Today we talk with 3x Olympian, Commonwealth Champion and Record Holder in the 200 m Backstroke Adam Ruckwood. Adam is now the Head Coach for the City of Coventry and has coached at 2 European Championships, and at the Junior World and European Championships producing a number of medalists. We talk about Adam's coaching philosophy, how he feels backstroke has changed and developed since he swam, and what key elements he looks for in a successful a Backstroker.
In this episode Robin and Josh, chat with Olympic coach Russ Barber. They discuss Russ's coaching philosophy and the softer skills of coaching, and developing age groupers into potential Olympians. They also chat about getting swimmers back into the water post lockdown, and the key things to consider from technique to mental health.
