes they weren’t. But why send these videos at all? What exactly was he trying to prove? Alleigha wanted reassurance that one particular person wasn’t there. And hearing Caleb loudly announce his love for her was apparently part of that reassurance. The person she was worried about was Caleb’s wife. The mother of his two children. And Alleigha wasn’t just his girlfriend, she was his mistress. Politicians typically are THE most loved when they’re dead. That’s not a threat. Something about no longer wielding power makes them more lovable. And obituaries typically omit the bad stuff. Which brings us to Lee Hong-koo, South Korea’s former prime minister, who held office when the Sampoong Department Store collapsed, a case we covered. His legacy spans decades. But now, netizens speculate that his grandson could become better known than him. They believe Winston Lee, one of the accused in the Cornell 7 case, is his grandson. That connection remains unconfirmed. But if true, Lee comes from one of South Korea’s most prominent families. And he’s lawyered up. His lawyers want New York’s Attorney General off the case. This is the final part of the Cornell 7 case. Full show notes available at RottenMangoPodcast.com Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Senior Night at a high school football game is a very big deal. It’s kind of like the Oscars and a State of the Union coming together for one night. There are tears, balloon arches, and slow-motion football videos, with a coach trying his best to sound like Morgan Freeman. But at Timberline High School in Boise, Idaho, the spotlight has shifted from football to protests, police involvement, and student walkouts. Homecoming festivities, including the game, were canceled after a Snapchat group chat allegedly involving football players went viral. The messages allegedly discussed how they were going to r*pe and kill a female student. “Let’s make her life hell.” “Hell yeah.” Then came a chilling reference: “You think Cornell was bad? Just wait for us.” This is part 2 of the Cornell 7 case. Full show notes available at RottenMangoPodcast.com Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. There aren’t many reasons why a pedestrian gets hit by a car ends up being at fault. But at Cornell, a student whose foot was allegedly run over by university president Michael Kotlikoff’s car was banned from campus for a year. A few months later, Cornell faces another scandal. Jane Doe files a civil lawsuit against the university and seven fraternity brothers, alleging she was gang raped for seven hours. Her dream university becomes a nightmare, while some of the accused allegedly receive punishments like workshops and essays. Now, Snapchats, text messages and recorded phone calls are emerging. One accused says he was assaulted by Jane Doe, not the other way around. Some people have already picked sides. But like most cases, maybe it’s not so simple. This is the case of the Cornell 7 . If you ever feel the urge to occupy yourself entirely with learning about the directionality of stroller wheels, is it an all-wheel-drive baby stroller? There’s dense literature on Reddit parenting forums. You’ll come out more educated on strollers, and equally confused about which one to buy. But that’s surface-level content. It gets much deeper. You might stumble on posts asking whether it’s normal to hear cries that aren’t really there in the middle of the night: phantom cries. They used to call it “insanity of lactation.” Now it’s postpartum psychosis, a rare, severe condition distinct from postpartum depression. Postpartum depression is more common, affecting about one in eight people who give birth. Postpartum psychosis affects roughly one to two per 1,000 births. Depression can mean persistent sadness, anxiety, and exhaustion. Psychosis can involve hallucinations, delusions, and disorganized behavior, and it can be intermittent, hidden behind long lucid periods. That distinction has become central to the question surrounding Lindsay Clancy: did she have postpartum psychosis, or didn’t she? A jury room is supposed to be where a case finally comes together. Instead, it can become a pressure cooker: strangers locked in a cramped space, arguing over evidence, sending desperate notes to the judge, and trying to reach a decision that could change someone’s life forever. That pressure is at the center of the Lindsay Clancy trial. After hearing the evidence, the jury reportedly remained deadlocked 11–1, leading to a mistrial and leaving the public with more questions than answers. What evidence divided the room so completely? What made one juror refuse to budge? And what happens if the case goes to trial again? But the conversation did not stay inside the courthouse. Online, the case has sparked an entirely separate investigation: arguments over guilt vs. insanity, scrutiny of the people involved, theories about Patrick, discussion of the viral Bratz doll video, and crowdsourced searches through records, family ties, and perceived inconsistencies. In Part 1 of this multipart series, we unpack the courtroom tension, the deadlocked jury, and the internet theories shaping the public narrative around the Lindsay Clancy case. On July 20, 2026, a body-cam video appeared on YouTube: a young woman, hysterical and seemingly shocked as police placed her in handcuffs. Authorities had allegedly found footage of her sexually abusing and recording a 13-year-old boy in a public restroom, footage she allegedly gave her husband to edit. Few months later, a young woman named Talia contacted the us after watching a Rotten Mango Episode. She knows the couple personally, for more than a decade... Her story revealed a far more horrifying connection. This is the case of John and Brianna Nethers, and why it took so long to catch them. There are 2 younger women sitting around a table at a trap house in Dallas, Texas. They’re both Latina with a bit of baby fat in their cheeks - but they’re not just some college students looking to buy drugs. They’re here to sell them – a lot of them. One of the 2 women – she’s a narco with deep connections in Mexico. The other woman? Just a Spanish/English translator for her boss, the narco, and the dealer of the trap house, a man named Love. They need someone to move product for them and since Love has connections in the US - this deal could mean a lump sum of drugs and cash PLUS a lifetime supply from the cartel. He just needs to earn their trust. How? Kill someone. But not just anyone. They already have the target picked out. A 35 year old pediatric dentist named Kendra Hatcher. Why would the cartels want to kill a random dentist for children in Dallas, Texas? Full show notes available at RottenMangoPodcast.com Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Destiny swapping is a widely debated topic. The idea that a person can somehow take your fate and swap it with theirs…is rooted in deep levels of jealousy. To the point that it can impact someone’s life and take their blessings, or so it’s believed. It’s much more than a friend trying to dress like you or steal your partner. They are trying to latch onto who you are, your personality, your hopes and dreams. Some say that you can sense it happening. A person will insert themselves into your life, and all of a sudden you start to lose focus, you can’t even seem to make your own decisions. Valeria had no idea, but someone very close to her was seemingly jealous of her. Netizens believed that this person was so envious, that she’d kill Valeria to take her fate. This is the case of 23 year old Valeria Marquez And how she was shot and killed during a TikTok livestream. It's unclear who the saying "it can always be worse", is meant for. A girl named Liv is suspicious that her boyfriend of 8 months is cheating on her. But it can always be worse, right? But what if it's as bad as it can get? What if there is no worse… this is the bottom? Then what? Liv reaches over while Mason sleeps. There is only one way to find out if he's cheating on her, go through his phone. Within the hour, she's packing her things and making a run for it. What she found wasn't another woman. It was Mason negotiating prices with strangers on Telegram: $20 for videos, $30 for megalinks, $80 for all of the above. And links to what she later described to police as little girls between the ages of 6 and 7 years old, some as young as 3. This is the case of Mason Hullo, a TikTok looksmaxxer exposed by his ex for purchasing CSAM, and his bizarre excuse behind why.
